The score in this scene is so good.
The last stand, fight or die, for Zion, truly a masterpiece of action.
Back when the industry used to make good movies....
@@eucomenteialguemchorou yes and no. Yes the movie market has worsened, but you can still find good movies, you just need to know where to look. Like the Fnaf movie is great in that dumb, goofy way and was built from the ground up for the fans.
There were a lot of things the second and third movies got wrong.
But this was totally epic. The effects the soundtrack, the acting.
You feel every bit of the hopelessness, the determination, the very will of all of them.
They aren't just fighting for themselves, they feel that every bit of humanity's future is on the line.
0:47 FOR ZION!!! I WAS AT THE MOVIE THEATER WHEN IT CAME OUT IN 2003. THAT PLACE WAS FULL AND WE ALL WENT NUTS!!! 😱😱😱😱😱👏👏👏
This movie is around 20 years ago still look better than average movies nowaday
the market for film crashed so badly the directors started bean-counting their expenses and using cheaper material.
shows you how much the film industry really cares about its own health.
After 21 years, this scene still gives me goosebumps.
3:12 Camera angle, position, sound, movement, everything is perfect.
Dude this scene is so great
Purely it is!
How come this 2003 cgi looks way better than 2024, insane
Because they had to work harder to make it believable. It truly shows.
This battle was lost before it even began. The machines have 250,000 Sentinels for this attack. Let's say the defenders of Zion destroyed about 10,000 during the battle... even if they had destroyed 50,000 there are still 200,000 Sentinels left while Zion has no reserves to speak of at the end of the first battle. I don't see any way the humans could win this.
They all just wanted to die in glory
They were never going to stop the machines, they were going to defend themselves yes... but eventually they were going to lose, being the end of the human race, remember that humanity has managed to survive all this time, thanks to the previous chosen ones as well as neo They sacrificed themselves to give humanity more time.
EMP is really their only hope.
Allow the main cavern to fill with as many sentinels as possible. Ensure all your hardware is powered off and hidden. Detonate the EMP. Power on the mechs. Continue combat.
(Mechs and any other hardware must be powered off to protect them from the EMP blast)
Depending on how many sentinels you get in the surprise strike, you might just win. However, it's extremely high-risk, and if your follow-up battle can't swing the fight, you won't be able to use the surprise tactic again, as the machines would have learned.
@@bubusbus1 "Mechs and any other hardware must be powered off to protect them from the EMP blast"
An EMP is a very strong electromagnetic field. This causes charge carriers to shift in electronic components. This ultimately means overvoltage in various places. It doesn't matter whether the electronics are switched on or not and the other problem is that the machines attack in waves and not all at once to avoid exactly such traps
Well the railway Guy said..last times Zion lasted 3 days..now in less than 24hours.
I can't believe this was release on 2003
they dont make em like they used to.
Not to mention BOTH Reloaded and Revolutions came out in 2003.
the amount of friendly fire during this battle must have been horrenodous 😂
Well, what do you expect from this kind of situation?
20 years later
This scene gets me pumped
My older sister gasped seeing how many more sentinels were coming! 😮
This scene sum's up the whole Matrix trilogy. War between humans and robots 🤖
しかしロボット達にとって人間は"資源"に過ぎず、これはロボットが地球を制圧してから何度も行われて来た"資源の管理作業"でしかありません。
そう、主人公の覚醒までも含めて!
easily the best parts of the movie
I always wondered why they didn't use flak rounds against sentinels.
Can't, need armor piercing rounds to get through the sentinals face shield. Flak cannons are generally weaker and you need height for them to work as well
I believe we all can withness this situation in next 20 years
I REALLY love this one scene because it perfectly captures the RE4 remake of fear through desperation.
In that game you play as Leon sent out with the bombastic task of saving the presidents daughter and in the very start of the game you come across a town absolutely filled with infected villagers. You walk around a bit avoiding the villagers by stealthing around but inevitably you will be spotted.
You fight waves upon waves of the villagers but the growing hordes never stop coming, as your resources like health and ammo dwindle you try looking for an exit only to see that there isn’t one. The villagers themselves are also rather sickly and gross looking, living in squalor, the word peasants being a more apt description of the villager people. You think to yourself “how can things get any worse” and the game hears this by releasing a guy with a fucking CHAINSAW, the chainsaw man can one shot you and he is tanky as hell, adding yet again another layer of stress to an already stressful situation, creating fear through desperation.
This too happens in the matrix we see the “drill bot” bust through the roof, confirming that the machines have indeed found them, the humans load up and prepare to fight the incoming horde and they do. These “sentinel” machines up to now have only been seen to be in groups of up to five to eight, but now swarms in the thousands maybe even millions. The “sentinel” machines also look really good and really scary. They look like the grotesque love child of a spider, a crab, and an octopus, wrapped in a metal exoskeleton. The chaotic group of red eyes, the sudden way they pick up people, it all invokes a sense of unease with the creature and now they are SWARMING Zion. The fight continues and the “drill robot” is in fact alive and is now drilling into the city, the humans try to shoot at it with a duo of rocket squads but it doesn’t matter, they’re are too many “sentinels” in the way, the humans land a hit on its leg but it doesn’t matter, they are still just as many “sentinels” as before and now the rocket team is out of rockets or needs to reposition. We pop back to the tower and little by little the robots have been pushing through more and more, more of Zions defenses are being destroyed and ammo is running low. As the ammo squads try’s to roll out, a “sentinel” blocks the path and Towers over the small humans, sure it dies and the ammo squad go go goes but to think your gonna have to deal with that is horrifying. These humans aren’t super soldiers, they more resemble the infected villagers from earlier rather than even us, normal humans, because that’s what they are. We pop back again and we see the troops/defences are beginning to spread thin, and just when we think “things can get any worse” they do. The damn of bullets breaks and a cloud of metal wafts outward, circling the central tower uncaring about the losses it’s taken and destroys the central tower with just as easily.
What an absolutely incredible display of fear through desperation. Fuck this is a long comment.
Look at the small detail they've added when they show the tunnel where the centinels are coming from in the beginning it is grey and just before the opening it is still warm red from the digging robot . Man I miss the real Matrix.
This scene just blows my mind. The mechs are fucking amazing !!!
Purely it is!
My mom saw this movie in the IMAX and said this scene was so visually overwhelming that by the time it was over, she felt shell-shocked.
But on a smaller screen, this battle is certainly a little easier to follow, even if there's no clear sense of spacial geography.
I love this part!! Especially the music!!!
エイリアン2のパワーローダーとかこのロボとかめっちゃ好き
Let's forget the last episode, this work was perfect even without it.
THE REVOLUTIONS It wasn't a big hit in Japan, but the scene where robots fight a horde is still my favorite.
Alto kagasawa
*This scene is awesome!*
It's one of my favorite action scenes of all time.
My top 3 also includes the first explosion in Swordfish and Wonder Woman in WWI during no man's land battle.
I remember everything about the first movie but don’t remember a thing about this one
Ammo Ammo Ammo
The best Matrix Movie out the three

Lol, just kidding
the cyberstan experience on helldive.
Matrix es un clasico sin duda alguna
Matrix is actually the girl of the eyes when it comes to revolutionary personality type
😮 when you thought they stood a chance then... the swarm came in 🥴
think about matrix... zion was not the first time, that humas builded a place like zion. the machines knowed about it from the beginning. but this was the first time, they accepted the coexistence thanks to neo.
For its time this was amazing ^.^ 2003 WOW 21yrs ago :o
Love this scene. But it irks me knowing the AI could have just planted the drill with explosives to detonate first before sending in its soldiers.
But they needed to re use it to get further into the city, hence the legs.
You know, this is less messy than the Second Renaissance War.
Imagine the amount of ammo they have to use or produce
All they need is a lot of CIWS!
Imagine the sheer scale of bodies that the machine that some get through that wall of bullets
it's still like a 2040 movie
Most favorite part of this movie for Orks.
needless to say they didnt have enough stationary guns, to compensate for that all the mechs surrounded the area but even that wasnt enough to stop the machines from breaching through the firing line.
They need to upgrade more for this tower defense level
average helldiver experience
weve got it easy compared to them
They could have shot and destroy the excavator at the beginning when it was unprotected, before the arrival of the centinels
Is there enough metal remaining in the world to create all those sentinels and bullets?
4:17 I'm pretty sure that's not how tunnels work
but I can see how it helps the plot 😂
And this Kids is how your rimworld colony dies.
Солдаты таскают на себе тяжелейшие бронежилеты по 5 классу. А тут сидишь в кресле и не надел броню и шлем. Хотя бы противоосколочный костюм.
Word
Seriously making mechs then leave pilots totally exposed lol
The original design had the pilots protected and covered to a great degree. This was changed for cinematic reasons. I think the main reason was because it made the characters easier to recognize.

Hell no😂
So does someone want to explain to me, why the robots were able to push so many through that small ass hole with so much fire still hitting it? Then how those same robots were held back by ONE man in a mech suit when the giant tower of guns couldn't stop them?
I love this scene and Miffune has one hell of a last stand, but it makes me wonder how the robots were constructed. Or maybe the robots had some that could shield others that weren't present during Miffune's final stand?
Well, the shells are not explosive or anything, so if a few lucky bots get shielded by their buddies and starts running around the dock like that, somebody has to track them down (and that isn't exactly easy) which means that much firepower is gone from hitting the hole.
As for the captain... badass plot armor, i guess :)
It always bugged me that they wasted half their rockets by firing 2 at once.
Love this scene, but I was always bothered by the design of the gun mechs. With the pilot exposed like that, you could literally take one out with a rock.
Design of various war machines - often is a weak spot in numerous sci-fi movies and games 😢
Sad but true.
If war machines become effective, and heroes become more rational, there will be less drama and less time of the movie
If you watch "Animetrix" you'll know that being exposed in Mech is way much better than have the armour, btw this mech wasn't design by human, Zion have 5 cycled already each cycle the machine kill all human and then make new human to start from zero with obsolete human tech designed by the machine itself to start next cycle.
Come on, obviously you need to keep the heavies focused on the focal point but where are the lighter counter units to catch the ones that get by?! This strategy is doomed. And Where are the mines? Decoys, feints, come ON
Someone give me my pill, I need to fix this.
I think the machines just deployed maximum overkill.
No strategy was ever going to help them, they just did everything they could with what they had.
Strategy or not, the battle was lost before it began. The Machines have assembled 250,000 Sentinels for this attack. No tactic could have won against it.
@@Lightsoul1987 nukes
@@shane1648 AH! There are no nukes, they were all used by the machine to destroy humanity.
Bro WTF are you saying? Mines, decoys.... It's a swarm of 250.000 centinels with the only purpose to kill all humanity and the only place they have to defend is the city remember that the world is already controlled by the machines.... so you can plan all the strategies you want you are just going to lose because there is no way for you to survive that
This scene is way cool intense in lots of ways.. but those stupid mechs with the exposed pilot ruin the immersion, how can they not? A guy with a bow and arrow could take one out
FOR ZION!!! *buga buga buga bugaaa...*
Do you think there were more sentinels than ammunition available?
弾幕!
우렁차게 말했다. 발사해!!!
Just one EMP bomb, those robots would be deactivated.
they use it when the whole platoon and the entire floor got descimated. EMP was used as the last resort because once used, the entire area will when black, all self defense system and their armorsuit will go down with the robot
なんかテンガみたいのがおちてきたな
Que quiero salir en una pelicula
Human identity to,resist to always resist even if it means we die we will resist
they should buy zalalancet drone
I need muth game mecha APU on Zion
Hmm, they needed more dakka
소개팅녀 같이 봤던 영화 ㅎㅎ
Почему Газманов на картинке?
кто ни будь сомневается что это не про палестину?
Imagine watching the ceiling finally get breached and the drill falling down. You're gawking like a brainless chicken at the GAPING HOLE in the roof waiting for the Sentinels to appear. Seconds away, logic kicks in and you finally give the order to POINT YOUR GUNS AT THE HOLE. Just in time to catch the first wave. And there is nothing but machine gun fire as a primary means of defense. What about rocket launchers, mines, explosives of any kind to... collapse the tunnel the digger created? What about automatic targeting systems considering you're facing thousandths of small, fast moving targets? Those Sentinels had free reign as soon as they breached the cave. They were easy targets in the tunnels. And whos great idea was it to place central command in a tower in the epicenter of the main battle?
タコの数多すぎでしょ
Cern deneyinin yapildigi yerin gogunden iniyorlar, inenlerde yecuc meccuc.
Knuckle up mother trucker(community guidelines) Great scene, great actor.
I'm curious about the firearms used. Specifically, how many rounds do you think were fired, what caliber were they, and how much would a round of ammunition typically cost? internet do your thing.
Its irrelevant, because its nonsense. The size of those ammo cassetes, you looking at 50 rounds max
I think theirs actually bullets bigger then the 50 and I'm pretty sure it's a pistol or hand cannon called the wrist breaker shouldn't need to explain why it's named the wrist breaker
Газманов на постере?!😂
Overall the movie was crap, BUT this scene was nail biting and entertaining no doubt.
I wonder why the machines had to make holes to get inside the base, wouldn't be better if they just bash trought the front door with all their units? Like a wave going against a sand castle.
The city of Zion was underground
@@alejomaster4035 yeah, there is also a door there for the human ships. I’m talking about that door
They mention that the machines are doing this to bypass Zion's perimeter defenses. Those defenses were the human 'Plan A'. We only see a glimpse of them in Reloaded (the scene where Nebuchadnezzar enters the city) but it looks like there's quite a level of firepower there. The humans probably expected a machine attack to come from that direction and turned it into a rather horrible kill-zone. Given that the machines have destroyed Zion several times in the past (not that the humans know that) this is presumably the strategy they've found most effective.
Army or not, you are doomed.
Почему ставка сделана на патроны, а не на электричество? Железо расстреливать пулями сложнее, чем замкнуть электричеством.
EMP will shut down all their system too
4:09. I’ve always loved this part and feel kind of sad to see big machine gun gets eaten by those alien squid. 😢
0:53. 😱😱😱
Nothing much to say but I’ve always imagine these robotic two guns were the Ukrainian forces and the alien squids are the Russian soldiers. Especially what it will be like?
발사해
The scene "Ukraine vs Russia".
CGI contaminant 🧐
Sanyikun vs ZsoltVrg
Zion APUs Make UN APUs look like a bunch of idiots, don’t they know that no matter how powerful your guns or well armored your suits are it won’t mean nothing when your outnumbered ten to one
That times the Korean believe that there is terran unit Goliath kk
still been thinking whats the porpose of mech if human arent pushing out and the mech has 0 melee combat move
They lose war when human is on peak of their military
Machine is superior in this case
The only pushing forward they do is through Matrix
As I get older, I realize how dumb this scene is.
They are fighting a swarm of flying, close combat specialized robots.
So they line up in the open, in a tight formation, without multiple formations or lanes of fire. Their machines have no pilot protection or close combat capabilities. Their ammo supply is ferried out on foot by unarmed civilians in wheelbarrows. No ammo caches or fallback positions, no bunkers or pillbox. No heavy weapons. No aerial protection, no choke points. No utilization of the far superior electrical weapons they possess.
Nope, just a bunch of guys shootin' gunz sideways with poor accuracy and minimal effect.
Honestly, this is the best defense they could muster?😂
They're already in the fallback position - the machines bypassed the main defense line with that drill. That's where the heavy weapons, choke points, etc are. The docks we see here aren't designed as a defensive position. They also tried to use EMPs on ships, but Smith scuppered that plan. It's worth remembering that the machines have done this before - they know what happened previously and the humans don't. It's likely previous versions of Zion did quite a lot better defending but the machines have learnt. They already know how to best counter Zion's defenses.
The stupidest defense system in any movie.
Obviously you didn't see Game of Thrones, defense of Winterfeld against the white walker's army of the dead.
"KNUCKLE UUUUUUUPPPPP!!"
