Hello Artisan! Wanted to let you know I just received your titanium pocket clip replacement for the (large) Feldspar today and it made a massive difference in how comfortable the knife is! The original was a hot spot front to back for me, but oh baby does the titanium one help fix all that. Really happy with the final setup on this guy. 🤘🏼😎
@@destro6971 Glad to hear that you're enjoying it, we thought that it would be a nice little upgrade to a lot of our CJRB line and I think that we really nailed the slight curve of the clip so it just sits really nice in the hand!
Read the reviews. Was juuuust about to buy one...in the cart. But I do a lot of homework before I buy. 3 reviews on poor lockup to the point where it's dangerous.
@@keats27 As this model has gone through several small adjustment since its release we have done our best to prevent any lockup issues to the best of our abilities. And if that is an issue that comes up in your model please feel free to let us know because we are more than happy to replace the knife through our warranty department.
I've got the small version of the Feldspar and have been using it for the past couple weeks pretty extensively. Truly an excellent knife, and I agree with you that they do a nice job with their jade G-10. I highly recommend this knife.
Good review. Great knife for the cost. I got one a couple of days ago, and noticed that the clip screws are now flush/flattened, and one of the liners has been skeletonized. Really impressed with this knife.

Love the lines on the Feldspar, I just wish it was in Sandvik steel or something.
Up to date on your videos, do a lot of backpacking and bushcraft, looked at lots of knives, and got the jade large for hiking and the small brown non threatening one for EDC around home and town. Impressed with both.
I just received my CJRB Feldspar subsize in green from Amazon in one day. This is an incredible knife for the cost of $34.95. Quality and action is very nice. Centering is slightly off to the left on mine. D2 blade is very sharp. Thank you for recommending this knife. It will be a good addition to my small collection.
Hey, MC. Good call. I think that sub $40 and 3.5", I have the Civivi Backlash at the 1 spot. For the sub $40 and 3", mini Feldspar has my #1 spot.
i'm 3 years late but I finally got one. really bought it to try a cold dyeing method i came up with but the natural g10 on this thing is so gorgeous i just can't bring myself to dye it!
I got this exact knife, love the jade. Dam can it cut. Love it. Had to cut through 100 ft of old tangled bared hose today, it was butter.
Just got the feldspar. Love the shape of the blade... not "fat", not "narrow"... just right. The one dig I have against it is weight... 4 oz. I think they could easily slim 1 oz off the handle and trim it down to 3 oz.
If you're bothered by the weight of the large, I carry the small almost daily. It's sub 3 oz, and the blade stock is still relatively beefy with a good balance of tip precision and strength.

I have the small in black and it is a great budget option. The ergos are fantastic except for the pocket clip. It is noticable, but I put a deep carry Kershaw clip on it and it is much better.
I just got one today so I wanted to check out some videos on it. It’s really good so far.
Found this knife on sale at a local store, asked the dude to hold on to it for half an hour, got out in the parking lot, watched this clip, am gonna go buy it now 😂. Thry have the blue and the brown. 🤔
That's a sweet knife. After watching I'm going to blade hq and ordering one. I think it would look a little better if it had a wire type pocket clip.

Give it the Benchmade's axis lock and it would be just perfect.
I have this exact knife and love it! I had planned on dying the G10 but haven’t yet. And being left handed I do appreciate the cut out on the left scale! I have to say this liner lock is super easy to actuate left handed. This one was a home run for me! I think it should be your new king of the budget knives 🗡!
I recently got the Centros and I've had to Crag for a while now. CJRB are well worth the money but that Feldspar just seems to knock it out of the park! Great job!
I have large hands, the small feldspar I have to manipulate my grip a little before deploying the blade. If I don’t parts of my hand restrict the flipping action . But when held properly it flicks effortlessly. The handle does fit nicely in my hands. ( my favorite handle so far is Manix 2.) thanks for the review Mc!
Great knife. Not sure about the larger size, but the small feldspar is pretty ungainly for left-handed users. Handed it to a LH knife buddy- he found it uncomfortable to deploy the thumb stud.

I have one. It serves in my hard use group. It does well and I like it. Brown canvas and D2 on mine.
Mine I got from Amazon does not have China on the blade, the model number/D2 is almost too small to read. I put an semi polished edge on the knife and it is a razor. I bought it for my tackle box.
I just got one in green micarta. It is so nice for the price and feels great in the hand. The detent on mine is a bit stiff but it makes for a trusted deployment.
The handle on the PM2, looks like it should glow in the dark.

Pretty knife. Very nice value. And I think that Ser. C1912 actually means "Series 1912". That is actually the model number. Unless you just happen to get number 1912 of model 1912 :)

Great video. I got my small Feldspar from Amazon today. I had been looking to replace my 6-7 year old Kershaw Cryo. This is a great knife. Have you ever put butter on a Pop Tart? It's so friggin good. That good.

In fairness. Compared to a lot of the billboard blades out there, that's pretty clean. Not civivi clean, but still pretty good.

Excellent review and recommendation of this Feldspar EDC! On my sample, I find that I fully deploy it only approximately 3 of of 10 times. Short of returning it, is there something I can do to improve that, such as light oil (i.e., Fluid Film) at the pivot, or will it simply "break in" with use? Thank you!
It is definitely a knife I have had my eye on don't know why I haven't pulled the trigger on it yet.

I have the same knife except my detent is very strong. I'm going to take mine apart & try to unspring the lock bar a little. Other than that, it's a great knife. I actually carry the Agave in jade, just because I can deploy it reliably first time every time. The Feldspar detent was so strong, it pulled the skin from under my thumbnail first time I tried to deploy it. I have to kick the blade out at a 45° to get it to come out. Forget trying reverse flick on mine.
I'm sitting here flicking the blade open & closed, and the detent is getting better. Maybe I just need to mess with it some more, wear in that detent.
I'm always surprised at people's inability to tell brass, bronze and copper apart; they're quite distinct colors. This ring is most likely brass-colored aluminum (not because of the color, but because other knives from the brand have different ring colors).
New to knives here, always been a Swiss multi-tool-knife guy (sold or gave away all mine but a Victorinox Trailmaster that has been with me since 2005ish), and after some quick research and questions on Reddit, decided on this very. Ordered mine before I saw your review; it only adds up. This will be my third after an engraved Buck that has play on the pivots so never use it, and an Opinel 8 that never really gelled with. High hopes (hasn't arrived)!
Color is jade, as in the gemstone, not even close to emerald.

I have two of these,decent for the money. But for that price, jimping should be on the spine and the liner lock. Plus should have a flipper tab..This was not an objective review, reviewer seemed to sugar coat his comments..

It's very fair. Ive got a $600 knife in S35VN (though it's usually a steel found on knives between $100 and $200)

Everything is great about this knife. BUT : Those CJRB pocket clips are a bit of a nightmare. They snag ALL THE TIME and bend. I really need to replace those.
I have 3 CJRB knives, Small and large Felspar and a Crag. Love them, but the pocket clips SUCK!! They all have caught on chairs and bent. Civivi clips fit, FYI!

It looks like the Chinese can offer much better knives than USA for the price. Benchmade, Spyderco are good knives but way too much expensive.
I have a centros and both types of Feldspar, so far I find the quality of CJRB to be lacking way behind Civivi and even Ontario in the RAT knives. Great design, bad quality. Large amount of blade play, centering is all over the place on all 3 of them.
Check that your pivots aren’t coming loose. I have a Centros and a Crag that come loose rather quickly, inducing a lot of blade play and throwing the centering to the show side on both of them. A torx t8 bit and a drop of Loctite might change your opinion. (I also have the Mangrove, weird looking creature but it’s like it was made by a different company, it feels so much nicer and of much higher quality than the other two. It is on par with my three Civivis, which are otherwise definitely a step above in quality and refinement but also just a bit more expensive.)
Interesting. I have a small with no play whatsoever and perfect centering. Action is pretty amazing.

Some dangerous design flaw(s) with this Feldspar, at least the large version. Result in accidental slicing wounds. Myself and several other reviews I've read online. It is more prone to snagging and coming open in your pocket than any other folder I've tried. Either the blade tip is too close and exposed to the edge of the frame, or the thumb stud is too big and sharp edged. Sliced my foot open when putting on my pants when it was pocketed. Others have had their hands sliced in their pockets. Otherwise the build quality is nice.
How about our your knife in your pants AFTER you put them on? Might be an easier fix than trying to get a manufacturer to recall a fan favorite knife. I mean you would be much more likely to cut yourself with a flipper tab catching than the thumb stud and people carry those knives all the time. I’m sure they weren’t expecting people to struggle putting pants on with knives in their pockets 💀 negligence does not equal design flaw
@@gavinmiller1998 The poor quality control on the thumb stud is a commonly reported issue. It affects mine, with the stud being sharp edged and catchy. The action is a bit too springy and unpredictable as well. This is the only knife out of many that I own that will sit in a drawer and collect dust due to the weird deployment action. It's too fast and too slow at different times during the same opening or closing swing. Possibly a tension issue. It's a nice looking knife but no thanks.
