I’m an accountant and use pivot tables a lot for my analysis such as sales by market and products compared with budgets I usually connect to our data warehouse directly from excel Unfortunately the iPad’s excel functionality is a bit limited but I still love using my ipad as a companion device
Love my iPad Pro but the online or iPad versions of excel just don’t work for me . Just don’t get why they are so different from the windows version. I was recently self isolating until I got results of a covid test (thank god for only 24hrs since was negative ). Used my iPad Pro to access my work PC via the excellent Jump app (using iPhone as a hotspot)and was able to use the full excel 365 functionality. Got to finally road test my lepow portable screen (via your recommendation !!)and was pleasantly surprised jump had full screen compatibility . So it’s a convoluted way to get full excel on your iPad. But when I will work out of office I would need the connection to works pc anyway. Keep up the good work!

This workaround is what I was planning to use, but what actually deters me from using iPad Pro for my Excel work as a “master” excel user is the Windows key shortcuts which I need and can’t use here!
When i use keynote or pages and i want to save it as pdf i can do it without problems, But when I uploaded in a mail to be send it looks like .pdf but when the receiver of the mail can not open the pdf documents, it shows a mistake and try to open an online document. Please help I don’t know what to do, All my assessments i have to send them 3 or four times.
Very very close to being a clickbait. It’s like a lawyer signed on the video title and wording on this video. There is NO SUPPORT for Pivot tables on Excel App for iPad. Also why the pro? All iPad OS devices can do that, because they have the desktop class safari.

I wonder if you could have two websites (excel sheets) open this way. I work in finance and just moved to cybersecurity. I have used excel for a lot of data analytic functions. Just think of a table with 10-20+ variables across the top and 1000s of records. You can organize all the records by the variables any way just drag and drop. Also, you can add helper columns to the structure you create and use simple to advanced functions to your organization of the records.... pivot tables are very cool. I just purchased and returned a Tab s7+, because the one note and MS office apps were garbage. I am considering going with an ipad, even though I am a windows Android guy.
ive heard of people having some issues with huge excel files with databases of 30,000-40,000 Rows and it being very slow. So please go to an apple store and test out this function and see how it works.
ohh this is good to know! laptop died today and dont feel like buying a new one since i barely used it other than for excel. plus i really just prefer my ipad pro. think i will go ahead and get that magic keyboard and give it a shot! i use pivot tables for work but thats all on a desktop, this is totally for fun in my personal life lol. i will make a pivot table out of anything! 😁

Can you use 2 safari's but without using split screen? Like when youre on computer/laptop and youre using 2 windows of Google Chrome, you could just simple press Alt + Tab when you want to use the first Window and another Alt + Tab for other Window. Thats just how I work on a computer What I am asking, If dont want to use Computer, is there any work around for Ipad Pro? Can I just press Alt Tab to switch another window or Google Chrome/Safari? I use the pivot tables, for the most part, to sort out details that are linked to documentary forms. I use slicers to control multiple pivot tables. I use some kind of control number to lump said data for the slicers, then it automatically generates multiple forms using the same data per control number. Good to know the Excel on iPad features this.

But when I click “Open in Excel Online” It just switches to the OneDrive App?? What am I doing wrong?? It does not work on my iPad Pro 2021. Whenever I try to open web version, it always takes me to app version on ios. Any option to change this ??
