Good video but you forgot about the true tone transfer which is important if you also want to keep auto brightness. Also, use isopropanol to soften the adhesive of the screen and also to remove the face-id sensor. It will definitely help !
Question normally you gotta unplug the battery to prevent a short or other issues does that not apply here? I would feel like 15s would be sensitive to that?
You'll need to transfer the IC chip from the original screen onto the new one, which requires microsoldering expertise. That's a whole other beast of a skill compared to regular screen replacement. But, it can be done!
Both answers are wrong.. You need a true tone programmer, plug the old screen, copy the data then paste on the new screen and you will have true tone and auto brightness on your new screen. You will still have the unknown part message.
i wonder if face id still needs reporgramming after transferring it to the new screen. thats some info, most videos dont tell. i think i have to start filming and uploading repair videos

i like the new design of that face id sensor. just that 1 sensor and no 3 sensors attached to the connector with 1mm ribbon cables anymore.

This is not advisable. Just take it to an Apple Store and have them do it professionally and properly.
