This is the first video of yours I'm watching - I appreciate your open-mindedness and love for adventure! Your respect for other people's faith and culture is also refreshing.
Oh! My! Gosh! I've been following y'all for so long and you are JUST about to hit 100k! So excited for you...I knew it would be here sooner rather than later because you two ROCK!! Another great vid! Thx! 🙂
I cannot tell you how much I am enjoying your content. I’ve been binge watching your Iceland video came up in my algorithm, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Been watching Singapore, Tokyo, and now Dubai all of the places that I plan to visit in 2025. Thank you for such amazing content, authentic and real.🥰
Welcome to Dubai, tourists! 🌟 We are always ready to greet you with exceptional experiences and unforgettable memories. Welcome to the city of magic and innovation! ✨
So many images or Dubai show empty vistas and deserted streets, but honestly, the best part of this is that you show a city that is alive with people and interesting things to do. Thanks!
loved it! i went to Dubai tons of times first for vacation and loads for work ... but i have to say seeing through your eyes and your way I am seeing it in a different light .... thanks for the creative way to budget travel in Dubai which is pretty expensive thats why i dont go but also I have sooooo much respect for both of you for fasting when you didnt have to .... your amazing for respectig the culture . i wish lots other people follow in your respectful way of travelling . love you channel devoted fan here from Jeddah , Saudi Arabia .
I live in Dubai and your vlog brought a tear to my eye - your outro sums up how I feel about living here, but I appreciate that you still found joy and beauty from this experience even if it may not have been your cup of tea.
First video of you guys I watched. Crazy you guys did the fasting! Love the half planned and half just winging it style. Love the bobbing motion graphics. Funny ending!
Enjoyed your video. I've lived here for 9 years and it's been amazing to watch it grow. There are many surprising cheap or free things to do. The malls threw me when i first moved here too, but then i realized it's a desert, and malls are indoor so they do everything here, not just shop: banking, bills, eating, recreation. Ibn Battuta is my favourite, designed based on the famous world traveler's adventures. You don't have to buy, just observe. And getting out of town.... in the last few years, the UAE has invested a lot in natural activities all over that are free or cheap. Restored forts, parks, hiking, beaches, etc. I love living here!
Also, I was thrown that you didn't ride bikes or scooters. So glad you followed the rules, but I have never, ever seen people on those wear either helmets or vests. I have my own bike that I ride (nice tracks by the way) so I see them everywhere. Never seen people do that so I was shocked to hear that was a rule.
And yes, I am sad about the grand mosque in Abu Dhabi with the mall. You used to be able to drive right up to it and go anytime. But too many people now. A good alternative is the Grand Mosque in Fujairah. Second largest by worshipers in UAE. And no one there!
Just come back from Abu Dhabi and Dubai and wanted to see their experience on a budget as I experienced luxury at Ethihad Towers. Thanks for the video.
I haven't caught up with your videos for ages for no known reason, but watching your Dubai vlog today has been fantastic. So very interesting. I have never been to Dubai so it was so interesting to see what you experienced. I loved the tour in the dunes - wow, that was so good. And the whirling dervishes!!! Amazing. Such a terrific video. Thanks so much.
Always love how ya'll do voice overs. Really impressed how far ya'll stretched budget in Dubai, even if you did feel like it was mostly looking around and it lacked a little bit of that experience of a place. Oh, and congrats early on 100k 🥳
I like to thank you for sharing your trips because I am traveling to Dubai for my Friend Wedding and I like to know that before I travel there to see many places for short days of visiting 👍✌️👏🏻🌷🌷🌷
Beautiful video! I loved watching this video. I was anxiously and patiently waiting for another video to come out so this was perfect! Thanks for taking me on this journey with you! ❤
Thank you for showing that it’s feasible to be a tourist in Dubai in budget cause 150$ per person for 3 days it’s impossible out here in the US ! So bravo for making it in Dubai ! I can tell since I lived in Dubai for 2 years . Thanks 🎉
Dubai - one of the greatest if not the greatest city in the world. Safe, attractive, something for EVERY budget. I can't recommend it enough. And to make your visit even better fly in on Emirates Airlines. You'll not be disappointed . !!!
Hey Gosh and Lisa, thanks for the video, I live here for a few years and went to that bakery after the video right away to get the Afghani simsim bread, thanks for sharing.. next time let me know and I'll help you around the city 😜
Hi Josh & Lisa! We didnt’ know you were gonna be visiting Abu dhabi, we could have given you a tour😂. Abu dhabi is more laid back and less metropolitan than Dubai, here you can just go the beach in the Corniche area and chilled for free or roamed around the parks, or visited zoos. And there are tons of cafeterias and Baqala (read as bakala) / store for cheap food and most of the malls are near each other. Thank you for your effort to immerse yourself in the spirit of Ramadan and for noticing minute details of the life here in the UAE and the workers who are the lifeblood of this country.
I am sure I will do Dubai at least once as a stopover. There's only so many shopping centres a man can handle but a few days as a layover between Europe and Asia is about all I could handle.
I live in Dubai and can confirm that it's very budget friendly. Remember that the vast majority of people here that keep the city running are not earning fortunes. They need to eat and be entertained too. So there are many wonderful options here to suit all budgets. I hope that you will have a wonderful time in Dubai when you visit.
New subscriber having enjoyed watching this episode. The fact you took part in Ramadan was lovely to see. It's a pity you didn't open one of your fast at a Mosque as you would have had a lovely meal for free and experienced Iftar a little bit more. God luck in your next travels!
Hey Josh and Lisa -I admit I’m not watching you two in awhile. Read your great newsletter-informative for sure. BTW had you watched Brian and Carrie who do budget traveling too. Mostly they document? How to travel (slow travelings the term). Anyway I’ll continue your video here-Happy Traveling…👋👋
how did you get away with filming with a dslr? i live in dubai and im afraid to do that ....am i just being paranoid and overthinking(there are soo many places and experiences i wanna film) insight would be helpful
Been waiting to see where your next adventure is. But sad that you are in Dubai , where i live and breathe for many years and im not there right now. 😢
This showed all the reasons I don't want to visit Dubai, in a respectful and fun way. I like your other videos but I'm finally subscribing because of the honesty!
Josh, you didnt find the parallels to singapore? Dubai took a lot of inspiration from Singapore and seeing how Singapore is one of your favourite places i was hoping for more comparisons between the two
I'm also stubborn about Japanese TV. I'm not interested in movies, comedians, or RUclipsrs, I'm just a RUclipsr who just buys a bimall iPhone and streams it. My image is being tarnished by the people around me, so this is where it comes from. I want my family's life to be better too. If I had one thing, I wouldn't be able to do it.I did a lot of things and got a lot of hate for being greedy, but I hope it's a good thing.
i respect that you really respected their belief and that you also said " holy month of ramadan" not just " ramadan". Seem like a good person

You're very welcome I'm glad you enjoyed it
Then go back no?
@@ElghNvt I hope its that easy, We are already established here in Canada and have a Family😀
As a Muslim who used to live in Dubai, I have a great admiration for both of you for trying Ramadan in that hot weather!!
honestly i love the videos for the minimum budget and maxmimum fun you guys have
We love the channel because you are both just so honest and relatable in how you approach things. You are also incredibly thorough.
So many images or Dubai show empty vistas and deserted streets, but honestly, the best part of this is that you show a city that is alive with people and interesting things to do. Thanks!
You both are so respectful. Thank you for your kindness. You got yourself a new subscriber.

Just come back from Abu Dhabi and Dubai and wanted to see their experience on a budget as I experienced luxury at Ethihad Towers. Thanks for the video.
I kept looking for videos. When I had my surgery in February I watched all your back videos. I missed you guys!

You did the fast? 👏👏 Applause for respecting the local culture! Living as the natives do, following their cultural norms, isn't always easy.
Another great video! I happened to be in Dubai this year during Ramadan as well! My most memorable eats was a Kunafa at a shop in Deira.
We love the long form documentary style content. Reminds us of the late great Anthony Bourdains mode of storytelling.
Appreciate this so much!
Hey Gosh and Lisa, thanks for the video, I live here for a few years and went to that bakery after the video right away to get the Afghani simsim bread, thanks for sharing.. next time let me know and I'll help you around the city 😜
