Making a Thor-Inspired Woodworking Mallet // Scrap Wood Project

- In this video, I show how I made a Thor-Inspired woodworking mallet for my great friend, Mr. Mountain Man. This woodworking mallet was made with scrap 3/4 inch red oak that I had bought from the local home center for a previous project. I thought it would be cool to model the mallet after Mjölnir, Thor's hammer. Then I took my wood burning kit to it and burned Mr. Mountain Man's logo on the side.

Hello Brent and everyone the White Lab Workshop community! Thanks again Brent for this awesome mallet! It was really interesting on how it came together from start to finish. Nice job and thank you! 😀👍
You are welcome, Mr. Mountain Man! I’m happy it went to a good home!
Odin would approve of this hammer of the gods 💪💪☝️
Haha! I sure hope so! Wouldn’t want to anger the gods!
That's just flat out cool, Brent...I really like that one!
Thanks, Stan! I sure thought it was cool. I might have to make one for myself in that style sometime.
Awesome looking mallet 👍 I'm sure he'll enjoy it for many years to come 👍
Thanks, John! I think it ended up being way cooler looking than the mallet I made for myself. And heavier too. So I can see making another for my own use.
Hello my friend.
The wooden mallet design was nice. You did a good job. congratulations. Thank you for sharing. Greetings...
Thank you, sir! It’s always fun to make something for a friend.
@@WhiteLabWorkshop 😊🍻❤️
Nice work and looks great. Always good to get kids involved...
Thanks Harki! I absolutely agree!
The details in this are AMAZING. Love the logos and the extra cuts on the head to add some sophistication. Great project and video!
Thanks! I had a lot of fun adding those details!
Brent, you did a great job on the mallet you made for Mr Mountain Man. This video was very interesting, that was a lot of work you put into it making the mallet. I have been watching MMM for some time and I have seen him show off the mallet several times.I will be sure to see more of your videos.I enjoy seeing people make things. My neighbor is a blacksmith and he has made several things for me and I treasure them. You have a great talent.
Thank you for taking the time to check it out, Rita! Mr. Mountain Man is a good friend of mine and it was fun to make the mallet for him and surprise him with it. I appreciate hearing the kind words!
wow. there is a very high level of detail in this mallet. really good job!!!
Thank you, Alberto! I really enjoyed figuring out how to make those extra details work.
Love this mallet. It looks very chunky and sturdy
It definitely is. Thanks for checking it out!
White Lab Workshop no worries. Keep up the great work.
Very nice! The mallet turned out super cool! I really like the way you make your videos, super easy to follow.
Thanks man! I try to make them informative without being too monotonous.
Great build video and an awesome looking mallet! I love the way you explain your builds and show a very complete process. At first I thought you had laser etched the logos but seeing you do it all by hand was really satisfying to watch! Keep up the good work 👍
Thanks man, I really appreciate the feedback! I sometimes wonder if I add too much detail, but I do try to cover the important stuff.
Turned out great Brent!
Thank you, sir!
This is so clever! Love the design.
Thank you! I had a lot of fun making this one.
Very nice work Brent!!
Thanks, Hendrick!
Thabk you for sharing. It is easy to follow with your explain. Of course i need dictionary.👍👍
Thank you! I’m happy to hear that! I can’t help you with the dictionary, though 😁
Love it! Looks great Brent.
Thank you, Kirstie!
Great job!
Thank you!
You earned the thumbs up. We enjoyed this video very much but I am very disappointed in you! I cant believe you would blame your children! You and I both know that we are the ones peeling off dried glue because it is a ton of fun! That being said, your Chief Cinematographer deserves a pay raise, not so sure about the greatest hands, though. LOL! The mallet looks awesome!
Haha! Thanks, Richard and Jennifer! I’ll have a meeting with the Chief Cinematographer today and share the good news that she is eligible for a raise pending her agreement to stop dropping stuff.
The Weekend DIYer sent me your way when I asked where I can find some good content and inspiration for my channel as I build it. Looking forward to following along.
Thanks to Jeff for sending you over! I’m happy to have you following along!
Really neat project and easy to follow! 👍
Thanks man!
Hi there!
has become really great.👍
Greetings from my Austrian channel
Thank you!
Great looking mallet Brent. I think it's time for a new blade that burns less! lol
Haha! Thanks Grant! The blade is still going strong, it just needed a good cleaning. This project was what made me realize it. I had been doing a lot of cuts with pine before that and there was plenty of build-up. Why am I not surprised that you’re the one who noticed? 😆
@@WhiteLabWorkshop soft wood will do that! I only noticed because it drives me crazy when the blade burns!!
Haha! I was just messing with you. 😆 I call it attention to detail and it’s a good thing to have! The cool thing about this project is that it marks the first of several projects in a row I have queued up that utilize hardwood. So seeing how badly my blade needed cleaning while doing this one, I knew I couldn’t put it off any longer. Rest assured, my next couple of videos shouldn’t give you an eye twitch!
Awesome job here buddy!🤙🏻
Thanks!
Very nice video 👍
Thank you very much!
Very cool, nice job!
Thanks man!
