It's coming-- after this record, we'll all evolve to become directionless middle-aged divorced dads who excel at staring into twilights--Coors light in hand. Fuck a brat summer, it's sad dad summer and I love all of you.
Your dad might have had Neil Young, but that cool older cousin that you never really got to know had Bill Callahan. Check out his stuff. Peace and Love.
this is like, 1996 summertime, stay up late and watch 120 Minutes vibes. bookend this with some Buffalo Tom and Lemonheads and it fits right in. fantastic
In a year packed full of extremely good albums this one stands out to me. It’s truly a achievement how gorgeous this album is and I’m so glad to be alive at a time where I can experience it.
This and the video before are really well done as far as expressing the energy of folks and the land. Very good! There is a somber seventies energy with a Saturday Sunday dawn in the south vibration.....it's in .....like in the beginning of all the late seventies TV show intros before people got completely away from a simple soulful vibe in the eighties from the influx of the cocane . Great soft steele. Good licks. Yall boys and girls got something good going! Definately!Again, Ive said it before,I come here because I like this place and like that younger folks appreciate and make the sound of this place. There's this Amanda Shiers song I play constantly called Swimmers that takes me there also. Stay strong!
@@hugemanatee Yes , sad and beautiful at the same time. "When you need a train ....."is like that also. She's a great lyricist and musician . I like this if it's even concidered country only. Just good down to Earth music.
I don’t know why this was recommended to me. I don’t listen to this style. But wow am I glad it was. This is fantastic. Watching it for the 3rd time in a row. Incredible
I love less than a mile from Rose Hill Cemetery, where Duane, Gregg, & Berry Oakley are buried. Used to go sit on Duane’s marble slab and smoke devil’s lettuce in the 90s. His daughter Galadriel said it gave her a sort of peace when people would visit his grave because it kept him alive in a way. Then people started chipping pieces of marble and doing dumb stuff that prompted a fence to be built, and those days of musical communion are long gone. It’s a shame people can’t be respectful when given free rein. Oh well. Lowest common denominator, I guess.
What a cool song. I just discovered this guy TODAY! . That’s makes it a good day for me. I know you guys must have known him for a while, but I just love discovering “new to me” artists
Dam I startled listening to Wednesday about 8 or 9 months ago and they feel so 90s and I love them then just found this dudes own stuff so Hapoy to find new music.
This MJ guy is super inspiring. Too bad he didn't remember there's already an MJ out there. People will be really confused which one they're listening to.
i like how i’ve heard pretty much all the album tracks just from live videos over the past year. but it’s also how I know it’s gonna be his best album to date 😅
drinking a high life at 7:43am listening to this on my tape deck, i don’t think it’s been this good before

DAMN that lead guitar sounds so nice
Joker summer commencing
This record sounds like it’s gonna be a perfect mix of Boat Songs and Ghost of your Guitar Solo
This is definitely in the top 5 best things, just in general.
First time hearing. Getting some Tragically Hip vibes. Very good stuff, boys.
Is this… the best guitar lick I’ve ever heard?

Love this song. Thank you, Mick Jagger Lenderman.
Sounds like Uncle Tupelo or some other 90s alt country indie.. love it
Boat Songs blew me away. Manning Fireworks may be just as good. This track is sublime
I love the imagery in the lyrics, very evocative of draining from hotel showers.
gonna be album of the year
Love your style guy. Thank Katie for getting me into you with her last album ❤
Beautiful song, reminds me very fondly of the Allman Brothers’ “Melissa.”
Thank you! I was trying to place the song. It's been driving me mad. Every time I heard the lick! Love both songs. 👍

More like Jay Farrar than that scoundrel Jeff
Willy Vlautin/“Richmond Fontaine” vibes in the best way. I love the storytelling and imagery in music like this.
