Thank you very much for these videos. The hardest part is taking the rod apart for the steering. A little fyi for everone.. after spending 30 min trying to get my big hands in there my 14 year old daughter showed me an easier way to access it from the front. Remove the front cover for the holding compartment and you will have direct access.
yeah accessing it from inside on my machine was nearly impossible as well, guessed I'd have better access by removing that same piece you did. If I'd read your comment I could have saved some head scratching ;-)
my 2016 was completely different at the steering connection - instead of a single bolt, there was a through bolt with a washer and nut for the other side, and I couldn't get at them from that panel access area - more plastic bits. I removed the coloured plastic piece above the storage bin (1 bolt) and got access from there instead. Wiring harness was tricky to remove, could have explained a bit more there (found on another forum the trick). The far bolt for the oil filter cover was very hard to access with the wiring routed extremely near on another piece of plastic. Overall felt like Seadoo made it way harder than it should be. Can't be great for the dealers to work on either! putting the top back on could also have a short video - this was pretty tricky as a one man job as well. Anyway, thanks for the videos!
Very helpful video. I don't even own one of these but I am looking at all of what it takes to work on them before even considering one. I am in a tossup of getting a waverunner VX 3up or the Spark 3up as the waverunner should provide better comfort on choppy water.
I thought the new sparks you didnt have to run antifreeze through, i heard just have to blow out with air. Curious as to whats right i just picked up a 2022 trixx
Does anyone know how to remove the maintenance required when you first start your seadoo it says welcome to seadoo the.n maintenance required but nothing is on when it’s running
horrible and "greedy" design by seadoo,, they basically want everyone to take there spark to the dealer for any work, this will take me at least 2 hours to take the lid off, just for a ten min spark plug job, also the compartment opening where the battery and oil changes can be done without taking the cover off should be at least twice as big, no reason to have such a small passthrough . took me about 30 min to attach the strap on top of the battery to keep it in place. ,... also when you do a oil change you should mention to people to let the engine run for 30 seconds at least prior to pumping the old oil out to be able to pump out all the bad oil . if you dont you will only be able to remove about a quart or so. you might as well do a compression check on each cylinder while you are there in the plug change just to see what they are.
Best straight forward video I have seen on the Spark top deck removal. Short but complete !
Short and sweet. No extra JibberJabber. Thanks my dude!!
Thank you for your help I follow step-by-step and change my spark plugs by myself you rock dude!!! All the way from Phoenix Arizona 😊.
Awesome!🔥

When removing the top deck does the seal get damage ?? I keep hearing this from people .
Not at all, my top deck has been off dozens of times.
Yo that's a piece of cake. Couple screws and the whole tops off.
