My mother tongue is not English. But your English is very clear and very easy to be listened. Your videos about butterfly stroke are all worthy to be referred !
You are a born coach! Truly brilliant, concise presentation and demo here really. I've always liked the term 'snappy-kicks' too, when trying to communicate using cue words. Keep it up!
Oh my gosh this was super helpful! I’ve been swimming for three years and butterfly is definitely the hardest stroke for me. This season I swam the 100 fly the first meet… it didn’t go well. I did pretty good the first 25 but I went out too fast so I died with awful form at the last 50. My coach helped me and I improved a lot I even made finals for champions. However my fly is not the prettiest. I can’t wait to try out these drills! Do you have any to help prevent kicking from the knees? I struggle kicking from the hips.
Thank you so much!! Let me know if your times improve!👏🏻❤️ For the kicking, I would work on the underwater kick in the beginning of the video. Have your coach watch you closely to make sure you’re kicking from your hips!
Hi, great video, thanks so informative. I'm a little confused by the last tip, i.e. don't breath every stroke, aim for every two strokes, or at most every other. To me, every two strokes and ever other stroke sounds exactly the same. What exactly is every two, and every other? I picture breathing at most every other time the head comes up to the surface. Head comes up, breath, next time, no breath, next time, breath.
Thank you!! Every two means you do two strokes without breathing, and breathe on the third stroke. Every other is one stroke without breathing, and you breathe on the second stroke!❤️❤️ I can see how it’s confusing though!!!
At yesterday’s practice I was just thinking about how you move your arms and legs quicker for fly sprints cuz I’m a long distance swimmer thanks sooo much. What swimsuit brand is your favourite. I’m addicted to funkitas
I also swim and I want to improve my butterfly to swim a 33 sec on 50m. Actually I swim 37 sec. How do you avoid that your arms stay to long in front before the next stroke starts. I have a really low Frequency. Do you have a tip?
SwimLife Guru may I ask how to make your strokes more efficient especially after an injury and not swimming for some time your swimming has deproved. for me I am a flyer but now my fly has been below standard. please help. thank you
I’d say to just keep working on it! The main thing that’s hard for people when they get back into swimming is getting through the exhaustion to start building up stamina and stroke strength. Make sure you work with your coach to reinforce good technique as you get back into it. I hope this helps!👍🏻
Good tips. You're moving so fast, that I had to check my playback speed, which sadly, is set at "normal" I will stay with my plodding pace because I'll run out of gas within 10 yards if I try to maintain your pace. I'm 64 and was built for motion, but not of the fast variety.
The point of using a kickboard is so that it’s not steady. A pull buoy stays in too easily, therefore you can move your hips around without it popping out. A kickboard, however, is a lot more difficult to hold on to, which forces you to keep fast and low hips.
Your video is impressive. Also my question to you is! With the Olympics in Tokyo in two years. Can you do a how to video on making Olympic medals Plus an interview with the best us swimmers and do a race and practice.
C's Polish yes I am I am dead serious. If she wants to be an Olympian swimmer if she wants to win gold medals set Olympic records graduate from high school be the best high school swimmer move on to college's like Stanford California and USC
not everyone can be an Olympic Swimmer I don’t think you realize how hard it is she may be a fast swimmer, but the top 2 in the event in the United States make the team
Billy Bob lol no well I would say Against All Odds I feel like she can be the best swimmer she can be an Olympian. But it takes a lot of determination but I think she can do it.
thank you for very nice video, i am happy you talk a bit on ur sicret to swim and not only outfit. i am 45 and i swim together or next to the young proffesionals , i think i have a chance to beat them, i can now eat my way into them , hunt them down one by one, and belive me nothing wld feel is better than gliding past them, haha.
That’s probably because you’re not using your abs enough, and relying only on your back which can be really damaging. Make sure you do a lot of ab-focused dry land workouts to help!!❤️

Because Free! Season 3 is here, thanks for uploading this video
Thanks! a big thumbs up. I'll try breathing every other stroke, but can't quite see myself breathing every third stroke! Wow!
Simple yet very effective video. Thanks and best compliments.

i think you just helped me maintain balance and an increased speed....thanks.. really appreciate it
Happy to hear!!!🎉🎉

Thanks!! I LOVE Funkitas too!!!👍🏻👍🏻
With both arms for butterfly kicking, you can use both legs for standard kicking like in use of freestyle.
Simple but effective. Liked
The underwater dolphin kick looks like a fun move to me. Would you say it's a fun move?
Thanks! My focus for the next 8 or 9 months is to get as fast as possible in the 50 fly!
Good luck!!
Thanks! I just need to take 0.3 off my SCM and LCM times.
Haha! So true about the magician snorkel choke & die remarks 😂😂 I'm no magician either 😂😂😂
You are my Guru, thank you for sharing this.
Super helpful video 👍 you are talented😊
question, do you hold your breath as long as long as you can while doing 2-3 strokes and change breath at last moment just after breaking the water.
I also swim and I want to improve my butterfly to swim a 33 sec on 50m. Actually I swim 37 sec. How do you avoid that your arms stay to long in front before the next stroke starts. I have a really low Frequency. Do you have a tip?
Great video! Thank you!
Nice! do you have another video that teaches the basics? or something that focuses on the arms? Vid's great!
Thanks! I do have an entire butterfly playlist here: ruclips.net/p/PL8PU3uMV3omZeewuHegrHdE3t-tWH_TVu

I am always coming out of the water way to much I'll try these drills 😀

Sooooo early to my fav yt channel I'm sooo happy that u uploaded today

Typically how long do you do low fly? Until you run out of breath, or like a fixed distance?
Low fly is regular fly. It should be used for any distance!🤗❤️
🤩 thank you
Thanks
Thanks
I hope that your video will help
I'll try it & tell you
Thanks again
Yes! Let me know if it helps!❤️

Thank you!!🤗
It was a good study for butterfly and dolphin kick. Thank you.
Awesome video
嗨!漂亮女孩,分解動作很詳細、精準,而且練習方法也很棒;非常謝謝妳。
Podrías hacer un video en español , para vos ? 😘
Cant we use a pull buoy instead of the kickboard. That way it will be easier to keep it steady

I needed this!
Yay!!!!
How long can you swim underwater?
Thanks!!!
와... 멎지네요. 유연하면서 폼도 너무 좋네요. 힘도 넘치고... 부럽부럽

I knew this was coming because of Instagram😂😂 please do a swimfluence unboxing
I love these videos but are never able to practice the drills on my own.
Aww why not?
Because when ever we do drills at practice it's always one specific drill and I never go swimming on my own :(
Aww you should tell your coach about some of these drills then!! Maybe he’d like them!❤️❤️
💜
Please do a video today I love you so much and I love this video🦄

Iam not kicking well, it pains my lower back 😭😭😭😭
