    My mother tongue is not English. But your English is very clear and very easy to be listened.
    Your videos about butterfly stroke are all worthy to be referred !

    You are a born coach! Truly brilliant, concise presentation and demo here really. I've always liked the term 'snappy-kicks' too, when trying to communicate using cue words. Keep it up!

    Oh my gosh this was super helpful! I’ve been swimming for three years and butterfly is definitely the hardest stroke for me. This season I swam the 100 fly the first meet… it didn’t go well. I did pretty good the first 25 but I went out too fast so I died with awful form at the last 50. My coach helped me and I improved a lot I even made finals for champions.
    However my fly is not the prettiest. I can’t wait to try out these drills! Do you have any to help prevent kicking from the knees? I struggle kicking from the hips.

    • @SwimLifeGuru
      @SwimLifeGuru  6 лет назад +1

      Thank you so much!! Let me know if your times improve!👏🏻❤️ For the kicking, I would work on the underwater kick in the beginning of the video. Have your coach watch you closely to make sure you’re kicking from your hips!

    Hi, great video, thanks so informative. I'm a little confused by the last tip, i.e. don't breath every stroke, aim for every two strokes, or at most every other. To me, every two strokes and ever other stroke sounds exactly the same. What exactly is every two, and every other? I picture breathing at most every other time the head comes up to the surface. Head comes up, breath, next time, no breath, next time, breath.

    • @SwimLifeGuru
      @SwimLifeGuru  6 лет назад +1

      Thank you!! Every two means you do two strokes without breathing, and breathe on the third stroke. Every other is one stroke without breathing, and you breathe on the second stroke!❤️❤️ I can see how it’s confusing though!!!

    With both arms for butterfly kicking, you can use both legs for standard kicking like in use of freestyle.

    I also swim and I want to improve my butterfly to swim a 33 sec on 50m. Actually I swim 37 sec. How do you avoid that your arms stay to long in front before the next stroke starts. I have a really low Frequency. Do you have a tip?

    • @SwimLifeGuru
      @SwimLifeGuru  6 лет назад +1

      I’d say to just keep working on it! The main thing that’s hard for people when they get back into swimming is getting through the exhaustion to start building up stamina and stroke strength. Make sure you work with your coach to reinforce good technique as you get back into it. I hope this helps!👍🏻

    Good tips. You're moving so fast, that I had to check my playback speed, which sadly, is set at "normal"
    I will stay with my plodding pace because I'll run out of gas within 10 yards if I try to maintain your pace. I'm 64 and was built for motion, but not of the fast variety.

    Buen video, una recomendación sería, que intentes patinar sobre la superficie, 1) no entres tan profundo, después de la recuperación. 2) no levantes los hombros, déjalos deslizarse sobre el agua, y utiliza solo tú cuello para respirar. Un saludo desde México.

    Cant we use a pull buoy instead of the kickboard. That way it will be easier to keep it steady

    • @SwimLifeGuru
      @SwimLifeGuru  6 лет назад

      The point of using a kickboard is so that it’s not steady. A pull buoy stays in too easily, therefore you can move your hips around without it popping out. A kickboard, however, is a lot more difficult to hold on to, which forces you to keep fast and low hips.
