Excellent video! I would like to add that for the iPhone 15 and onward models, the back glass is secured with screws located on both sides of the charging port. To remove the back glass, these screws must be taken out, as they attach the back glass to the frame. I hope this information is helpful for anyone attempting to replace the back glass for the first time. good luck with the repairs!
Yes. It much simpler but with new added risks. Cutting the cables on the back of the glass is the most important. Now if you get a glass fully assembled with Camera Glasses it will be a very easy open remove install cables then close.
Yes but yes because before ios18 I replaced one back with parts and everything worked well. No issues even the wireless mic nfc part from iPhone 14 worked on my iPhone 15 without any trigger for unoriginal parts.
In the video below I got everything from apple. They are selling the back glass also but it's a lot pricier than regular online stuff. I think theirs is like that because they might include all these stuff attach to the back glass. ruclips.net/video/oI1IcmaGULQ/видео.html I am in the US the self service repair is operational not sure if you're outside if they will send you parts abroad.
Just Google apple self service repair their website will pop-up in the top with other apple websites. Back Glass generally comes separete from the wireless mic and flash just like the ones I got in the early day.
Great video but I have a few questions. 1. What can I do if my flash light from the camera broke due to a fall. Is there a backcover with flash light, microphone, the MagSafe coil and flex cable? 2. If so, is all this accepted by the iPhone or is there an error message that the microphone or coil is not original? 3. how is the flex cable of the flash light and the microphone connected to the coil? Is there also a connection to the cable or is it firmly welded there? I hope you can help me
Hi. The wireless coil micro and flashlight are not software lock to the motherboard. I tried one aftermarket wireless micro flashlight on my iPhone 15 it worked well no issues on that part (😀very happy they did not tie it). Finding a back glass with everything can be very hard. I cannot find one with everything. Recently found a back glass with Camera lenses then also found a wireless micro flashlight circuit separately. As time goes you may find back glass with everything pre-installed for sale.
Everything here is same as iPhone 15 and 15 Pro. Even wireless micro flashlight of iPhone 14 works on iPhone 15 (I tried it already) ruclips.net/video/fcuaQ27RyW0/видео.html
What are the sizing measurements of the back glass? I mean the height the length and the thickness but im not sure if I translated it correctly. Thank you in advance!
So my biggest question is: Are those backglas components software-locked or not? Never forget, apple could activate retaliations long after this phone came out. Ios 18 will just deactivate the camera? Who knows
Exactly, they are capable of doing that. This is why I showed exactly how to safety remove the back components for anybody to avoid being locked of features just in case it should cause any trouble with any apps. I heard it's locked from another video iPhone 14. The iPhone 14 has the same design. I do not have another 15 Pro to swap parts but most likely they have it linked to the motherboard (most likely the flashlight which is a camera components) camera always disable something when you change it on these phones.
Your spot on non original part message comes up in camera settings should you replace that flash light I found out on Reddit by some one who swapped with another iPhone 15 pro unfortunately apple will not leave these non genuine parts messages alone due to anyone who returns their iPhone to an Apple Store their technician can then tell that the phones been tampered with this is why they do have these non original apple parts message sad !

The only I know for certain is to pressure test the device to make sure it holds air a a certain psi. DIY or even common repair shops do not all have this machine to certify a repaired phone water resistant after they finish with it.
...don't test it in water as if it doesn't work the phone can be permanently damaged. After repair just avoid water or never submerge the phone in water rain and light water on the surface should be fine if the repair was done right. Having a case also provide one extra layer for water no to enter the phone.
The most durable will be the 14 Pro. The 14 Pro has glass plus a full metal plate spot weld to the frame. The 15 Pro a metal plate only around the camera 😅. Those are the reason why I think the 14Pro is more durable and well designed. Now both comes with good and bad. 14 Pro super hard to fix the back unless you have access to a laser. The 15 Pro is relatively easy when you get a back with pre-installed metal plate on the back.

I got mine on ebay, It was like 35$ at the time I did it. Only downside with mine is the mic seem to not be as good as the original while recording videos etc....
I heard simething aobjt some part attached to the back glass that has to be peogrammed with the right sereal number so its pointless to be able to replace rhe glass. Is that true?
Yes. It's linked to the motherboard. The way I did it is the only way to keep everything working together. I successfully removed the back cables and coil then it will be reattached to a new back glass and installed. That would prevent any issues. The only big issue would be if the back got cracked and the cable also was damaged.
The way it has been designed there is not need for the laser machine. If you try the laser machine the primary risk will be to damage the small parts that are directly attached to the glass unless the laser burn only the double sided tape ONLY on the edges along the sides of the phone. In that case the laser machine is still relevant but it would be faster to just use alcohol or heat to remove the back glass. The laser machine can certainly still be useful.
You will lose or you should lose wireless charging, flashlight and microphone (external). There's no way to see which side of the cable control which components. The big issue when this cable is damaged is random reboots and issues with the device. The iPhone IOS does run components checks in the background randomly and for sure 100% when you are about to update the software. So if it got broken you might experience issues at one point sooner or later. Losing the external microphone might be a problem when trying to record videos or being on speaker phone.

Carefully check the flex circuit on the back glass. It might have been damaged (when you try to do ios update you will end up in infinite reboot). My experience was the same the circuit was damaged on the back glass it was working (had flashlight and mic plus wireless charging they all were working) there was a cut in the flex. Then when I updated to 17.2 the infinite reboot started. I stopped only when I replaced the circuit. During updates ios will check all components if one is missing or damaged it may start randomly rebooting. (This is from personal experience and my deductions)

Did you experience similar? I ve check all the iPhone Pros in the Apple Store, some have this issue and some not.. do you know whats the reason?
It must be the way they assembled the phone. It's functional but you may feel these things (hopefully it does not compromise the water resistance). Personally I haven't felt it before doing this.
