doing his best Pavement routine

This gives off Country Weezer vibes with the voice and instrumentation sharing a similar vibe to thei early work. Love that.

Interesting this song has same drum stops and chord progression as with the (Traveling Wilbury's Handle with Care). Great 90's feel, with a driving chord progression under a deep pocket back beat to support the groove. I can totally hear the song "Handle with Care" in this song, which is a good thing. This is refreshing, in that it sounds like it was recorded on analog vs. digital, which provides a more warm/real feel. A pleasant departure from the vapid-minded low trends in current/contemporary rock that comes off as processed, with this goofy auto-tuning, which rips the soul out of the entire songwriter/singer. Well done with capturing the spirit and sound of when music sounded like it was recorded live in a studio, without backing tracks, and other arrangements that steal away the integrity of the songwriting process sonically.
