OK...Im new to RC and your video is decent but you pull away from camera when pulling the little ball out at the end of the shock arm. I cant get it out. what am i doing wrong?
With the pivot ball in the shock end, you place the step-pin on the pliers into the pivot ball, it should fit in the hole of the pivot ball. Now squeeze the pliers, and the ball should be forced out the other side of the shock end. Hope that helps. -Brett
@@AMain_Hobbies Im working on traxxas stock shocks and was gonna take that ball out and place it in my pro line shocks because they dont have one at top of shocks. Im stumped because this is not working. may be because this is a cheap pair of shock pliers or im doing it wrong or maybe traxxas shocks want let you take them out. I guess im most likely doing it wrong. thank you for responding though. Im just gonna get some washers , so my pro line shocks work. this is so frustrating.
@@oldgeezer6470 If it's the 1/10 scale caps, those balls come installed into the caps: traxxas.com/products/parts/8361 So it may be a pain to pop them out but it should be possible. Email me, i'll shoot you a video of us doing it. Brettb@amain.com Add "RUclips" to the title or i'll might miss it. -Brett
@@AMain_Hobbies Do you guys just sell the balls for the shock caps for pro line racing shocks? I was trying to pull the balls out of the brand new stock traxxas shocks and put them on the Pro line racing shock caps. If thats even possible, so they'd fit right on my Rustler 4X4 VXL. when i apply the Pro line shocks to the truck, there's a lot of play because the ball is not in the shock cap. so i was just gonna buy some washers to see if that would work but if you guys sell the ball for the shock caps. i'd just buy those. Thank you so much for getting back to me. this means the world to me because other companies are not responding. you've definitely got a new customer. I'm gonna be ordering parts from you guys soon.
nice video...is the plier rubber coated so it doesn't hurt the shock shaft as you are holding the shaft?
Thanks for getting back...BTW, do you submit products for review to websites?
Looks good :) very handy!
