OMG I’m an old woman and I still get goosebumps when I hear him sing and I love that you are listening to all types of music at your age:)
Yes, one of the sexiest songs ever!🔥
Uh oh, back away from Kathy! She's on fire! Stop, drop, and roll, Girl!
Me too! Not only seductive but happy & positive!!
@@kathynicholson103 makes me feel brand new!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
We may be old...but we ain't dead! Mr. Green does it!
Songs like this are a big part of the reason your generation exists.
😆 Exactly!
Facts!
🤣🤣🤣 ✌🎸
More like why my generation exists and as it turns out I'm 2 years older than the guys' mom 😂
👏👏👏👏👏
Don’t apologize for being young: you are far more open-minded than people who call themselves “grown-up.” You warm my heart.
Indeed
Yes
Indeed
Please no apology needed young blood, hell I wouldn't mind being about 15-20 years younger with my knowledge of today!
Karen Green well said
I'm 60 but I'm sitting here dancing in my chair to this.
Same!
Who isn't?
all this great music from the 60s and 70s !
Awwwwwww
How sweet
Bless you 🙏♥
Me too!
Even as a white kid with red, crazy hair in the 70s, when I roller-skated to this song, I felt GROOVY and COOL!!
Great memory 🤣
And you were!
Me too! Only I was a stoned out Rock and Roller by that time. Alcohol free and drug free for 37 years now thankfully, but wow, the music still lives!
Check out Bill Withers: Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone! Fine!
Another vote for "Ain't No Sunshine When She's Gone" listen please
Bill Withers - brilliant, you have to listen to him!!
Anything Bill Withers Lovely Day, Grandmas Hand, Just the 2 Of Us every damn song!
Hello!
That's a good one!🥰
Son you need to put on another legend, Barry White.
That's what I'm waiting for! I want to see the twins reaction to Barry White!! 💓💓💓🥰😜
💯💣💕
💯💣💕
Barry White,the Velvet Teddy Bear!
I know that's right!!!
I think this is Al Green's best song ever and is a classic...his voice is still amazing!!!!
I love “Love and happiness” too
Could be THE best song ever.
Agree 100% Al Green nailed it. One of the best songs ever!
there's a reason it's his most popular lol
Without young bucks like yourself, this old music will die, brother!
Us folks of a certain generation will be singing this in the old folks home and the cna's will try and put us in the Alzheimer's wing.
J. T. Alford - great comment, these song's are our history, they must never be left to the cobweb's & dust. Al Green is a legend. 👍🇬🇧🎧 I'm a 59yr old white lady and these song's are our time machine, our memories, our everything.
@@smellygoatacres 😂🤣👍They could try, ain't gonna happen. 👌💜🇬🇧
These lyrics are clearly written and well sung. Motown music kept me alive when I was depressed as a teenager. Love Al Green!
It's sad that this music seemed to have skipped a generation or two.
I love how you love these songs. Al Green couldn’t be smoother if he tried.
Yeah Al was his typical abusive self with his wife, “get my damn grits woman” smacking her around when she had had enough and threw hot grits on him as he was just out of the shower. The grits stuck like napalm on Al and Al saw God. It changed him so much that he never abused anyone anymore and became Reverend Al Green. Woweee I bet that smarts !
Say it again Sarah P! Loved his voice and swagger. Got all his jams on my playlist right to this day❤️
Has he heard any Marvin Gaye?
@Donna Green how do you mend a broken heart ,guilty , back up train, ain't it's funny how slip away I can go on for the good times
@@SheilaDione girl now you talkin this sexy man
Lou Rawls - You’ll Never Find Another Love Like Mine
Omg Yes
Or Early Morning Love 💗💗💗💗 I still listen to that song every Saturday morning. 🖤
Natural Man
YES, YES, YES
Word!
It didn’t matter what color your skin was, this was a “ go to” make out song.
Makes me happy, that y'all can appreciate the jams from the 70's. We would slow dance to that!! lol
Oh yeah. Total make out song, basement parties with the black lights.
It still doesn’t 💖♥️💕
Al needs to be paying child support to so many women. He's the one who got these women into bed. Not whatever guy was there. Lol
@@keriholton9407 😂😂😂
If you want ALL the mommas, grandmamas and aunties to shout "heeeeeeeeyyyyyyy" this is the song to play.
Rising Sun 😂😂😂 thats me! 68 and still love Al Green
They say when Al Green sings women’s clothes fall off
Great Album
😂😂😂😂
True
😶😳😀🤣🤣🤣😅
Hahahhhha..... 🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
"I'm young." Me: And adorable.
"Let's Get It On" by Marvin Gaye is one to check out. The lead and background vocals are so intricately layered..it's an amazing song.
♥️♥️ The best… love that song. Love Marvin Gaye.
Sweet boy I am 57 I cannot remember the first time I heard Al Green. There is nothing to apologize about much to the contrary it is amazing that someone your age should care for music that was around long before you were born. Your reactions are genuine and quite frankly at 21 you do pretty well, you have your whole life to discover music. Do listen to Tina Turner's amazing version. Stay safe and healthy Regards from Portugal PS: We say his name too, the world over.
That picture of Tupac on the wall behind you, you do not remember but you KNOW him that is what matters.
My thoughts exactly. Al Green's version is exquisite. Tina's version is powerful. Almost two different songs. And SERIOUSLY you gotta do Marvin Gaye "What's Going On."
You're right. I'm sixty. But please. He is not a boy. He is 21.
@@parsleyqueen I want him to add Roberta Flack" s version too. And Al Green singing Simply Beautiful
@@sevenstreams7581 He is younger than my nephews :-) I know he is a young man but 21 is nearly 1/3 of my age...
My dad used to sing this to my mom to melt her heart. She could get so mad at him but Al always got it straightened out. Love Pastor Al! RIP
Al Green is still alive! Get it AL.
He’s not dead! Still performs and sounds as good as ever!
❣️❣️❣️
What in the world? We are losing legends quick enough. This one is still with us. Reverend not Pastor.
Best. Story. Ever. Love it!!!
Take a listen to Al Green’s “FOR THE GOOD TIMES” & “HOW CAN YOU MEND A BROKEN HEART”. True brown liquor songs.
This is played at every cookout. Where are the Uncles, Aunties?
playing dominoes , frying fish and passing around the ' shine aka creek water
Also cleaning music lol.But I realize that these kids are the same age as my oldest kids are so their parents probably listen to rap music cleaning the house and stuff so they didn’t listen to music that their grandparents listen to
@@felischiabonds8957 don’t know what creek water is, but I like the other stuff.
Heha
Yea babyyy
Marvin Gaye. What's going on. So right for these times we're living in right now. So proud of you for giving old songs and different genres a chance. Love your reactions. I'm a 58 yo granny
What's going on, my all time favorite. AND now more than ever the song is needed!
Yes!!!!
Yes
What's going on by Marvin Gaye, yes! Song sings truth!
Definitely!!
Stop apologizing for being a young fella Fella. Your introducing a whole gen to real music. It's really sweet to see. Be grateful that the music is there cos it was hard to do way back in the day. Music's still a hard road but way way back in the day it was nasty.
I've always known that the oldies music are the best.
You are super!!! So glad for your channel and your vision.
YES YES YES COULDNT B MORE WELL SAID ESPECIALLY FOR THIS SONG!! 👏👏😘😌
Its okay if he does hes just speaking his personality thats all keep doing what ur doing Youngblood
The stank face u make when the song speaks to ur soul got me 💀😆 stumbled on ur videos by accident but Its so entertaining to see u reacting too so many popular old jams u hearing for the first time.
I love seeing young people discovering "our" music for the first time. I especially lover your appreciation of "our"music. Keep the reactions coming
Don't apologize for being young - it's a joy to see the joy in your heart while exploring the history of beautiful things...
That's real Soul music.. Straight up from Memphis. The Reverend Al Green was the man. My husband was on Stax, he knew Al Green. Great time in the history of music.
Bobby Whitlock, your a legend! The soul of Derek & the Domino’s.🎹
The Stax Museum in Memphis is amazing!
No one sings smoother than Al Green! Good to see you're doing your part to keep his music alive for newer generations.
Al Green had one of the most unique sounds I've ever heard. He was Badass,
literally one of the BEST SONGS EVER
I'm definitely with you on that one.
Be sure to find Tina Turner singing this live. Even better.
Kel J 100%!! omg...she killed it! one of the best songs of the 80’s! i always forget because they are so completely different.
INDEED❗❗❗
Baby times are good or bad happy or sad. Oh melt my heart!
At least he giving oldies a chance..that shows how smart of a kid he is
I’m 20 and somehow grew up with this music. I must be an old soul who is more drawn to old school music and I even sang this for my music exam. This really is where it’s at and I’m happy your also feeling the vibes 🔥
They said on Kelly Clarkson show that they were raised to only listen to gospel!
Same. I am very young but such an old soul. I enjoy old school music so much that I forget about the artists of today.
You are like my 22 yr old niece.
I see myself in you, and vice versa. I'm in my 60's, but all thru my life I tracked down music so I could find special 'listens' that my circle of friends were unaware of; most of my friends wanted ONLY Hendrix, Clapton, Grateful Dead, Joplin, Jeff Airplane...........and I love them, but there was so much more. I have a friend of 47 years and he and I up until the quarantine Covids, would get together and sit and listen to music, making the faces you do when you hear something sweet, something rhythmic......Is music important ?...for me, it's like oxygen, and it seems like it is for you and your brother.....
Staples singers I'll take you there". That is all you need to know.
stacey kaspari fantastic song!! Great recommendation!
YES!!! As well as "Respect Yourself!" Mavis TOLD it, SANG it, in those songs!!
stacey kaspari yes
Yes. PLEASE!!!

"I've been loving you" by Otis Redding. One of the greatest singers this century!
Seconded🙌👌
Listen to another best, Otis Redding- “ Dock of the Bay”
Love your reactions❤️
Yes! And “Sittin’ on the Dock of the Bay”
FACTS
omg otis is really one of my favs. his live album at the whiskey a go go is soooo good
I fell in love with a girl and she fell in love with me after a month smoking weed, cooking omelettes and listening to Al Green. It was the perfect combination.
Damn
Really????🤦♀️💞
"I'm only twenty-one". Oh, man, that really does my head in. Bless you. Keep up with the good work.
Love Al Green, he's the sugar on my grapefruit. Next to Otis Redding, These Arms of Mine and Try A Little Tenderness. Gives you the feels.
Natasha Garcia YES to Otis. Try A LittleTenderness reminds me of a scene in the movie “Pretty in Pink” where “Duckie’ played by Jon Cryer serinades Molly Ringwauld’s character.
That's the one! 😁 Classic
OTIS!!!!!
These arms of mine ❤makes me melt .
Right!!
Gotta listen to Marvin Gaye, "Let's Get It On" 109M views. "What's Going On"
Dont forget Barry White! I 😄

I am middle aged, and I am just glad that you are opening up to other genre of music. Keep it moving boys and get you that coin.
I'd love to hear old Motown come back on the music radio waves bring about love in flood out negative music
Al Green is smoooooth!
Al Green rocks the scene......yo try some Marvin Gaye
"Marvin's "What's going on" sure resonates with these days...
Two of my favorite artists.

Had to watch this reaction 3 times because your getting up and dancing just hit me ! You felt this jam just like us old heads did back in the day. 😎😎
"This is a blessing to listen to" - never heard it put better.
Yessssss.
Some of the BEST music ever was in the 60s... MOTOWN is where it's at!
Rev. Al Green got to see him in the central coast about 7 ears ago. He still got it. Love seeing young folks discover different music game changers
Barry White. "I'm gonna love you just a little bit more" the long version.
Al Green SMOOOOTH!! Check out "Love and Happiness" and "Tired of Being Alone" on one of your reviews, please! Would love to get your reactions on those timeless classics from Rev. Al Green!!
Love and Happiness!!
Definitely listen to Tired of being alone .
Simply Beautiful. Thhat song makes me want to have a cigarette to it & I don't even smoke!!
Watching your reactions to “the classics” is pure joy. Your positive attitude, enjoyment and appreciation is a lesson for us every day. Keep on listening and enjoying. And you should never have to apologize for learning new things!
EVERYone was jammin to this one....even the guys who didn't dance and just sipped....they were bobbin their head a bit all the way through. True gold and true soul. We missed him so much when he was taken too early.
Al Green was always one of the most awesome singers ever. I'm an old 67 year old and I still dance across the room when he comes on!
You are now ready for Bill Withers. Check out his “Use Me”.
I was just about to suggest that exact song!!
That is a great song!
Naw they ain't!! That's another level!
Yes!!
Yes! And Lovely Day!
Another good one to check out by him is: "How Can You Mend a Broken Heart".
"Simply Beautiful" does it for me.
Epic version!!!
Love and Happiness, but the long version!
This is my favorite song ever. It came out after my time but I heard it once or twice on the radio. I was immediately hooked. Al Green, the coolest guy that ever lived. And his range just killed me. But it was the passion and intensity and sincerity in his voice that made me swoon. And still does. Your perspective at 21 means a lot to me. I have kids that wouldn’t listen to this cuz it’s “old.” Thank you very much and don’t stop. Keep going!! You will be successful in whatever you do in this life❤️
Don't apologize. I wish I was back hearing this for the first time. Makes me cry for my sweet hubby. Miss him...
"Y'all be tryin' to get the girls with this!"
Exactly. This and smelling clean will take you a long way, young man.
There's a video of President Obama singing a little of this for his wife in front of a big crowd. That's how you do it.
Joseph Foote loves when Obama sang a few lines of this song. You kids should google that one! Obama’s pitch was spot on. LOVE Al Green and always will
Perfect pitch, and a damn good voice: ruclips.net/video/d8Qu8nThJ5w/видео.html
I swoon over the Obama version, too.
I like this one too 💙💙💙💙💙 ruclips.net/video/CyfLhKeFe9U/видео.html I really miss Obama.
I think everyone's heart skipped a beat that day!😍
“Times are good, bad, happy, or sad...” Classic Al
Don’t apologize for being young. Al Green is a great man and this song is dope! Love him so much. And I love you too for being so real. Thank you young man for sharing your stuff with me! 🔥💜🔥
That voice is straight from heaven. It’s beautiful. 😍
You would enjoy Smokey Robinson's "Tears of a Clown"
Seconded. In fact, ALL of Motown
Whoooooo!!!! " Tears of a Clown!!! Yessssssss!!! Gotta listen to this this!!!
That first reaction is funny! "Ooooo!" #FunnyStuff
Any Smokey 🤩
"If You Can Want, You Can Need"..."I Second That Emotion"..."Satisfaction"..."We've Come Too Far To End It Now"..."Baby Baby Don't Cry"..."Who's Gonna Take The Blame"....man....so much timeless Smokey to choose from.
I love Al Green that's one of my favorite songs
I even love Tina Turner's version
“Show and Tell” is another one of his songs that I love. My husband had them play it at our wedding! ♥️
Show and Tell is Al Wilson, isn't it?
Your facial expressions always get me, blessings to you & your brother!😇
Love Al Green! Please do "Love And Happiness."
Try to listen to Lou Rawls, you’ll never find and Gladys Knight, neither one of us. Ah, sooooo amazing!!!
Yes! Gladys Knight, Midnight Train to Georgia.
Lou Rawls. Hell yes. His voice is like warm velvet. He gives me shivers every time I hear him.
Brook Benton, "Rainy Night in Georgia"
Mmm, mmmm! Love me some Lou Rawls! His voice is like butter!
Nice Choice!!!
I love watching these two young music lovers! Watching them experiencing all genres of music and truly enjoying new experiences is absolutely heart warming... kinda like the first time I played Led Zeppelin for my teenage son, pure joy to see it through their eyes!
It just does my heart so good to know you are learning to love these classic old songs and artists! Bless your heart, darlin'!
Get yourselves down to Rev Al Green's church in Memphis and hear him sing and preach live! He's still around. HE'S a mac daddy. He gives out roses during performances LOL
Also check out Tina Turner's recording of this on her "Private Dancer" album, 1984. Next great Al Green song: Love and Happiness.
I love Al Green, the old songs and especially the gospel, my favorite is I Know the Lord Will Make a Way Somehow. I crank it up on RUclips when I am working in my choir room at church. So funny how many people drop in to see who I am listening to.
Tina Turner's version is especially danceable
This is on my bucket list! I have to get to his church!!!!
Another to try if you’ve not heard of before is Sam Cooke - A Change is Gonna Come. 😉
Anything by Sam Cooke is worth a listen.
Sam Cooke is fabulous!!
Sam Cooke. That jawn is serious!
HA HA HA HA the dance moves ... thisnkkd... HILARIOUS...and he's right! EXACTLY how you groove to this old school jam.
I could watch these 2 alllll day!❤💋 ah, the joy of being young& innocent. The 1st time for all the things you've done, seen & heard in your life.... I'm forgetting already... I wish his brother was with him for this! Love the dancing! He already knows!😉😁❤
This is one of the greatest songs ever. I will never forget when Obama sang it and the crowd went CRAZY!!!
"Tired of Being Alone" is another great song of his. Could listen to him sing all day. Great voice!
All time favorite Al Green song
I just turned 67 and I got my 1st Al Green album in college when I was 18. It was called living for you and I recently found the whole album on RUclips and Al Green is one of those smooth smooth singers that will just carry you away
Oh my goodness this song takes me back! I fell in love for the first time and the best part was he was in love with me, and this was our song! He passed away but we had something special for a little while and I am grateful for that part of my life journey.💕💕💕
My mother used to play this on the "record player" when I was a kid.
I’m in my 50’s, when it’s easy to start complaining about the music of “kids these days.” You are inspiring me to go listen to something new. I hope I can listen with as open a heart and mind as you do.
Oh hell yeah!! Al greene!! He is awesome! To the max!! 🙋🌶️☝️😜☮️✌️💓💪👍💓💪💓💪👍💓🔥
Admit it - you listened again after recording this video! You might be young, but your “old soul” was showing.
I saw y'all on twitter this morning, listening to Phil Collins "In The Air Tonight" and I cannot stop watching y'all! I'm obsessed!
Same!

You know he's feeling that music when he makes that face like hes smelling cabbage!LOL!
LOL
Going through a divorce after 30 years of marriage and this has always been one of my go to songs...you made it ok to listen to without crying just by being so open and appreciative of it. The lyrics are just so raw and real and his voice is like an emotional journey in itself.
Al Green lots of memories!!! Seniors are just getting it on!!!!!
When we were young in the 70's, we used to go to the Cavern Club in Liverpool and they had a DJ upstairs. He played Al Green, The Temptations, Sly and the Family Stone, Marvin, Otis etc. It was a brilliant time . Lovely to see you listening to this great music.
Esther Riding all excellent bands. Love them all.
@@annamariadenner2518 Hi Anna Maria, they were just superb and we will probably never see their like again, sadly.
Esther Riding I can’t even pick a favorite because they were all so good in their own right. I still feel sad when Marvin’s name is mentioned. So sad!
@@annamariadenner2518 Sorry it's taken so long to get back to you but, yes, it was so sad about Marvin, Hope you can find some comfort from the music he left behind. Take care xx
Esther Riding it’s bittersweet. God Bless You!
I just don't understand how you can hear this song and thumbs down the video.
Maybe they're not gettin' it on!
One of my favorites
Agreed!!!
First off much props to the two of you for even playing this real music, real voices to the younger heads out there. My sons are the same age and younger than you and they know all the old school songs, I guess you didn’t grow up with oldies playing in the house. Better late than never!
Love Al Greene. Those highs. Beautiful. Soul.
“Would ja baby?” Love that little part my whole life and Im old.
omg, how much more sexy is that line and how he sings it.....gives me chills everywhere and I mean "everywhere"
Alright I found another you may not of heard but will probably enjoy.
Herb Alpert’s Rise. No vocals, played at every wedding I went to as a child in the late 70’s early 80’s
OMG, the Tiajuana Brass! You guy gonna LOVE their sound.
My favorite is A Taste of Honey. My parents had the albums. There was one with a cool album cover. Do you remember it? It's a photo of a beautiful woman covered in whipped cream. I used to stare at it a lot. Even at a young age, I knew something interesting was going on there.
Katie von Gremp Same! Whipped Cream and other Delights it was called
Oh TEA!
Just earned yourself a subscriber with this one. My all time fav male singer from that era
I can hear just a note from this song, and have his smooth voice in my head the rest of the day. Now I have to go listen to more Al Green. I miss him so...
THE REVEREND OF SOUL! AHHH YEAHHHH
Try Minnie Riperton "Loving You" (Maya Rudolph's Mom). A surprise or two there. Then you've got to do a Bowie tour of the ages. No one recreated himself in 50 years like he did. And loving what you guys are doing. Music has a lot to offer. Keep expanding those horizons.
GREAT song!
True! Minnie had the voice of a perfect angel!
Minnie was just wow. Wow wow
