The Vulcan's first public display of 2009 at RAF Cosford Airshow.
Greeted by a capacity crowd eager to witness the mighty aircraft's display, XH558 did not let us down. A superb performance from Martin Withers and crew brought loud applause from the estimated 58,000 spectators.
Not many genuine wishes come true, but as a 10 year old boy i remember being devastated after the final flight in 93, incidentally a day after my birthday, and that was my wish when i blew out the candles. Despite all the naysayers and people who didn't believe, who'd of thought it would ever come true. That 10 year old boy is now 35 and gets no less excited or teary eyed when i watch these videos back.
Awesome video! I saw one of these planes perform at an airshow at Andrews AFB just out side of Washington D.C. in the early eighties. To this day I still remember it as the LOUDEST aircraft I have ever heard.
Back at Cosford for 2013! Can't wait to see this in person.
Iconic aircraft, simply awsome, i just hope they keep it flying, it holds such fondness for everyone who has seen it fly
such a beautiful aircraft. it was the first time i ever saw it in the sky instead of tucked away in a museum and i will never forget that howl it gave off as it turned into the sky. We probably wont get to see its agility in motion like the old days due to the risks but just seeing it up there is a real treat. thanks for this video.
I was at this air show, the vulcan was great to see. Wonderfull plane.
The display is definately more adventurous this year - I love the engine howl during the final pass. Absolutely wonderful to see this amazing aircraft displaying again this year; there were times earlier this year when I honestly thought it wouldn't happen. Brilliantly filmed. Looking forward to seeing the DVD ;)
Unglaublich und Wundervoll dieser Oldtimer der Lüfte.
Unquestionably the coolest English aircraft design of all time.
I was at Cosford last year, and seen this fantastic aircraft, the differance here is when your at the show, the sound of the engines kinda go's through you!
Awesome display. Well worth waiting for the HD to load!
i agree, regardless of the cost this beast is beautiful, and a marvel of British engineering. so let them have the glory! i sure would enjoy the sight of one of these in the sky again.
tha vulcan was the highlight of that show but between that and the typhoon i was nearly deaf i was in the hangar when it flew over and i thought the hangar was coming down but OMG that thing was beautiful in the air and really nice video =)
Great video. Detail of the bomb bay doors open very good. Lovely sound from those Rolls Royce Olympus engines!
I'd recommend reading 'vulcan 607' about the 'black buck' mission of the Falklands conflict, the only time the Vulcan was used offensively.
Stunning
congratulation for the British, this bomber is truly the most beautiful in the world, when I look at his wings, I see the origin lines of "Concorde" (and i'm french)
also its performance is incredible !
Who cares about the cost. It's beautiful, and worth every penny.
excellent video of a fantastic plane, a pleasure to watch.
thats a giant! really amazing aircraft!
Just awsome
Fabulous.
That's the way to do aircraft restoration!
(Superb video as well)
OBEs all round chaps!
awesome video.
i'm at 2:44
truly amazing aircraft...lets keep her in the air everybody
AWESOME, so cool that 558 is in the air again, jeez, Britain is a mixed bag, we have (had?) the ability to build amazing stuff like the Vulcan but the hoops that they've had to jump through have been ridiculous. So sad that the Lightnings, Buccs and, ahem, Victor at Brunty probably won't be allowed to fly again...
@EVOVIIIARGT1300JR ... Jaguar, Aston Martin and Rolls Royce between them make some of the best cars in the world.
The Vulcan should become part of the BoB flight , or similar
vulan roar at 2:23 !
в ТАКИЕ плоскости даже из рогатки попасть не трудно будет
iznt it too heavy to roll quick??????
wings like that on a bomber? NOPE!
