I'm a retired Army officer, and I should would have appreciated one of these. I used my canteen cup as a shave bowl and made do in the field.
That would be perfect to bring when you go on holiday.

I love the WW1 razor kit I got it for Christmas this year it’s so fantastic! As a history buff and a razor enthusiast it’s the best razor I could have and I plan on purchasing the WW2 razor soon!

Not true. Like he said they are in and out of stock, depending on supply... I was just looking earlier (before I saw this vid) and they are in stock now. So check again and grab it up. I can not understand why you didn't use the Khaki Fabric behind/around those mirrors, And what a pity you did not do this!
This is the only con - and a very important one - about those (your) sets.
There are several khaki sets from Gillette for WW1. The soft pack version looks exactly like our replica. The hard case version includes a mirror with khaki on back side. That isn't what we were trying to make.

Is the Khaki Case and Mirror available separately? I already have 5 Gillette Techs :D
Yes. But, it might be worth buying a complete WW2 set for the sake of the tech handle, as the original brass ball end handles are prone to failure. Razor Emporium makes replica ball end brass handles which are threaded rather than press fit together.
Yeah most, of not all of them have a crack or split on the handle.

As FNLN pointed out, get the full kit. The Case w/Mirror are $25, while for only $15 more the Falkland War set is only $40.

I love the idea, and I hope to get one in the next month or so. It's just awesome to link our hobby to history like this. I would also like to see something similar with other figures, like King X or President Y prefered this razor (if possible).

Nice kits - ever consider adding a loop and tube for a travel brush and shave stick as well (like the officer kits)?
Yes we did consider the brush / soap tubes but they are quite expensive to make in small quantity and the minimums needed for a decent price was 5,000 units. Maybe some day....
Very cool kits...I just checked and you weren't kidding they are priced very low!
I have one of those but in the original leather pouch. It doesn't come with a mirror or a place to hold the blade pack, but is super compact and can fit my DOPP kit very easily. It came with an English travel case that I got on eBay last year. Very mild shave, and thanks to the thin head profile, it can easily reach under the nose. It needs a sharp blade, though.
These khaki shave kits look just great! Very handy. 👍🏼
Got the Open Combed version at the Big Shave S'West and love it. This case is so much better that the previous offering and the mirror is an awesome addition. Also got the shirt at S'West one went to the son, so another would be nice.

I have 2 Authentic US Service sets
1 is not in very good condition , the other is in excellent condition for being 104 years old.
1 says Khaki set , the other says US SERVICE , they were both appraised

I purchased the old khaki from razor emporium. But this new one. Way better craftsmanship. Love the mirror concept. Side by side this one is definitely a winner. Will you all be making some with a property of the U.S. or a U.S. stamp on them? I managed to fit my feather bank in mine. As for now. I don't know if it will come back out. But it will work it's way loose in time. I'm just completely blown away by the craftsmanship compared to the first generation that y'all produced.

I have the WWI kit in my travel bag. The quality is exceptional and the replica ball end handle is top notch. I actually believe this may shave better than my R41, while being easier on the face. Keep it up Matt and I look forward to seeing the tune up of the 1959 E1 Fatboy I just sent over!
To me they are more useful than the original ww1 sets.
Will this fit an alpha ecliptic slant razor from PAA?
EDIT: Got mine in on Friday and it can fit the razor and blades without the mirror.

Hello..... I love the idea of these kits. One question though. Are these re-plated razors? These kits would be awesome for the traveler or camper. The kits look durable enough to survive airport security. Lol.
