Hey, everyone! Episode 2 will be out in 1 week's time. Just wanted to address the criticism of me talking too much compared to the others. The first person to notice this as an issue was myself, which is why I cut out that hour long section from episode 1 in the first place (see the bonus video just posted). The fact that we were discussing many films that Alex didn't have a lot to say about didn't help all too much. All of this was kept in mind for Episode 2 and you will definitely notice an improvement in that category. Thank you!
the biggest problem I personally had with this was at the end, during Q&A, you interrupted Alex every two words he spoke, while you didn't seem to interrupt Ralph much; even when Alex had something to say, you asked him questions like 'what do you think, is it bastardized, is it just not as good, what do you think?...' and the moment he started answering in his own words, you started talking over him. I hope in future you will show him the same respect you showed Ralph, otherwise, I really enjoyed the podcast overall.

Although, not “despite”, but he could ask for his opinion. I don’t thing that Adam should talk less, because he seems like the most structured of all of them and expressed his opinions in the most clear and well-worded way (and Alex on other podcasts, excluding JAR, seems almost shy and prefers to answer questions, not initiate discussions). But I think you need to listen to each other more. Overall, nice podcast, don’t regret spending almost 3 hours on it :)

My girlfriend saw an early screening of this back when it was God Particle, and she said none of the stuff on Earth was there. So, going off of that and articles I've read, I'm guessing what happened is they shot Particle, wanted to make it a Cloverfield movie, but JJ was busy with Star Wars, so Paramount execs scrambled and half-assed the reshoots. So thet spent too much money and Netflix told em they'll buy it to recoup the losses
Incredible first podcast. Even if you are professional at speech, it’s hard doing a podcast with 3 others and finding pace / flow. Its difficult. And of course, every first episode is going to have fat that needs to be trimmed. Its going to have pacing issues as they get a feel for their format. But a couple pointers: * Adam is a great host, but you need to pull back a little and let the others talk. You have the most outgoing personality, so it works amazingly to push the cast through topics. But a great host knows when to get out of the way and be generous to their guests/ cast. You should set up the topic, maybe give your take, then ask your cast mates their take on it. * Use your cast more. This kind of ties into the above, but you have three personalities that are equally talented. Its heavily slanted towards Adam. Alex barely talks compared to the rest. This is a first episode tho so of course you need time to iron out the kinks. But this really needs to be a cast driven show, vs singular . * I assume the intro and first 20 min are unique to the first episode / pilot, as you are just getting warmed up. And you are taking care of the house cleaning (setting up the cast and the shows origins). But I would say keep an eye out in future episodes of meandering too much before getting to the format / bulk of the show. * just trim the show, and find your format.

it was especially noticeable for me when they were discussing Lost. Adam has never seen the show but he continued making his point despite Alex’s comment that he’s watched the whole thing. Although, not “despite”, but he could ask for his opinion.
I don’t thing that Adam should talk less, because he seems like the most structured of all of them and expressed his opinions in the most clear and well-worded way (and Alex on other podcasts, excluding JAR, seems almost shy and prefers to answer questions, not initiate discussions). But I think you need to listen to each other more.

Yeah! They have very different personalities, Adam being the loudest one. Alex is a pretty quiet & reserved guy, from what ive seen. Like they said, they don’t know what the hell theyre doing, i hope they take in the constructive criticism :)

My girlfriend saw an early screening of this back when it was God Particle, and she said none of the stuff on Earth was there. So, going off of that and articles I've read, I'm guessing what happened is they shot Particle, wanted to make it a Cloverfield movie, but JJ was busy with Star Wars, so Paramount execs scrambled and half-assed the reshoots. So thet spent too much money and Netflix told em they'll buy it to recoup the losses

Incredible first podcast. Even if you are professional at speech, it’s hard doing a podcast with 3 others and finding pace / flow. Its difficult. And of course, every first episode is going to have fat that needs to be trimmed. Its going to have pacing issues as they get a feel for their format. But a couple pointers:
* Adam is a great host, but you need to pull back a little and let the others talk. You have the most outgoing personality, so it works amazingly to push the cast through topics. But a great host knows when to get out of the way and be generous to their guests/ cast. You should set up the topic, maybe give your take, then ask your cast mates their take on it.
* Use your cast more. This kind of ties into the above, but you have three personalities that are equally talented. Its heavily slanted towards Adam. Alex barely talks compared to the rest. This is a first episode tho so of course you need time to iron out the kinks. But this really needs to be a cast driven show, vs singular .
* I assume the intro and first 20 min are unique to the first episode / pilot, as you are just getting warmed up. And you are taking care of the house cleaning (setting up the cast and the shows origins). But I would say keep an eye out in future episodes of meandering too much before getting to the format / bulk of the show.
* just trim the show, and find your format.
