Had a well used family heirloom revamped and I could not be happier. I would highly recommend this service, especially if you have a family heirloom that has special meaning.
I have used your revamp service a few times now and the process was seamless. Easy to follow directions with great communication from your company along the journey. End result’s were magnificent! I highly recommend your company to anyone looking for a tune up or replating that old grungy razor they don’t know what to do with.
I have purchased from you 5 made to order gillette razors and i am waiting to send to me another two!Your job is fantastic! The razors are like new one!Matt thank you very much for those high quality products! If anyone wants gillette safety razors the only way is razoremporium!Greetings from the beautiful Greece!!
I'll put in a plug for the tune-up service as well. I had a Slim that the finish had lot a bit of its shine but was otherwise good - but had some mechanical issues. I chose the tune-up over the revamp to preserve the original finish; when it came back, the razor looked almost new and the mechanics were working like new. Well worth the money!
I would say #7 could be just replating certain parts of a razor, like just the doors, I know your drop down menu has that feature but some people may not realize it, great video Matt!
Hey Matt, just got my Red Tip back from a revamp in original nickel and it's breathtaking! If anyone out thee isn't sure if the revamp is worth it, I will say that it was some of the best money I've ever spent! Very, very happy with the service, the regular updates as my razor moved from process to process...great experience.
As far as #6 goes, I normally use "Pirate Ship" to ship items using USPS, UPS, or any other available service. Granted, I have my own weight scale and ruler to measure dimensions of the box that I'm shipping, but Pirate Ship is quite convenient for me if I don't want to stop into a local post office to ship any items. I just put in who I want the item sent to and the address, measure and weigh my package, and choose the shipping method and cost. The service then allows me to print a label to attach to the box and I just throw the parcel into a local mailbox and I'm golden.
Reason #7: Then you too, once the revamp is done, can sit in your easy chair and gaze contentedly upon the razor(s) while cooing, "my precious......"....

Revamping. What a great idea. I would love to get my hands on an old razor from the past and have it revamped, as you call it. Time to take some trips to the antique stores in my area.
I've been using a razor for almost 10 years that I bought new (R89 grande). How long should I go before sending in for service? The razor has no signs piting or rust.
Can the razor be simply clear coated after stripping for a clean brass look? If so, would the clear coat be as durable as the factory finish? I’ve got a Fatboy I’m thinking of sending in…
Hi Matt , great work as always... Question: can you straighten bent (corner) combs? asking for my 1908? thin cap daily razor. ( BTW. still waiting for the reunion, "lather be shaving" xmas special)
As of now I only have one razor that I may need revamped in the future, it's a 1947 Gillette Tech. It is still almost new I have used it twice with the original blades and it seems to have only been used once or twice before since one blade was missing and slight soap scum on bottom of head but packaging was complete otherwise... A lot of tugging and pulling but it was a great shave in the end no nicks or cuts. One of my favorite razors. Btw I recently purchased a Gillette Psycho Razor & a Rex Envoy Razor & the Rex 1955 Old World Tallow Shaving Soap and all are great. The Envoy & the 1955 soap are well worth the price considering that they are both a modern classic style item made in the USA with high-quality. The Envoy is a mild shave and sturdy I guarantee it can be passed down to your grandchildren. The Psycho as well is of great quality.
#7 How long will the new finish last if cared for properly? I had the "Razor Re-vamp"(in my best echoing chant.....razor re-VaMp!!) done on my father's fatboy last April. I use the polishing cloth you sent about once every two months. I do put the razor in the dishwasher every 3 months.
Had a well used family heirloom revamped and I could not be happier. I would highly recommend this service, especially if you have a family heirloom that has special meaning.
Your razor revamp service is very, very good. You have done two razors for me, and they turned out better than I could have imagined. Thanks again!
Just got my revamped razor back here in Australia and absolutely loved the service!
Thanks again guys, you did an amazing job.
These guys put a great scale on my straight razor. They did a wonderful job. I would definitely definitely use their services.
I have had 4 Revamp and purchased 3 razors, always top service. Great job 👏
Great video Matt! 👊🏼🤠
Had numerous razors revamped. RE always does great work and the results are amazing. Highly recommend the revamp service to all!

Awesome Video, Great Info.👍
Can we do the same with straight razors? I feel a 24kgold straight would look beautiful on display

Whatever happened to the rose gold plating? which definitely had my attention that plating is awesome.
Finicky and prone to endless redos chasing the right hue
Excellent, who'd of thought, revamp service....😉 Well done Matt👍👍 I know where my razors are going if needed. Thanks!

@@RazorEmporium Thank you very much! I appreciate your generosity and will do as instructed.
LOL, I was not prepared for the "Razor Revamp" dab at the end 😂😂
Nice. I need to send my gillette fatboy in

I did one from my wife’s grandfather from 1958 and it came out amazing.
@@boodles07 that's awesome! That will make for a nice keepsake.
If I send one in for revamping will it be worth more or no? Looking at a collective way.
For collection sake find a better condition one to start with.

Cheaper to buy another if ever needed.

Yes but a clear coat will wear off soon enough
Super service guys, please keep up the good work!
Our pleasure!
#7. How long does it take?
2-4 weeks depends on a lot of variables.
On average, what is the price for a revamp?
$69-$250 lol depends on razor and finish.
The Godfather of razors for sure.
Hi Matt , great work as always... Question: can you straighten bent (corner) combs? asking for my 1908? thin cap daily razor. ( BTW. still waiting for the reunion, "lather be shaving" xmas special)
Most times the tooth breaks off so we don't attempt.

Comes down to wear and tear.
I’m surprised that you are still offering a rhodium finish. I’m seeing a lot of other replating services removing that option.
That's cause its super expensive and easy to mess up.

I have my grandfather's slim adjustable I want to have serviced. Can't wait for you to work your magic on it.🪒💈
