ahh. Good old Van der Hagen products. I still have my boar in a box somewhere as it never stopped shedding... the soap and razor still works well though. NIce video!

Thanks brother! That was the problem I had with my first Burma shave boar brush, just kept shedding until a chunk of the knot fell out of the middle lol. My replacement is doing much better though.

The Shaving Tulsan Your welcome! 🍻 One thing i honestly need to work on is building a lather correctly. So many element's of water effect the soap tho. I have VERY hard water where i live. I've heard guy's use distilled water to shave with but i'm hesitant to use and put distilled water on my face. Distilled water is more for car battery's and plant's like Bamboo and Venus Fly Trap's. Distilled water is not for human consumption...

Not for head shaves, but occasionally for face shaves

Great tips, especially showing newbies not to shave with frothy bubbles because to them that's "lather". I never mapped my beard growth because I thought all guys hair grows down since that's how everyone shaved. But my neck hair grows up, so for years I have been shaving against the grain. It's no wonder why I was left with weepers and irritation. I've seen other tutorials and a few times they put the base plate upside down on a 3 piece razor which is no bueno LOL

Haha I’ve seen those videos as well 😂 makes me cringe just a little bit lol. I definitely think mapping the beard can be helpful for exactly the reason you mentioned, just nothing that I’ve ever done. I just feel the direction my hair appears to go and change my angle of attack.
