Just a little FYI for next time you need to run something from the engine bay into the cab; I had the same difficulty with routing through the firewall. So what I did for my power step was run wires down underneath the chassis where you mounted the control module, then up through the drain plug underneath the floor board.

I have a question do you have to connect your rock Lights to the battery. Or can you use a fuse tap? And go to a fuuse box to get power?
How did you do the fronts? Did you drop the liners or just drill into them? It looks like there’s no room on the passenger side to run the wires through the engine bay so I’m guessing I’ll need to drop the liner and drill my holes with it dropped down?

I just leave the rock lights turned on on the app and press the switch to turn them on. If you don’t run a switch you gotta go into the app every time to turn them on and off.

What intake is that ? And what kit is that for the raptor grill lights ?
I got the same lights for Christmas for my 2020 XLT. I am waiting til i get wheel well liners before attempting to install. My question is with the electrical aspect. Did you add a relay and fuse on your switch and also have you had any success with just using the switch to power on and off. I know the app is required to change color etc but it would be nice to be able to switch it on without the phone. Thanks
The rock lights don’t tend to draw much power, so I didn’t add a fuse or relay in. The switch works very nice as well. I just keep them turned on through my phone and keep them on the same color and just use the switch to turn them on and off.

If you order the Mictuning C2 version they have added an on/off switch to the setup. As well as still having the app.

How much extension wiring did you need?
The way I ran it I only needed 2 extension wires

@@joshthom298 No problem! Depending on how you run the lights and wiring and where the control module is for it then you might need two sets of extension wires. Just depends how you run it though.

@@joshthom298 It depends how many lights you are going to run to each wheel well. I ran 2 lights to each wheel well and each light requires its own extension. I only needed 2 extensions to reach the rear passenger side and all the rest of them reached, but if you mount the control module in the engine bay you might need extensions for both rear wheel wells.
Did you waterproof the control box? If so how did you do so?
Nope, it was already rated to be waterproof so I didn’t mess with it.

Rock lights DO NOT go in the wheel well to highlight the tires. They should shine on ROCKS for off-roading. Hence the name! Underglow set up is more just making to glow underneath, which is what you are going for it appears.
Pretty weak lights. Much better available
