I think this explains my tendency to pull this type of wedge shot, my grip is more neutral so I've likely been trying to manipulate it too much to get the lower flight which sometimes happens, sometimes not (when it does go towards the target). Will be standing in that spot at the weekend giving it a go! Thanks.

Always great stuff…appreciate the presentation on shaft lean. Many thanks

Where I get a little off is that last part of “punching” the right arm. I tend to lose it right with a push block. I’ll work on this and thanks for the help…

What about really close to the green with low shot?

Just found your content James it's great. Have you got a similarly simple setup for shots around the green?

Would you advocate the same wedge and changing speeds or clock positions and/or changing clubs to cover 30-80y range?

There is, it's just through one channel. Had a mic issue on some earlier videos. On headphones it will come out of one side only

0:26 "forward lean at impact 12-18°"
Vokey wedges range between 4-14° bounce depending on loft.
You're advocating around 0° or less active bounce at impact. Other videos, e.g. ""Short Game Secrets: Case Study - Scrambling" imply much less.
    I'm confused!

This is a longer range wedge shot Keith, bounce is a non factor at this point.

a swing similar to the hinge and hold of Phil , not certainly of the one of Jason Day

One suggestion - angle of club at address, regardless of which lesson / procedure / club you're showing.

Interesting that you should say that as this is for longer wedge shots vs Phil advocating it for shots around the green.

@@JamesRidyardGolf I didnt mean it an a bad way. but it is extremely similar in fundamentals which can only be a good thing. he's not a bad shortgame player after all

Single camera issues. More importantly though why not give it a try and see how YOUR results are rather than mine?

Want more lean? Open up your chest more through impact. 🤷‍♂️
