OMG!! THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH!! I've been having issues for SO long with my laptop. It just suddenly stopped allowing audio through my headphones and headset. It worked fine with discord, could hear friends talk and whatever they streamed. They could also hear me speak. But as soon as I went to youtube or facebook and tried watching videos, no sound! It was driving me nuts. 1:00 - 1:10 was my saving grace. THANK YOU A MILLION TIMES! Subscribing to you and giving you the BIGGEST virutal hug

Bro could you pls make a video on how to solve the issue where the soud from the pc speakers is leaking even after headphones are plugged into the jack. For example, in my case when i watch a video the sound plays in both my headphones and pc.
Did everything. I've done every solution that has been presented from like 4 videos & various online threads. Starting to think it may be a problem with the computer itself. Rip headphone :(

@Aistis Borusevičius i already found a solution for this. just reformat your laptop. clean install windows 10 os in your pc or laptop.
@Aistis Borusevičius did it work? it 100% worked for me. i clean installed windows 10 version 2004 in my laptop. promise. idk the exact reason. my main intuition is that there is main problem with the win10 os previously installed that any windows update or driver configuration you try can't fix.

@@perezdavid8545 1. download, install and activate windows 10 version 2004
2. check your pc/laptop model then download, install all drivers compatible for your pc/laptop.
3. make windows update for your pc/laptop (windows icon+i)
~that's all~
[note: just refrain from using 3rd party softwares (not made by windows) that will automatically update drivers. i suspect that this contributed highly to the loss of sound using headphones.]

Hey, I spent about 20 min trying to figure out what's going on and this video showed me exactly what was going on but anyway if your headset ...has a built-in volume turner. MAKE SURE THAT IS CHECKED FIRST BECAUSE I'M DUMB.

Thank you so much! Once I got to 1:00-1:10 it really helped. My audio for game was set to speakers, I would hear the game audio coming out my speakers and not my headphones. I just simply changed it to headphones. The game was valorant!

I went to the app volume device preferences and theres a list system sounds, web helper, chrome and steam. for some reason they were all muted. do you have any idea what could have caused this? is there like some sort of hotkey i might have accidently pressed?

Hi! I tried the steps but somehow my earphones are still not receiving sounds. I tried plugging it in another device and it works perfectly fine. When I plug it in my laptop it gets detected but produce no sounds :((

@@sleepisgood2936 i tried using my earphones on another devicee and it worked so the only thing left that I suspected was that my audio port was faulty. Was not able to fix since it was hardware issue, and I just bought an external audio port and fortunately the device worked well! Hope you get urs fixed tho rather than buying a new port like what I did.
@@rezo8073 just fixed mine today.... apparently my windows update that i cancelled somehow destroyed my audio i powered off my pc and then finished updating and it was fixed

On the steps shown here, there is a select option for headphones available in all of these checks. What if the only things shown are for Speakers and Digital Display Audio? All I can see are these options. How can Headphones be re-introduced to an otherwise fully updated Windows 10 system?

HELP, my headset doesn't even detected by my laptop. It sure asks me whether my headset/headphone/mic in is plugged in which I chose headset. But it doesn't even appear on the drop down list of the audio output, the only option is "Speaker Realtek".
