I have a question, so I’m learning to do this on my own. Trying to go to school for more learning of this. But I gotta ask, does the phone get damaged if you don’t unplug the the battery first before you fully disconnect the cables from the screen and lcd?

Not necessarily. But it is recommended to at least turn the phone off before disconnecting any cables. Sometimes in the old phones the screens would get damaged if you didnt shut the phone off and disconnected the screen cables.

Oh ok, I haven’t worked in an iPhone yet, but I have worked on iPads and sometimes I would forget to unplug the battery first. And then the time would come to install the screen and then I would see a spark and immediately the little pins would be burnt and I would be screwed. So I’m still learning to always remove the battery plug first before continuing on with anything else.

I believe if you don't program it you lose True Tone that's it. It will obviously give you messages saying it's not oem
