@robertsaunders5740 Dx lenses refers to sizing and are made specifically for the APSC bodies, such as Z30 and Z50. Generally Nikon taught buyers that their 'S' line lenses were top of the line, but last 1-2 years they've released some really good lenses that are not 'S'. Just mentioned DX in passing as I don't do DX/APSC anymore. thanks for the comment!
@timothykieper Yep. Used is a VERY competitive market though... I've had a couple good deals evaporate while I went to fetch the credit card to put in order. Thanks for the comment!
Really -- more and more got the feeling how little this all actually matters ! Such "first world problem" -- really just a no issue !
@andretim75 Not a 'problem' really for me since I don't mind buying & having things.
The best way to see if you like the gear is to rent. I always rent, use it, then I make my decision.
@ele4853 Thanks for the comment! Rentals can work, but also can be kinda pricey too-
Is the DX lens considered the top of the line? I only have the D70s DSLR. from a thrift store. Lenses from my FE auto body still fits.

I very patiently buy used. Very seldom get stuck with something that I can't use or get my investment back.
