I had reservations too. I didn’t want it to be tacky, but for certain situations, I think it is cool to have. But also, I have to consider content for the viewers. Now if anyone was wondering about rock lights like these ones, they probably have a better idea 💡

@@Donslife it’s legal here to use on highways and surface streets. Just can’t use emergency colors. White is good to go since I have a white truck. Just not red green or blue.
Thanks for the video..I have almost this exact same mod planned for my Xterra..The lights will be puddle lights attached to the frame rails maybe three on each side. I would like to somehow have the lights activate when the interior lights come on.
You could tap into an interior light circuit to trigger a relay on and off. The relay would then power on and off the added lights
hey bro, first let me say, your content has helped me a ton. I do have a question I too have the aux beam 8 gang switch and tapped my rocklights to it and for some odd reason the switch wont turn them on. I have to click the switch panel button, then click my rock lights remote button to turn them on. How could I fix that?

I think the plug connectors should be closer to the lights in case you need to remove the liners. Nice setup though and great tutorial.

Very nice video. Thats excatly how I want to hook up lights on my 2019 chevy trailboss. Only thing is, I would like to know how you spliced the extension wires and what kind of wire you used? Can I use just reg pos and neg wire or do I have to use the kind of wire you did?
Thanks! You can use any automotive wires. Sticking to the same or thicker gage than what the lights come with is a good idea

I like your video (like the rest of the, i got myself a 2021 1500 at4 also a 3.0 and i always watch your videos for ideas) but for some reason i didn't like those rock lights, i mean i been looking at different rock lights and maybe I'll install some in the future buti think I've seen some brighter ones than those.
Fair, just experimenting. They’re brighter in person. The camera had a hard time picking them up

What is your opinion on the quality of the lights and have you had any issues with them now that you have had them for while.
So far so good. I just checked them for moisture as well as the brightness. Everything seemed great.
I got the same setup i wired everything up when i connected to my auxbeam switch panel its turns on for a few seconds then turns off automatically and i would have to press the power button in the app to turn back on and it switches off after a couple seconds. Any idea why its doing that instead of staying on? Is there a specific fuse power i need? ( i have it in a 30 fuse slot)
I’d connect the item directly to the battery first and see how it behaves. Then you’ll know for sure if it is switch panel related or not

Question can you have rock lights in canada? Not sure about Ontario
Emergency vehicle colors while on public roads is probably illegal most places. I installed them for show and off road. You’d have to check your local laws. Having them installed is fine, how you use them is something to consider
I’m highly thinking of getting these I’ve done a lot of what mods you have done and I got the led bed light bar and love it are these worth it?
They are inexpensive but if you install them like I did, it can take several hours and for me was a dirty job.
@@Donslife I was thinking of just doing under the wheel well area and not copy to much lol. I love your videos and will be trying to do the led light bar in the front soon. And the exhaust on my 2019 elevation
I just bought pretty much this same truck and the lights are installed but I think someone took all the wiring is there a way to get replacement wiring?
Probably better to buy a new full kit so you get all of the correct parts
@@Donslife yeah I was looking at some of the wiring that is left and it looks like it was exposed to the elements for alittle bit, does the kit come with long enough wires or is that why you bought that separate wheel of wire?

When i drive 70-85 mph especially on windy day ir starts to have a high whistle wind noise are you facing the same issue?
Yes and I have it in one of my videos too. Top of the door on the driver’s side. It seems to be the weatherstripping. I have had it happen twice during high winds when driving on the highway.

Does this kit offer white lights?
Not this kit specifically, since it’s RGB. You might find white on their website. They launch so many new kits

Ouch. It’s a demonstration with an on and off switch. Trust me I wouldn’t be rolling down the road every night projecting rainbows 🌈 However if I was in high school still 🤔
