Some of them I understand x3 but why the dislike for somewhere in time and seventh son? Both masterpieces xD at least in my opinion lol. Great video

Agree with almost everything except for SIT and SSOSS. Those are two incredibly good records.
Wasted Years is the best of their greatest hits type songs

Not a huge fan of SSOSS but SIT is a really good album. A Matter of Life and Death isn't that bad either, imo. Brighter Than a Thousand Suns has a really heavy riff, These Colours Don't Run and Different World has those Nico McBrain-signature galloping drums and The Longest Day is probably my favorite of that album.
Don't get the hate for Somewhere in Time and Seventh Son...
I'd love to see one of these for Judas Priest and Death though.
I haven't really listened to those. So they are probably a lot better than I originally thought.

And a matter of life and death. It’s low key a masterpiece. Probably my fav album to put on and listen start to finish.

@FlyfromtheJar ALOT, people call it the worst along with No Prayer. I don’t see why, I guess they just don’t like garage grunge sound in their metal albums. I personally enjoy the grittiness of it

@@Oqualquer im sorry but No. I Love every Maiden Album, but senjutsu ist more innovative and creative. A Song Like wotw ist brilliant Hommage to 70s Rock Like Journey, while they also have epic masterpieces Like hell in earth in It and very unique stuff Like darkest hour. Book ist mostly over the top and cold produced and many Songs only really work live for example Red and the black. Best Songs of the Album are the Opener and the closer which are basically Bruce solo Songs and I would have preferred Them with Roy Z Produktion. Both Albums are very nice but for me senjutsu ist the best Album since Brave New world closely followed by. Amolad

@@Oqualquer No, Senjutsu is a lot better. Only a few songs really hold up Book of Souls for me, namely The Red and the Black, and Empire.
@@kaspersaldell Damn, I heard senjustu (because I hadn't heard it fully) and damn, how wrong I was, senjustu is much better.
I won't say that its the best. But I absolutley love Senjutsu, I think it is one of their best. It shows Maidens evolution through time. The intricate and epic Maiden melodies are still here. And Bruce sound fantastic.
I personally loved Senjutsu. It’s all the “purists” who dislike it claiming it’s not the same Iron Maiden.
The issue however is if a band plays the same thing over and over they’re “boring and repetitive” and if they do something different then “it’s not Iron Maiden anymore, they ended on this and that album”
I just let them do their job and enjoy their art
@@ragz_redeye I mean I liked it but it's a bit formulaic. Senjutsu and Book of Souls are great albums, it shows Iron Maiden being Iron Maiden but it feels a bit like they just played it safe. I prefer The Final Frontier or AMOLAD by far. Even more so with Brave New World and Dance of Death
Their first album is their best and nobody can change my mind.

In my book there’s 3 tied for 1st place, and a couple more tied for second. Somewhere in Time, Piece of Mine, and Powerslave are tied for 1st

Glad the comment section is chewing you out for SIT and Seventh Son, the latter especially. Imo, it was their pinnacle.
Experimental and progressive, sure, but it still retained that true Maiden sound, and had arguably Harris' best songwriting, because of the aforementioned progressiveness. Lyrically it was fantastic as well, owing in part to it being a concept album (and one that hugely hit the mark).
A simply astonishing album.

Blaze albums are veeeeeeeeeeery underrated. Signt of the cross is one of the best long epic song from thm.

Unpopular opinion: Mother of Mercy is the only good song on Final Frontier
I think FF is underrated, not their A material or anything but it's a solid album let down by some tinny sounding guitars. There are some great songs but The Talisman is my choice!
