Probably my favorite game from that 2014 run. I know the Spurs went on to get their revenge against Miami and obliterated them but OKC was their biggest threat in the West and people weren't sure they could beat them after getting swept by them in the regular season. Diaw, Manu, Kawhi, and Green were all fantastic this game and Duncan hitting that last shot was redemption for his missed layup against Miami in Game 7 the year before. And then Duncan topping it off with "We'll beat Miami this time." in his postgame interview. Such a classic game.

this was probably one of the saddest moments ever as a thunder die-hard fan other than losing the NBA FInals to miami...i literally almost started to cry cuz i know how much OKC wanted it that year...Now that the spurs got reloaded, im afraid that the thunder will fail again either in the 2nd or 3rd round of the playoffs. The warriors are stacked, Clippers looking even scarier, and the Rockets got Lawson. The western conference is just too good and i feel like the thunder will get at least the 4 or 5 seed at best. But i still watch every game from start to finish, win or lose, im always a thunder fan.

The scary part for the rest of the league is that the Spurs have always had experienced battle tested vets like Manu and Duncan at a top 15 player still in his prime in Parker but now their role players and bench are young and only getting better and better....look at Danny Green,Leonard,Mills for crying out loud Splitter went from a liability in the playoffs 2-3 seasons ago to a Finals MVP and excellent role players on both sides of the court.....and then if that wasnt enough you add the savy of Diaw and Marco......that team if healthy is virtually impossible to beat.

What he also has one more but the first one was just BS. He won his title in a lockout season in 99 where he played the injured 8th seeded Knicks. With Robinson on the team who equally deserved it. Hadn't won one recently. Name one big FA that wants to go to SA right now. Gasol and Aldrigde don't want to go there. Of course Parker and Ginobli would want to be there. West was stacked with Spurs, OKC, clippers, warriors, rockets, Grizzlies, mavs, blazers. If Lebron was in West he would have only made like 2 finals.

unlike all the teams that the Spurs played in the 2014 playoffs, the 90s Bulls could actually play defense.
these Spurs played just like the 98 Pacers with more offense and less defense. They'd get beat just like the 98 Pacers

    • @SaSpursFan

I'm not a spurs fan but
Durant loves texas and wants a championship, he's going to the spurs next year
Aldridge & Durant taking over for the greats with Pop guiding the way.
