Happy New Petty Blue Year. And let us not forget 3 time Winston Cup Champion, and a real cool racer,Cale Yarborough, who left us to go to The Big Racetrack in the sky.We will miss you Cale, but thanks for making NASCAR an exciting place to be,and also thanks for setting Jaws straight, then telling him to talk to Jr. because Cale was going to be leaving Jr. to race part time, and Jr. liked Darrell, and the rest is history.Didn;'t Red Farmer invent the wheel so he could race? The very first race ever ,was when the 2nd car ever built was finished.
Kyle ran the Magnum in the Arca race and won. Then later in 79 ran the Magnum at Talladega in the Summer race as his 1st Cup race. It was on CBS and Lee was guest TV analyst. You can Google and find. DW Won the event, The King was top 5 I believe on a championship run for #7.....
Enjoyed this conversation very much. So how do these teams and owners determine when a new Cup driver is ready? Does NASCAR have a minimum age for beginning drivers? Is there some sort of new driver orientation to get them up to speed so to say? Thanks for another interesting episode of The Petty Brothers.

That's a great pic of Kyle's Magnum in the shop. I hope y'all keep this channel going. It's a great perspective not available anywhere else.
Enjoyed!! 👍🏁👍

That's exactly right, I remember that well. I always loved and still do love to hear Lee talk.

These days, it's all about the 💵💵💵. When a new young driver gets to where he or she can bring enough of that in, then they're considered ready.
God Bless, Men
Richie looks just like Maurice in the 60’s and mark looks like him in the later 70’s.
