I have traveled all over the world. I was raised and lived in New Smyrna from the age of 2. No matter where I was I always longed for home and will die here.
Wow! That’s an amazing compliment to NSB. Glad you found your perfect home!
Ay Another local! I was born and raised in NSB
What's happening!
Love JB’s Fish Camp! My brother has lived in NSB for over 40 years and lives off Samson Dr.
Such a fun place!!! Glad you get to enjoy it and have family nearby!
I love old Samsula
I used to live there. Some of the best times of my life.
I visited NSB last October and never left. Great video!
Can't blame you! It's hard to leave such a beautiful place like New Smyrna Beach. Thanks for watching!
You two are a cute couple and NSB is a low key gem. Thanks for the vid!
Thanks! ☺️ Glad you enjoyed the vid!
Been vacationing in New Smyrna Beach for over 50 years! Heading out this Friday for another year at my home away from home being Atlanta, GA! Love the place and would love to retire their one day!
That's awesome! Hope you enjoy your time here!
@@AndrewandMegan Just got home yesterday and it was great as always! Visited Breakers from some good food and cold frozen margaritas. Got the same dates reserved next year at Holiday Cove North and counting down the days!
I spent a weekend there in a Condo on the beach ,very cute town.
So glad you enjoyed it!
I LOVE THIS!! Following your adventures even more now this is so great!!! Keep inspiring me adding things to my list!
Thanks for the support as always Jessica! Excited to have you here!
love Mon Delice! Best croissants ever~
It is seriously THE BEST!!!! The croissants are to die for!
@@AndrewandMeganbet you both would like Cocoa Beach.
@@ziggysmom5646 we’ve been there too! Maybe our next video should take a journey there?!
@@AndrewandMegan well, I've lived in Florida for over 20 years. If I can be of any help, let me know.☺️
We love NSB also. We usually go down several times a year from Virginia.
Awesome! What's your favorite thing to do in NSB? We're getting ready to film a part 2 :)
Just took my honeymoon there last month, from Virginia. I’m hoping to live there soon. I loved it so much.
I’ve only been to NSB once a few years ago. But myself and my family loved it! Would love to go back.
You definitely should visit again! It's grown a lot in the last few years and is a great beach town to hang in, even if it's just for a weekend getaway.
worst beach when it comes to sharks
@@angelpaige2143 yea there’s definitely a few sharks in NSB, especially around the jetty.
We were talking to a life guard and he said there were only 10 bites in 2020 and there’s never been a fatality. He also added that he hadn’t ever heard of anyone losing any appendages, “just small nibbles, that make for a good story” he said.
@@AndrewandMegan oh wow when i did go with my family i never go to deep cant swim
I lived there several years. On the beach.
Great place to live!
Been our favorite vacation spot for over 25 years. Hope to retire there someday.
Jb’s has the best margaritas also!!!!
Definitely a nice place to retire! My dad retired in NSB and says it's his little slice of heaven and he wouldn't want to be anywhere else. He went from wearing suits to wearing Hawaiian shirts, board shorts and flip flops every day now.
cool video guys! I wanna try going surfing here! 🙌🏼🔥 I like how you can drive right up on the sand !
Come on over! There’s plenty of good places to surf along the drive beach 🏄🏼♂️🏄🏼♂️🏄🏼♂️
This is by far my favorite beach as well! I actually just posted a video of nothing but the beach, during my last trip there. It's like 22 minutes of pure beach goodness HAHA. There are some vlogs scattered in there too. Great video!
haha yay! A fellow NSB fan!
Hey at one point before May comes around. I was wondering if I might be able to chat with you guys. I'm going to your favorite location in May. And I would love to get a lot of tips and tricks and stops and fun and all that good
Absolutely! May is a great time to visit too. You'll miss the spring break and summer vacation crowds then. Our email is - info@indefinitetravel.com
I went too school there in 97 grew up in Samsula
NICE! I bet it’s changed a bit since 97!
Any cool restaurant recommendations in New Smyrna? When we were there, we went to the Beacon, and it was…. Meh……
Hey there! Saw you found our other NSB video where we give some food recommendations. NSB has some great local restaurants!
A couple others ones that we didn't mention in either video are; The Garlic, Breakers (for the view), and Flagler Tavern. They're pretty popular among most locals and visitors alike, and are on the main roads, so you won't have to drive off the beaten path. Enjoy!
@@AndrewandMegan Thanks so much!
@@AikenAdventures You're very welcome!
One small thing y’all forgot about new Smyrna beach, It’s the shark bite capital of the world
haha very true! That's so crazy!
They don’t eat much 😝I live here and I’m still in one piece.... for today 😉
@@NoseyFloridaGirl haha congrats! We hope the streak continues! 😆
Born and raised samsula, florida. Nsb is home...
Lucky you! Your home has been an amazing find in our travels. We just learned about the Spruce Creek airport/community too. Very cool!
@@AndrewandMegan yeah was cool, even when travolta lived there and got kicked out for doing low passes in his leer jet to dry it off after washing it lol. My wife and i are trying to figure out how to get moved back there from denver co. My grandmother has dementia and is not doing well at all. Her days im afraid will be short. I am a mechanic of over 23 years and will be looking for a place to work there so i can get back to my family there and help out with my grandma before its too late.thank you for your kind words, have a blessed day!
Awesome footage! What camera are you both using?
Thanks Hector! We're using the Cannon EOS M50 and an iPhone 11.
Thanks for visiting our small little beach town! If you ever want to own or rent give us a call! ❤️
Thank you for the warm welcome! We absolutely loved exploring your charming beach town and will keep your offer in mind for sure!
I'm 6th generation. Never leaving. What's not to love? NSB LIFER
WOW! That’s amazing! Andrew’s grandmother moved there back in the 80’s and has now introduced the whole family to the awesomeness of NSB. We’re so grateful for that and love it here too!
I moved to Florida as a young man (around 18) and haven't left. I am 33 now.
Same here. Never need to go on a vacation.
OMGGGG we just entered into a contract in NSB and it’s great to hear all the great things to do! Just a tad bit worried about the sharks... but not letting that stop me!
It’s our favorite for sure, enjoy! 6 years visiting or living here and no bites for us 😆 If you’re staying in the busy areas of the beach you won’t see many, if any!
Small sharks, lol, just stitches. I've got thousands of hours in the water and only been bit once.
Hahahah
Don't be soft
Nice - subscribed
Awesome, thanks!
Megan, "I fell in love with you in Florida."
Nice save, Megan. Nice save.
hahaha I was impressed with that as well - Andrew
worst beach when it comes to sharks
You guys go on Flagler avenue and don't even get sushi? Look for it next time you go to NSB
Good to know! What’s your favorite sushi place?
NSB was a hidden gem 15-20 years ago when all the trash went to Daytona instead.
Andrew’s grandmother moved to NSB in the mid 90s and he said it was a VERY different town then too. However, it’s still one of our favorite beach towns and we really feel like it has one of the friendliest communities.
Shark bite capital of the world
Not a hiden gem anymore, it use to be a gem but tourists have taken over and its not hidden aanymore
Yea, it’s definitely changed from a “quiet beach town” to a “popular beach destination” for many in the last few years.
It’s such a shame. NSB has been over promoted into something totally different than it used to be. I miss the hidden gem that it was.
If your planning to surf here do not, me, my dad, and my mom love surfing and we go to places around the world, It’s one of the most shark infested waters and a lot of shark attacks a year come from this beach, we were lucky not to run into one
Yea, it's pretty wild over there! Many surfers told us it's very common to see sharks swimming under them, especially down by the jetty/ponce inlet.
Do you like Smyrna Beach more than Fort Lauderdale?
That’s super hard to answer, bc they’re VERY different. Ft Lauderdale is the Venice of FL with lots of canals to navigate around the city. It’s also a lot busier and a bigger city. New Smyrna is a little quieter… it’s getting busier. But a smaller town feel.
Looks ok. Kinda boring and family friendly. Any beaches that you recommend for fun? I live in Central FL
It's not for everyone, definitely super chill. Cocoa Beach is about an hour east of Orlando. It has more bars and a boardwalk. Also Daytona Beach is 30 minutes north of New Smyrna Beach and it can get pretty wild haha.
@@AndrewandMegan thanks! 👍
@@alloverdaplace2043 Anytime, enjoy!
@@AndrewandMegan ok so I take it back lol. I went to Smyrna Beach. And it was very busy prob because it's a Sunday and this place is sweet! Thank you for the recommendation!
@@alloverdaplace2043 haha so glad to hear!
Your are laying on the beach and then an suv passes you just several feet away. What's the attraction to that? Just my .02. Vehicles on the beach just spoils it for me - that's just me.
The good news is that there's a "no drive beach" in New Smyrna as well, so you get the best of both worlds. I think the drive-on beach is simply a unique experience, as well as a convenience for many who are bringing chairs, tents, toys, etc onto the beach.
It is not that special with all the automobile traffic on the beach.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! We understand that driving on the beach can be a unique experience, and it's not for everyone, especially when it's busy. We're glad to hear different perspectives about New Smyrna Beach and hope that the beach still offers enjoyable moments for everyone.
