There is NO FUCKING WAY you cannot get up from bed or some difficult situation by listening to this song. I still listen to it and I still get goosebumps. The RHCP were friggin unstoppable in 89...
+SELMUN TATATAYA Not trying to one up you, but I remember the day Mother's Milk came out!! My friends and I had started listening to their previous album, "Uplift Mofo Party Plan" and we were ready for the new RHCP album to drop. We went to our local mall, yep, bought it on cassette then rode around taking bong hits!! Nah, just kidding about that last part. We didn't drive around taking bong hits. We parked on the banks of the Tennessee River and took bong hits.
Sounds very cool, man! I totally wish I could have been there when it was released! Sadly, I was just 6 yrs old back in 89 and in my country people would discover rhcp in 1992...
SELMUN TATATAYA Thanks. Yeah, you can't help when you were born. I would've liked to have been old enough to see Led Zeppelin but I was born in 1973. I wish I had been old enough to see other bands like Rush and Yes in the 70's. I saw both of those bands in the 90's and a few years ago, but I think it would have been very cool to see them when they were still quite young.
in my opinion, they've already shown the world that they are the best bone crunching psychedelic funk band ever thousands of times. now it´s time for them to show they´re the best band in whatever style of music they recorded on I´m With You (it´s hard to describe it with one word) and they succeeded. For me I´m with you shows how versatile they are and i just can´t stop listening to it. it´s an amazing record
Good Time Boys was the very first song I ever heard from the Chili's. I was around 6, and my uncle's friend had tried to get him into RHCP, I'm assuming from memory. Both of them were teenagers at the time. But my uncle got his friend into slow jams instead. Resulting in me keeping his friend's Mother's Milk cassette for about 2 weeks.
Flea stutters as the camera slowly zooms in on Flea's derp face and ginormous leopard print hat, which makes him look like a sad special needs kid who spends too much time at chucky cheese, while the rest of the band is laughing their asses off in the most obnoxious way possible. I can just imagine the sad violin and MLG memes popping up on the screen.

One last fact: The RHCP are maybe one of only a handful of bands to have ever stuck together throughout 4 decades of pure evolving rich funky music (and a bit of noise - not every song is a winner!). I bet you couldn't name more than 10 bands to be in this 4 decade category - but still be playing, and touring right this moment like the peppers are??? Just think, in only a smidge over 3 years, they'll be a 5 decader band!!! Now THAT is rare!! Go Boys, I KNOW that you can do it!!!!
I love the skipping vinyl part. When I play this song to people they're always like 'wow wth is wrong with this shit' (meaning their shiny iPad or whatever..)
You guys, people change. I think that if they would have played the same style of music along the years, they would have lost their touch, their magic.
