So one thing you left off that was my fix, the jack port itself is loose, commonly experienced with road warrior laptops such as mine which travels at least 140 K per day in a bag getting bumped about on trains, cars and the occasional flight. My fix, try gently pressing the connector into the jack and very gently move in a circular motion. If you get sound, then the jack is loose and you might be able to fix it at a competent pc repair shop or crack it open yourself and see if you can tighten it up (only if your competent, brave or just ran out of other options)
well my Headset is working on my Xbox, but not on PC. theyre even glowing (seems that my pc does recognize them)? but not showing under devices in sounds.
Tried all these things and it didn't work but just now when I re-plugged it in, the thing that made it work was when there was the pop-up asking what device it was, instead of just pressing 'ok' or whatever the equivalent is, I pressed the arrow on the right and it worked instantly.

hey man i tried everything in the video and numerous other guides, my problem is that my computer is thinking my headset is just headphones and not detecting the microphone on them. any tips on what i can do to fix the issue? my headset is a steelseries arctis 2 and my laptop is an acer nitro 5 running on windows ten. the only issue i can think that might of changed it is that my computer bluescreens sometimes and ive had to reinstall windows ten after it auto installed windows 11

1 of the ports for me work but they were for my speaker and not headphone the headphone jack in the front is up to date and is working according to the pc but when I plug my headphones in nothing pops up and nothing is shown connected and all the other ports don't work like yours

For some reason, when i go to websites on microsoft edge like youtube, etc., they don't work at all. i tried it with other headphones, and it's the same thing. works on other apps on my pc, but not on the browser websites. i did the first method, I saw my device and it said "unpluged, disable" Which means it is already able but its not plugged but it was plugged in. I tried it on another device which is a ios ipad and it worked. I dont know what to do can someone please help me if u had the same issue?

Mine worked when I listen to one of my mic by going on the sound section -> go to recording -> select my mic -> go to the listen tab -> and click to "listen to this device" -> lastly apply it. If the headphones worked now, you can turn of it by repeating the steps above. Good Luck!!!

2021 here, nothing seemed to work for my computer. I thought it was just my headphones but then I switched to different headphones and I still can't hear a thing out of it. Guys trust me I tried all the options that I could but no solution. Then I tried A simple solution by going to Control Panel then going to devices and printers and check there if there is an option of microphone , if not then select add a device and let it scan once it scans close the Control Panel and put back your earphones and then again click on devices and printers in Control Panel. This time you would see an option of microphone in the device and printers and if it shows your earphones will definitely work. The problem is that Your microphone device is not added so you should add device in the devices and printers and it will definitely work.. Worked for me 😊

how to unmute them , how did you press the mute on your keyboard guys?
Some keyboards have a dedicated button to mute your PC sounds, if yours doesnt and you havent mapped it to one then it wont be able to.
