I made the clip on the small version more comfortable by cutting/grinding off about a 1/4” from the end with a dremmel, so the curved part still makes contact with the scales but doesn’t protrude up into the palm of your hand. Much more comfortable to hold. Everything else runs perfectly right out of the box on my 2022 model.
I have the small in natural jade and love it. Its a gorgeous knife and the brass pivot coller just looks incredible, after stropping it for a bit its very sharp and yes its very fidget friendly . I didn't realize just how much I did like it till the day I lost it and was loosing my mind for a day thinking it must have been stolen, out of my work locker because I tore the house and every where I had been apart looking for it with no luck and it turned out it hooked on my seat belt getting out of my truck and fell under the seat...Woooh !!!!! I would have ordered another if I had to!
I have the Ria. And its tiny. But once you get used to the thin profile it is fine. And it disappears in the pocket with that classy clip. Might as well pick up something larger. If its the same in the pocket and is office safe.... thats great. I am blown away by how solid the Ria is.
These remind me of our traditional sgian dubh knives here in Scotland... although they are fixed blades, which tuck into your sock, usually. It's the shape of the blade I think. Anyway I might have to get one for the summer!
lost my Elementum :(.. got a Ria, found it too small and returned it..got the small Feldspar and love it...new in 3/2022 is skeletonized and has flush screws in the recessed clip...
I recently picked up a large micarta and a large g10 feldspar. Both had pretty bad actions because the lockbar was way too stiff. The g10 more than the micarta. The show side liner on the micarta one is skeletonized. Not so on the g10. Overall nice knife though. The g10 one was missing a ball bearing in the bearing cage.
honestly I was about to buy this knife as a good user but I remembered that it was d2.. where I live, corrosion is a HUGE problem on my knives. I know I can clean and maintain it but it just makes a little more inconvenient for me. Still a great design, probably would buy it as a gift for someone who doesn't live where I do 😅.

When I first got it it was locking up suuuper early but after a few deployments over a couple days it broke in nicely.
Based review. It's a $40 USD knife of excellent quality, from what I can see. People shouldn't complain about the little things.

They had these for 40 dollars at Smoky Mountain Knife Works, I went with the G10 version for 29 though. It's a damn smooth knife either way.

My crkt large Pilar has bearings. I could be mistaken but I think in your review it ran on washers, if so could you review it again?
