I switched from an iPhone 13 Pro Max to the iPhone Mini. I gave the Pro Max to my wife but I have loved the mini in every way. I love it’s size and ease of use. The pocketability of the phone is amazing. I hope apple doesn’t axe the mini phone in years to come.
Exactly my logic. It's like a sweet spot between the best innovations over the years and the original compact iPhone design. Never was a fan of the oversized, rounded aesthetic that was borrowed from Samsung.
Once I used the iPhone 13 mini for a couple of weeks, it’s hard going back to a full sized 2021 flagship phone, they feel ridiculously oversized and something not meant to go in a pocket nor being used one-handed. I was drawn to it because I spend quite some time running outside and I like carrying my phone with me, but now I see it like the natural size for everyday use. Very happy with it!
The iPhone 13 mini is the first phone I ever bought with my own money and paid in full. It was very much worth it. It’s just so nice to use and it’s the most unique phone Apple makes.
I’m saving up for it, and it’s going to be my first phone too. I’m very excited! :D I’m just making money off of chores though so it should take about 8 more months for me to get enough money… *oof*
I think if you want a small phone, you should absolutely get this one. This is probably the best small phone on the market, and it probably will stay that way for some time. Apple are rumoured to be dropping the mini line next year, so if you want a small phone, get the 13 Mini now!
I upgraded from my old iPhone 8 to the iPhone 13 mini. I walked right into the apple store and paid in cash. First phone I ever purchased by myself and I do love it. The size is literally perfect and the battery life is hella nice. There’s really not much wrong with it.
@@birthdayboi2040 the body is actually a bit smaller on the 13 Mini, but the screen is bigger. The mini has a 5.4 inch screen and the 8 has a 4.7 inch screen.
I upgraded from my 6s+ to this 13 mini, pretty much the same screen size as on the 6s+ but with no notches, and also it is so much lighter in the hand. For a little while I used a cheap android as an secondary phone, it has a humongous 6.5" screen, that phone barely fits in my pockets. I mean sure a bigger display is more nice for viewing content like netflix/movies/videos, but you sacrifice so much on usability and it's more a kin to using a small tablet than a phone, where everything becomes a two-hand action. I have relatively small hands and I can actually use my phone with one hand, that's really cool. The market is seemingly headed towards the synergy of a phone and tablet, remember the old phrase 'phablet'. Like the pro max is nearing 7" in screen size, there are literally cheap tablets with the same screen size and even apple's ipad mini is 8", might as well get a ipad mini for cheaper and use it as a phone. Jokes aside, I'd rather have two devices for two different uses - a tablet and a phone -, because if you have something inbetween, you will have compromises, and for someone like me, who uses their phone mainly as phone ie. checking mail, calling, texting, social media, news. Rarely do I use my phone for watching videos, and honestly that screen size is good enough for when watching stuff laying on your bed or on the couch, As for the battery life, for me it last's around 3 days on a single charge, since on an average day I'll have maybe 2h SOT and after two days the battery is generally around 30-40%, but since it's a small battery recharging it is quite fast. I'm sad to hear that apple is thinking of binning the mini lineup, but hopely this 13 mini will last me as long as my 6s+ did.
When you think about this in terms of poorer countries like India it makes sense. They can't afford to have a phone, tablet and laptop at the same. So they just buy a big phone to satisfy all of their needs and not have a problem with losing out of anything
2 years later and you can't get an android phone under 6.1 inches...and they also weigh so much these days too, average android phone is 190-200 grams, the weight is as big a problem as the ridiculous sizes now... That's why I am here looking at the iPhone Mini 13.
Transferred from Samsung A71 to this iPhone mini and when I am holding the A71, I feel like I am holding a tablet already. Mini is the perfect size and the software is really the sweet spot of the phone (compared to most android phones). Will stick to this for the next few years.
i have a Samsung A52 and while is a beast, The size is too big. I really like pixel 1, pixel 4a, owned a Xperia Z1compact. Seriously i'm planning to buy iphone 13 mini because i miss tiny phones
Went from my well loved 6s to the 13 mini and am really liking it, the screen is slightly larger than what I’m used to yet the body of the phone is a familiar and easy to handle size. Also the battery life is great, with my normal usage I’m getting two full days out of a charge with ample juice left over.
I really think Apple never should have moved away from the 5.8inch screen for the base model, that was a near perfect compromise. I like my iPhone 11, but it's certainly rather big and difficult to fit in most pants pockets, especially activewear.
I got rid of my 11 because it felt big and awkward because of the curved sides. Got a 12 Pro max and ehh it’s too big for comfortability. 13 mini is next. I love the size and feel, not to mention the reachability
Got the iPhone 14 pro max - bloody hate it. Unnecessary functions etc. It’s going back on Sunday. After seeing this going to go for the iPhone 13 mini.
@TwinTurbo Ray too bad there aren't any much choice for compact phones. Wish Sony would continue the compact series. Had the Z4 and X Compact back in the day, best sizes by far for me
@TwinTurbo Raythey really need to stop trying to get rid of bezels, i love having thick enough side bezels where i don't have to worry about accidental touches when i'm holding it. also, the notch just looks hideous, it's like a balding man desperately trying to keep what's left of his hair, trying to cover his now huge forehead by doing a comb over. either own the camera punch hole (which i'm not a fan of either but it is less obtrusive) or just have even bezels all around, even if that means the forehead and chin are more pronounced.
@@michaelgarvey2148 it’s simpler, which is a good thing if you just want a phone that works. I was using gesture controls on my galaxy note 10 before I switched so it wasn’t too jarring switching over, as most of the controls on iPhone are gesture based. Hardest part was giving up all the apps and games I bought on google play since iPhones use the App Store. Face ID is nice but I miss my finger print sensor.

I must admit that I absolutely loved the 7 series (size, internal memory, still fast OS) and still today it’s working so I have zero complaints about it, and the 13 mini was just a well deserved refreshment for me in every way, I’m loving it to the fullest!!! Switched to iphone 13 mini from Huawei P30 pro (always had full sized flagship android phones) After 2 days I almost sold iphone, had really hard times to get used to small size. But now I love it, standard iphone 13 looks to me like a joke - unnecesarilly big. Battery life- my previous phone had almost 2 days of battery life but in one day I really don't want to be more on the phone than the battery of iphone 13 mini allows.
I looked for months before switching from my P40 Pro, and size was definitely a consideration. I purchased one and it arrives tomorrow. Shame Apple removed the mini from the product line, I fully expect to love it.
Great review!!! I have a 4 year old OnePlus 5T and though its ageing quite well, I'm tempted to get the 13 mini, the only challenge is here at India, its damn expensive :-( so holding on with my 5T until I can afford. But this would be my next phone (hopefully in a year from now)
I couldn't resonate more with the struggle to reach the top of the phone to go back on every single application. That was my hardest frustration when I've got the X, and to this date is a pain whenever I switch from my everyday android to the backup iPhone 🤯

Just bought my first iPhone... Been using Android for 15 years. Love the hardware, don't even mind the notch... Fave unlock is worth it. However... The lack of custizability is painful. Almost returned the phone after I could add a custom ringtone. But that camera and video swung me... It's pretty amazing.
I bought my first iPhone recently mostly because of the design. In front, you can see the satisfying uniform bezels & rounded edges. At the back, You can see the simplistic yet premium look. Actually I am just bored using android for many years and want to try something new.😁 Still not a fan of ios though, but I think I will get used to it.
Well what do you know.. the battery does really holds until the evening. And I started the day at 77% battery! 4 hours browsing the web at work on the phone and still have 20% left, I have nothing to complaint.
A colleague at work has one and id been tempted last year but battery anxiety moved me away… its so enticing as the size despite being small is like the Tardis and deceptively big
i upgraded my phone from iPhone 11 Pro to iPhone 13 mini because it is compact. But I am thinking of going back to my old iPhone because i really missed the telephoto lens. Also the battery is weak in iPhone 13 mini. I am not even a power user. I don't play games but the battery is weak. Too bad because i really like the size of it.
The fact that all you nerds in here are just commenting about the actual phone and not how ducking hilarious this lad’s video is, is just a shame. Good on you sir, this had me howling
I prefer the larger screen on the promax because it feels more immersive when watching RUclips or going on social media. And it has the best battery life so far, only problem is that it is too large to fit in pockets
Well this the problem it is a mobile phone so people should want a comfortable size not a brick if you want a large screen to watch utube movies social media just get a iPad
The thing is…it really actually isnt that small…it’s more that phones now are actually enormous! This phone would’ve been considered normal size 6+ years ago. I HATE the fact you have to use 2 hands to comfortably use a phone now! I was always dropping my iphone X because of this and it wasnt even that big compared to the newer models! So I upgraded to the 13 mini and well chuffed with it
I've got a Nokia CO1 Plus which cost me £59. Am toying with the idea of trying an Apple iphone for the first time. However as you say that notch is beyond weird and irritating. Everyone I know with an iphone is constantly going on about how little power they have at various times of the day, whilst I've never ever had a problem. It's strange there is no back button feature on iphones too. Anyway, for those with money to burn, I'm sure they think it's good.
I've been wanting to go back to Apple for some time now (had a 6) and this is almost the perfect phone. I'm holding off for now as I'm too invested in the USB-C ecosystem, but that could change with the iPhone 14 mini 👀
Good video!🔥✌🏻 I like the fact that it plays animated content on the screen of the devices, so you can see what the quality is like in different formats.
I upgraded to a 13 mini recently and love it! I was using an 8 plus for the longest time but ended up ruining it by leaving it in my pocket while swimming in the ocean lmao. I ended up just popping my SIM card in my old iphone 6s and used that for a few month until I got around to ordering a new one. At first I througfht the 6s sucked ass, the battery was crap and the gps in it was completely shot which got me lost on like the first day i started using it hahaha. But overtime I got used to the shit battery and just ended up using my phone a lot less through the course of the day (I didnt have some anti-tech apiphany I just used my laptop a lot more lmao), and the smaller size defefinetly grew on me (the smaller screen not so much though). So when I went to look into my options for a new iphone, I realized I could a phone that had the near-same dimensions as the 6s i grew to love, with a near-same screen size as the 8 plus I was missing. It was a no brainer!

But now I love it, standard iphone 13 looks to me like a joke - unnecesarilly big. Battery life- my previous phone had almost 2 days of battery life but in one day I really don't want to be more on the phone than the battery of iphone 13 mini allows.
subbing from 50k ish and now already passed 700k, congrats!!
Timmy Cook's gstring...
I didn't need this image in my head :')
Your reviews are unique and worth watching
Greetings from Egypt
Love you man! you're too frickin funny. I am literally changing my vocab to match yours!
Congratulations on reaching 700000 subscribers 🎉❤️❤️
I love the iPhone 13 Mini. I have purchased one and am waiting for it to arrive. Big jump from iPhone 6... thanks for the review Tech Spurt!
Congratulations for 700k subscribers 🎉
I wish more phones would be that size or even smaller....
I looked for months before switching from my P40 Pro, and size was definitely a consideration. I purchased one and it arrives tomorrow. Shame Apple removed the mini from the product line, I fully expect to love it.
Got one, like it, like the compact size, fits snuggly & securely in my cycling jersey pockets pushed down sideways.
Man You are fun, your analogies are the best, loved the one at 04:12 (stuff even more cash in Timmy Cook's G String). 🤣🤣
Shouldn't have been drinking beer while watching this video. Timmy Cook's G-string😂😂😂. Cleaning my keyboard now.
had this phone and went straight back to my pixel 5, still the best smallish form factor phone around
Battery life still not quite good enough I presume
@@hman6159 if you're referring to the iphone then yes. The battery is still not quite there yet on the mini
Fcking want a Pixel 5, because of the uniform bezel like Apple's iPhones and it is smaller than my 4a, while having a bigger screen and battery.
The 13 mini is ideal and the best size for any compact smart phone. The screen tricks you so it’s actually quite bigger than it seems.
“Expectations lower than an 80 year old’s ball bag” I’m dead 💀😭
Great review!!! I have a 4 year old OnePlus 5T and though its ageing quite well, I'm tempted to get the 13 mini, the only challenge is here at India, its damn expensive :-( so holding on with my 5T until I can afford. But this would be my next phone (hopefully in a year from now)
Same situation with my 5T. Don't miss anything except a good camera. Planing to buy one next year after a price drop.
Wait for the iPhone 14 launch in September 2022. I am doing the same.
same same same
Cant wait for September..13 mini prices will drop and we could even get Airpods free in Apple Diwali offers!
Love all your work DOST! 👍👍👍
I couldn't resonate more with the struggle to reach the top of the phone to go back on every single application. That was my hardest frustration when I've got the X, and to this date is a pain whenever I switch from my everyday android to the backup iPhone 🤯
Congrats🎊 on 700k!
I just bought it for my wife for Christmas, I hope she will like it too! Thanks for all the great info 😀
This is exactly what i am looking for! Thank you!
Hey everyone in the comments I need your help. So i have the iphone 8 right now, the screen is cracked, the battery is bad and its super slow. I have the money to get the iphone 13 mini which is my dream phone, but, should i get the SE 3 because it has almost everything I need (apart fom the better camera, screen and battery life) OR, should I meet in the middle and get the 12 mini??? please type your thoughts because I'm so stuck
Where do you get your wallpapers 🥺?
Do you people even realize you can use any image you want or download from the internet as a wallpaper? You don't need some specially wallpapers app or place. Tons of image sites.
That's what I have asking and I never got any answer until now. Seems TOP SECRET
Woooow, are you serious
I never knew that
Thanks for the information
@@SIPEROTH do you realise that sometimes just downloading any 'wallpaper' has some quality and aspect ratio issues, even in wallpaper sites? Hes just asking a question, no need to be snark about it
Just bought my first iPhone...
Sounds pretty lame considering the (over)price
hopefully they add some customization in ios 16 next year 😭
They are priced right if you buy thru a carrier. Otherwise you will pay full price which is high. However they are on par with Samsung phone pricing.
@@NathanAdmiraal they arent
Hurry up and get 1m subscribers, I could listen to you all day.
Well what do you know.. the battery does really holds until the evening. And I started the day at 77% battery! 4 hours browsing the web at work on the phone and still have 20% left, I have nothing to complaint.
The most honest review of 13 mini
Happy 700,000 Tech Spurt! Been here since 2019!
I love your wallpapers in every video ....... Just where do you get them from??
A colleague at work has one and id been tempted last year but battery anxiety moved me away… its so enticing as the size despite being small is like the Tardis and deceptively big
To be honest its battery is great! Watch some battery reviews.
Actually the battery is better than 11, XS, and SE by a lot.
i upgraded my phone from iPhone 11 Pro to iPhone 13 mini because it is compact. But I am thinking of going back to my old iPhone because i really missed the telephoto lens. Also the battery is weak in iPhone 13 mini. I am not even a power user. I don't play games but the battery is weak. Too bad because i really like the size of it.
Just ordered my iPhone mini 🤩 inspired me to make my own unboxing/review!!
I only paid £629 got it in red and I’m in love with it
The fact that all you nerds in here are just commenting about the actual phone and not how ducking hilarious this lad’s video is, is just a shame. Good on you sir, this had me howling
I prefer the larger screen on the promax because it feels more immersive when watching RUclips or going on social media. And it has the best battery life so far, only problem is that it is too large to fit in pockets
why not use the ipad mini instead, if bigger screen is the way to go?
@@akak8299 I do have a MacBook, but most of the time prefer using my iPhone for everything, 6.7 inch screen size is enough for me
It's called a 'mobile phone' for a reason
@@gowthamgunashekar7114 ok?
Well this the problem it is a mobile phone so people should want a comfortable size not a brick if you want a large screen to watch utube movies social media just get a iPad
I want a Samsung equivalent of this. I absolutely hate 6 + inch smartphones.
So I upgraded to the 13 mini and well chuffed with it
Do you have a review on 12 mini vs 13 mini? Which one would you recommend more?
Please where can I get your kind of wallpapers????
Okay this is good because for my birthday I’m getting iPhone 13 mine and I want white
Damn our lad is at 700k now... and still going 👏
Great review just bought one! love the funny comments 🤣
We need your wallpapers link
I've got a Nokia CO1 Plus which cost me £59. Am toying with the idea of trying an Apple iphone for the first time. However as you say that notch is beyond weird and irritating. Everyone I know with an iphone is constantly going on about how little power they have at various times of the day, whilst I've never ever had a problem. It's strange there is no back button feature on iphones too. Anyway, for those with money to burn, I'm sure they think it's good.
Timmy cooks g string 😂😂
I've been wanting to go back to Apple for some time now (had a 6) and this is almost the perfect phone. I'm holding off for now as I'm too invested in the USB-C ecosystem, but that could change with the iPhone 14 mini 👀
Unfortunately they discontinued the mini version for 14 series
Good video!🔥✌🏻 I like the fact that it plays animated content on the screen of the devices, so you can see what the quality is like in different formats.
I just got the iphone 13 mini and i love it!!!
Switched from 13 pro max to 13 mini.. dont regret it.
I'm trying to convince me to jump from S21 to this small sh*....I think I'm gonna make a bike mistake, but I need to try
Happy 700,000 subscriber's I am happy for you your on your way to one million subscriber's stay safe and healthy ❤
I have the the 8 plus too haha mine makes my hands cramp sometimes with too much use
What the hell is an "apiphany"?
Lack of a TouchID fingerprint sensor is a dealbreaker. Staying with my old phone till Apple listens.
I have an XR, but I miss TouchID SO much!! :(
Love you and your wallpapers
Sir, I have watched all of your videos. I really love the wallpapers you use. Can you provide some links for these beautiful wallpaper?
This was the funniest AND insightful review I've seen, haha. Thanks!
FINALLY A TECHSPURT REVIEW OF AN APPLE DEVICE WHICH IS NOT PURE BASHING. All it took was for Vodaphone to ship one for free it seems :P
Which wrist watch you wear in this video?
It looks classy
Hey quick question.....what's the name of the anime shown during the Screen and audio part?.....nice review btw!
Congrats on 700k!
My small hands loves this!!!
Man i like your wallpaper selection
