Just the video I was looking for. I've been thinking of installing rock lights for a little while now. Now I feel a lot more confident tackling it. looks fairly straight forward. Thanks again.
Back in the 1960’s I had what we called ground effects light (landing light) on my 1957 Plymouth. LOL when I was parked at my local dairy bar all the girls would come over to see me or my car? Fonzie had nothing on me. I was the king of cool till in 1967 then it was off to Vietnam for my senior trip, as Country Joe and the Fish would later sing about at Woodstock. No I was not there, never Heard about Woodstock till I got out of the military in 1972. We didn’t have social media back then? By that time Jimmy Hendrix, Janus Joplin and Jim Croce were dead.
@@OzarkOverlandAdventures Nice, I put Oracles on my Mom's JLU and if you use switched power, they revert back to flashing, so no matter what, she has to get her phone out when turning the lights on/off. Total pita...
I have a couple of questions....1st, can you connect the rock lights to the fuse box? 2nd what size fuse you think I will need in the fuse tap?? Please respond....
Hey Matt! Really enjoy your channel! I’m looking to add some rock lights to my Gladiator to help with night rides. How have these been working for you? Do you still recommend them after using them for awhile?
I usually like your videos. But to be honest, I don't think it is a good idea to put the lights on with zip ties and the location leaves it open to being ripped off . I had auxbeam, but I switched over to vvss works alpha 12. You should check it out Much better system. . ... just thought my friend.

Very welcome

We put Rick lights on our gambler Ford focus. They are nice for off road repairs too.
I can see that being helpful
I have a Gladiator on order and it’s killing me waiting for it. Nice video. Thanks.
Thanks!! You’ll love it.
Hopefully this is a sneak peak to a night Overland trail episode soon!
We do love our night rides. They are hard to video though. Lol
Excellent video. Thanks!! Just need to find a good aux unit I can mount above my rear view mirror in my Gladiator so I can setting things up.
Why is it when I stick something with double sided tape I say annnd go as well 🤣🤣🤣 Thats hilarious
Aside from price and having to do some wiring, I love my lux lighting rock lights!
I’ve heard good things about those
I'm about to install a set on a JL for a client. How have they held up?
Still no issues with mine, they have held up awesome.
Congratulations! You can go clubbing while you overland….I’m sure the squirrels will enjoy that
Some people like that sort of thing. We were camping in Moab and I swear someone a half mile away from our camp was having a rave one night.
Nice video Matt. Thinking about this type of setup for our teardrop. Think we can hook this wiring up to a Jackery type portable battery?
Just ordered them, I was torn between these and the Mctuning.
The Auxbeam are better than the MCTuning.
When you switch these lights off and back on with the switch, do they go back to your last setting, or do they default back flashing?
Last setting!
They stay where you left them

Sweet upgrade and video. 👊🏻

I’m not sure how you would do that. Or why you would want to.
Rock lights that match your hair, right? 👍😱👍😳❤️
Great video as usual! How is the double sided holding up after a year?
No issues at all.
@@OzarkOverlandAdventures Thank you!
I can never get double sided tape to hold good. Maybe not getting a good brand
I buy the good stuff
I have aux switches already installed in my rubicon. Am I able to wire these rock lights to that?
of course.
@@OzarkOverlandAdventures do you happen to have a video of this? or are you able to explain?? im a total novice here no idea what im doing
It is possible to connect it to a button?
Of course.
So since the lights kind of piggyback off each other, do you know what happens if the first ones goes bad? Do they all go bad like Christmas lights?
Good question. Not sure. I doubt the whole side would go out.

They are doing great!!
So all of these videos skip over the most important part, connecting to power
Can a regular mechanic do this for me?
Yes. But more importantly, you can do it yourself.
@@OzarkOverlandAdventures yea but my resolution for 2023 is less diy and more outsourcing 😂
Noice.....

I've never had a rock light ripped off.
