I can just imagine the sad violin and MLG memes popping up on the screen.
in my opinion, they've already shown the world that they are the best bone crunching psychedelic funk band ever thousands of times. now it´s time for them to show they´re the best band in whatever style of music they recorded on I´m With You (it´s hard to describe it with one word) and they succeeded. For me I´m with you shows how versatile they are and i just can´t stop listening to it. it´s an amazing record
Good Time Boys was the very first song I ever heard from the Chili's. I was around 6, and my uncle's friend had tried to get him into RHCP, I'm assuming from memory. Both of them were teenagers at the time. But my uncle got his friend into slow jams instead. Resulting in me keeping his friend's Mother's Milk cassette for about 2 weeks.
I was 5-6 years old in 1989. This is my favorite of theirs. How is this song not a single? My 16 year old says he likes a lot of their newer stuff. Mothers Milk my fav album cuz it kickstarted their career
I hope so too but probably not since they're a lot calmer than they were back in their 20s. I still love all of their songs though no matter what direction they go.

I bet you couldn't name more than 10 bands to be in this 4 decade category - but still be playing, and touring right this moment like the peppers are??? Just think, in only a smidge over 3 years, they'll be a 5 decader band!!! Now THAT is rare!! Go Boys, I KNOW that you can do it!!!!
I love the skipping vinyl part. When I play this song to people they're always like 'wow wth is wrong with this shit' (meaning their shiny iPad or whatever..)

What I like about RHCP is that theyr'e playing through their soul, they play what they feel at the moment. By the time they change, and so as their style. I love them, think they're great. Mother's Milk & Blood Sugar Sex Magic were peak RHCP. They have had a few good songs before that Era and after but those 2 records were solid all the way through.
Saw the Mothers Milk tour at a little club called the Kawasaki Club, in Kawasaki Japan, in 1989 or 1990 maybe. It was epic. My buddy and I were the only 2 Americans there, and we were right in front of the small stage. Those guys had energy like no other.
I think I have to be the only person to think that the RHCP would have fit perfectly as a Disney Channel band. You know, if Disney enjoyed getting pumped in the place where the sun doesn't shine.
It’s interesting how Anthony always had a hip hop vibe to him through the 80s and early 90s (not just music how he spoke and mannerisms) even though none of his friends did. That did go away though.
