You have to go on system-sound-go down then -sound devices there you should find it

Settings -> System -> Sound -> Output
here click to speaker that doesn't work properly
Now you are inside of the tab "properties"
Audio enhancements - off
Finally, I have found where this setting is!
This saved my LIFE dude
My headset is not broken, i just turned the volume all the way down
We turning on captions with this one 💯
I have a simple solution for everyone if you are using a wireless headset with a usb, just unplug the usb and plug it back in and it works for me every time
Thank you so much and the 4th method did it for me. I was quite familiar with the method because I encountered the solution from the Microsoft feedbacks iirc but It didn't include the part about scanning for hardware changes for some reason.

idk but changing default format worked like a charm lmao. I noticed I was using CD quality so I felt bad and selected studio quality, then suddenly a Reconnect windows sound pops and my audio now is working fine.
The Windows troubleshooter is key! They've improved it so much, whatever problem you have the troubleshooter will fix it.
am I only one who play it at 600% volume and got jumped scared when it worked

At 1:18 also check if spatial sound is on. My headphones did not work at all with Windows Sonic for Headphones turned on there. I just disabled it, and reconnected the headphones, zero problems.
if earphone is plugged but not detected. try to clean earphone jack with toothpick or canned compressed air. maybe some fabric/hair lint

I tried all of these and failed to work. All I know is randomly if I use my mic from my laptop and not headphones, I won't be able to hear sound using plug-in headphones. I've had this issue for 3 years and I don't know how to prevent it since I use the mic on my headset. I don't unplug it at all, I don't have issues with hearing on speakers or bluetooth headphones, yet my laptop won't put any output noise for ANY plug in headphones when it does this. Please help!!!

Been trying for a couple days to get my headphones to work.
They literally just stopped working in the middle of me doing something.
When i go into system everything checks as if the headphones are working and they are detected. But absolutely no sound comes out. I reinstalled drivers, bought new headphones to see if it was the headphones themselves.. nothing at all had worked.
None of this method worked for me :( Does anybody knows what to do if on PC one headphone speaker works but on Phone 2 of them works?

Nothing you did worked, so I uninstalled the headphones and then connected them again and it seemed to work. Now the audio vanished again but doing the same thing isn' tfixing it

Rear speaker jack was not out putting sound couldn't figure out why. I had disabled my speakers because my mic was feeding back and I forgot I had done that. Damn!
