John Dodson is a well spoken historian of "the good old days" when passion preempted the pocketbook, if you know what I mean. Rick, thanks for your efforts to document these stories of the important people that lived on the pit road side of stockcar racing.
Someone remind us, was John working for Barry in 1989 when Rusty turned Darrell in the All-Star race? Still the funniest quote of all time came after the fight (paraphrased) "He tried to bite my brother's ear off, and I think that's very unprofessional."
I absolutely love these videos I love hearing these old stories but why is the audio so crazy one second it's crazy loud the next second it's so quiet you can't hear what anybody says in the next minute you put on that music that's so freaking loud I have to turn the volume up and down like every 5 seconds in order to keep from blowing my eardrums out or not being able to hear a word you say
I met John 10 years ago. Great guy! He is full of great stories.
