Same. Finally saw them for the first time ever, here in Australia just before Covid. I have waited since the 90's to see them. I was front row, in front of Flea. BEST thing ever. Now their tickets are three times as expensive. Glad I saw them when I did. Glad you got to see them!

By far their best album. This is when they were at their peak.
Absolutely, without a doubt. They still had their youthful exuberance and raw creativity but it was balanced with a sense of refinement and more discerning musical sensibility. A completely magical album. None of their other material even comes close. I seriously doubt anyone who says otherwise musical acumen.

Dunno. If You Have To Ask, off the same album, is probably even better than this masterpiece. Just listen to John's ode-to-Hendrix solo at the end of the song, over that funky groove... killer. I was 20 when BSSM came out. Such great times and great music across many genres from LA, Seattle, and NYC - all at the same time. Sigh.

great song! got to love the chilly peppers. I really dig this album the most. I felt that they had reached a groovin platoo here and really learned each other because all the recordings are really tight on this album. I love the other albums also but for some reason i can just put this one in the sterio and listen 600,000 times and not want to change the cd. Truly inspirational artists and a big influence in my own music

This was the video that got me to like the Chili Peppers. I didn't care much for Give it Away or Under the Bridge, but this? After seeing the band playing, the whole raw, visual vibe of the band made me think ; I want this. It was a big difference from how everyone else looked like in '91. I shaved my head soon after like John's.
