This IS a goddamn great country song. This is as raw as good alternate country is. Makes me think of Uncle Tupelo, country-tinged Pavement, with a hint of Sleater-Kinney. This is just wonderful and the song of 2023 for me.

A guy from MJ Lenderman reommended that I have a listen to this band called (Wednesday) which I'm doing at this moment on a wet Saturday night in Melbourne,I really liked the song (Billboard)which had a video,as well but so far I'm really impressed and I'd like to thank him for recommending the band to me otherwise I would never have heard them at all.

@@elfpower8300 This one isn't very shoegaze-y but that comes across in some of the rest of the album and especially their earlier album Twin Plagues. Chosen to Deserve is mostly just straight-up indie rock/country.
