This is a very shrewd analysis of Dubai. If you like window shopping for luxury goods that you have no intention of buying, then the city is a wonderful, sparking, glass and concrete fantasy box. . The Gold Suq alone is unforgettable, and the trip across the creek is one of the greatest bargains in the Arab Gulf, particularly if you do that trip around sunset. It's pure magic. The Dubai Metro is also a clean, convenient ant totally safe way to get around the city, and it offers some spectacular views. Don't be fooled by the name. Most of the Metro actually runs above ground. For "authentic" Dubai on a budget, eat at, or near, a bus station along with the Bangladeshi/Indian/Pakistani workers and stay in Deira, rather than out along the Jumeirah, Dubai Marina side. You can have a lot of fun, but do not be seduced by the hype.
I spent 2 weeks in the Middle East over Christmas and New Years, I visited the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Oman. Dubai was my least favorite city, I did like Abu Dhabi better. I felt as you did, and I spent a lot of time talking to the working class people and stayed in an area where the working class lives, it was shocking to see some of the buildings how dirty and unkept they were. Some people told us they worked 7 days a week 16 hours a day, some just get to go home to sleep and then they were right back out. I have friends that live there and it was really great to visit with them but I don't think I will ever go back. It was just not for me.
Dubai gets a lot of hate. Yes it can be flashy but you don't need to be mega rich to enjoy yourself. I hated on it before I visited (wife wanted to go) and I took back everything I ever said. It's safety, cleanliness, so much to do. My fave thing to do was the desert safari, which is a shame you didn't manage to do.
It can definitely be said that Dubai is a transient tourist hub with no community and culture. But it also has a lot of positive things as well. It's just like every other place. You have the good and the bad. I want to visit the Doobuy myself one day. But I like Oman more.
I love traveling and nature, and i saw many RUclipsrs, who travel just for their YT video or to show themselves on camera, But you are a real nature lover and traveler, who has left his home and living a van life just for traveling. Really impressive ❤
Thank you for the kind words!🙂 Yea, we do feel the best when adventuring in the nature and discovering new landscapes, but from time to time we do end up in cities, yet we try not to stay too long if possible 😅😅😁
Your videos are truly extraordinary! I love your perspective on the world! I hope one day I can travel there from your perspective! Thank you so much for sharing, super great job! 👍🥰🙏
Dubai is great for shopping , great restaurants, entertainment. I live in Oman and I’m always happy to be back in Muscat even though shopping sucks in Muscat 😅
I really enjoyed my time in Muscat. I told my friend while we were there if my American dollars went further there I would gladly live there. Very nice people.
@@marialawson8751 yeah it’s very relaxed here, no stress. Was kind of weird after living in London for 7 years. But for raising a family it’s perfect. It’s mainly for families I would say. Dubai for singles and business
Well done, you took me to a place I have not been before. And the nice bit is you're clearly genuine and balanced and hence I trust your thoughtful opinions. I think I'll follow another postive tip of yours and take the family to visit Oman instead, it sounds a far nicer place.
8:53 that is not the worlds largest gold ring. And its only 21kt. It weighs 64kg (141lbs). Its diameter is 49cm. According to the Guinness World Records........straight from their website "The largest gold ring weighs 82.2 kg (181.2 lbs) and was created by Mokingran Jewelry Group Co., Ltd (China) in Changle, Shandong, China on 18 May 2016. The ring is 24-karat gold. It has a diameter of 79.28 cm (31.2 inches)."
Again very nice vlog. To be honest with you, myself as Arabian Gulf citizens I don’t find Dubai a nice place to enjoy as tourist It is beautiful city but not for me. Thank you again for the vlog and the honest opinion.
LOL. The Jetski guys in Sharjah. I did the same exact thing with some friends because the rentals in Dubai are too expensive. Sorry to hear you experience in Dubai was less than stellar. You should come visit Abu Dhabi if you want a more authentic, cultural experience!
i actually did visit Abu Dhabi and you are right i enjoyed it much more :D. so more so that we didn't even film much there. just enjoyed the more chill atmosphere.
Dubai looks awful, rather like a theme park, and seems to have a lot in common with Qatar and Bahrain It seems remarkable that these city states with their overtly materialistic values have developed in the Muslim world. Oman looks magnificent and Iraq is fascinating but these modern cities seem soulless. Thank you for opening my eyes.
Any city can be challenging for those who are penny-pinchers, especially the most expensive and luxurious ones like Dubai. With that in mind, the best option for those looking to save money might be to simply stay home or stop bitching.
Video is innacurate. There are dozens of actual free beaches that everyone go to . Also the jetski place you went to is not even in dubai. Problem here is that you want the top class experience but not pay for the price. These are your expectations.
Yeah they should have gone on youtube and done research too much complaining there are different times of day to go burj therefore free beaches. The guys trying to get business tell them no and move on. Souqs are like this they want your business they not going to hurt you they wouldnt dare
Dubai en çok sevdiğim şehir ve 9 yıl boyunca oradaydım. Çok güzel bir şehirdi ve her zaman gelişti, gelişimi eskisinden daha da arttı.

I would visit Oman for sure 😁.
If you like big cities and flashing building Dubai can be fun, but it definitely wasn't for me 😅
Buddy , Very Intriguing Video 👌
8:04 there is a literal crown in that gold shop.

Love you guys! Thank U for the information. After seeing this video, I've no interest in visiting Dubai. Safe travels. ❤

I remember the real Arabia in the 1970s, love it.👍🌟
I wouldn’t go back there even for £1 million now, everything is so fake
Have you tried Oman?

Are you coming to Abu Dhabi?
We did visit Abu Dhabi as well yes!
Try to visit Morocco in the future
Will do!

@@WildVikingTravels You are welcome at any time, but I advise you not to visit Marrakesh, but I advise you to visit Atlas the Great
Dubai is for rich folks
No, it is for everybody. You can have a good time without being vastly rich. In fact, in some Malls, you can always go to laugh at the prices.
😅your lucky that I didnt get arrested say this in the city is illegal
👍🤔♥
It would be interesting to see you learn about the religion also :)
Sure
You should definitely make a video about Qatar 🇶🇦
I did 😁
it doesn’t worth paying that much for Burj Khalifa 👎
محتلينها الهنود والاجانب علشان كذا فقدت هويتها وثقافتها
My friends..sorry for you coz your money went to waste..
Dust to dust..Dubai to desert.
