What a stupendous day you had, great weather and some of the best vistas around. If you wouldn't mind putting in an "at height" warning I would be grateful. Asking for a friend.🤣
Great video, thanks for sharing. Fabulous drone footage. You were very lucky with the weather - we tried that route in reverse last September, but only got as far as brown crag before having to accept that the wind was dangerously strong, and so bailed out. It's clearly a great walk ( in either direction!) so we'll keep it on the to-do list!
Tell me about it... all the times we tried to do Dow Crag before the weather was just the pits and we always ended up doing what you did... That day was just perfect though.. and to be able to get the drone up was a huge bonus. We did laugh though as there were a load of school kids on the summit before we got there and they were more interested in the drone than their teacher trying to tell them about Goats Water... It's definitely a summit to do in good weather.. and when you do make sure you send me the pictures!! Good Luck! All the best Matthew & Sue
Hi Matthew & Sue, I've been a subscriber of your of a little while now i thought I'd just let you know that i love your videos ! Even although I'm Scottish, I love the Lakes and usually go for a week every year. The quality of your videos are fantastic and make me realise how much i miss walking in the area! Best Wishes!
Hi George, I have tell you Scotland is my second home... I spend a lot of time up and around the Tomintoul area and on the west coast around Loch Arkaig and I'm quiet often over on the mighty Knoydart.. Although you don't hear may Scottish accents over on Knoydart. The Lakes does have one massive advantage for me which is the lack of midges... however the midges have never bothered me on the mountain tops of the Cairngorms. Thanks for your lovely comments and don't make it too long before your back down here in the Lakes... we do have better beer here thou... ;-) Thank you so much for watching... we should be doing Brutal Buttermere 2 on Thursday with a trip Fleetwith Pike & back over Haystacks but I've frustratingly tweaked a nerve in my lower back... but we will hopefully be out and filming.. Thanks so much for watching All the very best & send my best to the Highlands Matthew & Sue
Hi just came across your channel. Did this walk with my son on June 17th this year. As you say Dow Crag is awesome. Going to binge watch the rest of your videos over the next week. ❤
Wow.. Cheers David.. yes Dow Crag is certainly up there on my favourite list.. We haven’t been out in ages but we have some plans to get out soon.. Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoy our other videos 👍🏻👍🏻
I can’t believe you haven’t got more subscribers to be honest. Great commentary from you and love Sue giggling in the background when you stumble 😂😂 Also love the dog Gin, we have a Border called Dora only 10 months old can’t wait to get her on the hills
@@davidaspden3553 Thanks David, we really appreciate it when we viewers enjoy watching our films.. We just set off and have some fun along the way.. Gin is a great companion on the fells and it's great to hear you have a boarder also. I would invest in a brightly coloured jacket tho.. we have lost Gin a few times as she can be perfectly camouflaged in the undergrowth.. Thanks Again 🙏
Hi Glynn, thank you so much for your lovely message.. And I really apologise for not updating my channel lately but we have been very busy at work and that tied up with a few breaks to Italy we haven’t been out much. I’m now getting on top at work and we are planning some new walks as we both really miss getting up them mountains. I do have one in the pipeline ‘Brutal Buttermere part 2’ I just need to polish it up and finish it off.. so keep your eyes peeled.. Thanks so much again and keep watching 🙏🏻 Matthew & Sue
Hi Matthew and Sue, that is so good to hear, I was so worried that something bad had happened, really looking forward to your next video, we are working through the back catalog and loving them. Stay safe on your future treks and keep them coming. Cheers Glyn.
