I don’t think they are ripping off Led Zeppelin. The lead singer of Greta Van Fleet has an amazing voice. I’m a big Zeppelin fan in junior high & I have all their LP’s. I’m 68 & it makes me happy to hear younger group’s singing classic rock. 👏🏼👏🏼

Last Saturday I went to a Metallica concert where Greta was an invited guest along with Cage the Elephant. I didn't heard of Greta before that concert, they were absolutely amazing.
People complaining that there is no good music today, but when a good one comes and sounds like one of the best bands in their time, people complain. Just enjoy the damn music

GVF has definitely changed their sound and their latest album, The Battle at Gardens Gate, shows that. They are going to go far in their careers and I believe that we should have more bands that are bringing back rock as a genre. Yes, they did sound a lot like led zep, but they are not rip-offs. Even Led Zeppelin wasn’t completely original. So instead of bashing GVF, why don’t we all just appreciate the fact that rock is slowly being revived?

MrTechselect I don't think one has to be better. One was certainly first and an influence of course. I'm just overjoyed someone is even making music like this again. There are times I am reminded of Kansas and Heart throughout their CD too.
Difference is there's a strong hard line between similar and your own. Even led zeppelin had strong influence from the blues and jazz, even covered the same songs, but yet sounded different infused with upcoming metal that they helped start
yeah led uses a lot more complicated time signatures and generally more difficult music, greta is good but they have a lot to learn and a long way to come from a self taught garage band
I love Led zeppelin and I love how Greta Van Fleet is bringing back that 60s/70s rock sound. They aren't letting the classics die! I'm a huge Greta fan, I don't care that people think they're a rip off. They just don't enjoy the classic sound.
What matters, ripoff or not, its that its good rock, fresh rock that is new, instead of the pop crap that plagues the radios, these guys are good, hats off to them.

Yeah the embody zeppelin big time, but they are paying homage to zeppelin while adding their own flair. Weve had access to the same zeppelin records for half a century, and plant isnt sounding decent these days so if these guys wanna carry the torch, fine by me. Van Halen got compared to Cactus and Hendrix constantly in early review articles but they broke molds. Give these boys some time and respect the tremendous talent they have

I know when I first heard their ep I had to go back and forth between Zeppelin and Gretta to see if they were covering them. Then seeing them live at the louder than life music festival I was in total shock and awe!
Idk about the logistics or if it's already been done but now that GVF has Starcatcher and The Battle At Gardens Gate I really wanna see them all come back and listen again.
Say what You like , this group ROCK ! . Even the Almighty Led Zeppelin took inspiration from their predecessors . Greta Van Fleet were certainly been influenced by Led Zeppelin and clearly many other Epic Legends , there is no fault in that . They have the talent to go far & I look forward to listening to them repeatedly ( I always have and probably always will with pretty much all the established rock legends) Greta Van Fleet should be able to join that elite stable pretty soon if not immediately after all they've done the rounds and are clearly good enough .
Well nobody will ever be as good as led Zeppelin but if 70-80s style rock became popular again and new artists began to produce that type of music I would LOVE THAT!!
These kids are AMAZING. That voice is just a godsend. Were they heavily influenced by the greatest rock band ever? Of course. There is a very MAJOR reason you haven’t seen this before… because out of all the people born from 1940 through 2000…. Only 2 can sing like this. 🤷🏻♂️

I've found Greta van Fleet by accident. It's the second biggest accident in my life. First was me. Both are amazing
The best way to tell Greta from Led Zep isn’t comparing the singers, you gotta listen to the drums. Ain’t no one can touch Bonham

I love Led zeppelin and I love how Greta Van Fleet is bringing back that 60s/70s rock sound. They aren't letting the classics die! I'm a huge Greta fan, I don't care that people think they're a rip off. They just don't enjoy the classic sound.

Erasmo Martinez Anything but cheap, a lot of arguements can be made that these kids are better muscians than zeppelin. Some of it has to do with clearer production. Yeah the embody zeppelin big time, but they are paying homage to zeppelin while adding their own flair. Weve had access to the same zeppelin records for half a century, and plant isnt sounding decent these days so if these guys wanna carry the torch, fine by me. Van Halen got compared to Cactus and Hendrix constantly in early review articles but they broke molds. Give these boys some time and respect the tremendous talent they have

I know when I first heard their ep I had to go back and forth between Zeppelin and Gretta to see if they were covering them. Then seeing them live at the louder than life music festival I was in total shock and awe!

Say what You like , this group ROCK ! . Even the Almighty Led Zeppelin took inspiration from their predecessors . Greta Van Fleet were certainly been influenced by Led Zeppelin and clearly many other Epic Legends , there is no fault in that . They have the talent to go far & I look forward to listening to them repeatedly ( I always have and probably always will with pretty much all the established rock legends) Greta Van Fleet should be able to join that elite stable pretty soon if not immediately after all they've done the rounds and are clearly good enough .

Well nobody will ever be as good as led Zeppelin but if 70-80s style rock became popular again and new artists began to produce that type of music I would LOVE THAT!!
I think GVF is actually better than Zeppelin. And their newest album is very different from that classic sound in a lot of ways

Mas não há como ficar maravilhado e surpreso com esta nova banda. É uma grata satisfação de ver alguém tocando com estilo do Led Zeppelin, isso é sensacional. Eles irão trazer aquela nostalgia, aquele agrado de ouvir boas músicas novamente (estamos desesperadamente precisando disso!!), e até mesmo porque não, apresentar a esta nova geração que nunca ouviu Led, a ouvir e gostar!!
