The amazing thing about moving and re-organizing your craft room. When you’re done you feel so much better because there’s so many times when you’re reaching for stuff and you think you know I just need to organize that. Or I should group like things together. And now I have. Well let’s say 80% is done. Love you dear
You're just breezing along on these and they are wonderful. I can feel myself getting into the Christmas mood just feasting my eyes on these. I was too young to have known or remember any of my grandparents as they passed either before I was born or when I was small. I love how involved you both are in the lives and events of your grandchildren. That is so special and I am sure they will all treasure those times when they're grown. 🥰
I ❤️ ❤️ your using your stash of decorative pieces, postcards, etc rather than ‘new’ stuff. It’s so much more fun to watch & creative as well. I hope you do more of this post Xmas journals 🥰
Hi Gayle!! Your journal that you finished today is just so pretty, cheerful and festive!! Your 2nd journal is coming very nicely!! Always very handy to have pre-made ephemera on hand!! TFS!! Hugs, Liz:)
I know that feeling when your friends say your name in a video. It makes me happy every time I hear my friends mention me (Chelle, Ceri, and Mariah are my main ones). I hope you have a delightful day. Love&hugs
I am so glad that you used the hair tie to make a fastener for your journal. I am in the process of cleaning my craft room and I found my hair ties yesterday and asked myself, "What was I going to do with those?" And threw them in the donation box. Now, I have to go and retrieve my fasteners. Thanks for the reminder.
Hey Gail , beautiful work as usual. If I want inspiration I always turn to you. Serious journal making until I saw you bring out your Medicare handbook from last year with your collages in it. I about fell out of my chair laughing. Great use for a book that might as well be put to good use !!!
All the ephemera pre made and still needs decorating is so beautiful I love it all. I wouldn’t be able to pick which ones to use. I love Kathy Holden papers and ephemera it’s something unique and so elegant in its own way for the holidays. Another relaxing video ❤
Morning Gayle loving your Christmas journals I have also made 2 one will be my December daily this year . You inspired me and also have the Cathy Holden Xmas stuff this year . Have a great day xxx
Good morning, Gayle. Hoping the weather in your area stays dry. You are smart to have the weather proviso when traveling. Not worth the risk. TYFS this fun video. Get rid of the vestiges of your cold. Love ya! 💕💕💕
Good morning Gayle. Looking great !! I don't have those red words, but I purchased several Christmas word and phrases, definitions earlier this week from: AdamoPrints, KayAndMay, DigitalAtticStudio, CalicoCollage- all from Etsy. Hope that helps the community. Oh Gi Kerr Happiness in Crafting has a few versions also. Oh, I also use some from The Junk Journal Studio, she has red ones too.
So proud of you for using your stash. It is an awesome journal. Thanks for all the inspiration. Save journey to see the granddaughter's game. Blessings from Missouri.
The red and green words are from epapere Christmas sentiments Collection. They are in a set of words, frames and graphics! The set also has several other colors and these beautiful church graphics with some others. The frames all have sentiments in them and look very victorian.
Gayle, I learn so much from you every day...thank you! I can't imagine reorganizing your room...you have so much!!! Wishing you lots of fun on your next trip to see the family💕.
I have several shops that do those words first one pink monarch prints, Betty’s custom design, the journal boat. Hope this helps I love watching your videos.
I love each time you go through this journal and add more ephemera. I wish they made Christmas cards like the ones you have from the days gone by. They were so pretty back then! We get a fall break from school for the next few days. I hope I can get some collaging done to have on hand. Have a blessed day!
Super fun video today!! We agreed on most things and that makes me giggle😂. Both journals are so lovely💗. See you tomorrow for more laughs and giggles💖💖💖💖💖
Good morning Gayle!! I don't get affended when you cut off Santa's body parts. Cracks me up when I look through the DreamsEtc Christmas journal and see the Santa with no boots/feet!! 🤣 Love all the beautiful decorating today, gorgeous journals!! Speaking of missing Etsy sellers, does anyone know what happened to EllaCateDesigns? She's been on a short break for a couple years now!! Have an awesome day...💜
Good Morning Gayle, happy crafting Thursday! Enjoyed watching you decorate today, I’m currently working on a Vintage themed JJ and seeing yours helped me with mine. TYFS and have a great day!! 👍🍂🍂🍂
Hi sis! I finally got to watch one of your Christmas videos… woohoo! I loved it! Makes me want to work on one of my unfinished Christmas journals from last year! The journal you finished and the next one are both gorgeous! Beautiful job! Love you sis! ❤
So proud of you for using your stash! I personally don't mind if Santa loses a head or leg. Lol. I have been going through a lot lately with my hubby's medical issues but your videos always cheer me up! Thanks so much!
Hi Gayle! I’m creating a Christmas journal too! I love moving my craft room around! It is a lot of work though. And the mess that it makes moving! Woo!!
Hello Gayle great idea using your cards.... I would love to see that Medicare book of collage or do you have a tutorial on collage book from scraps love to see how you made it.
I love making ephemera, but finishing a journal is a very close second. I appreciate that you shared your process for including and placing ephemera. I’m so haphazard about it. Have a safe trip and fun at the game. 😊
Gayle, you made a postcard pocket for each journal, but I don't think you put one in here yet! Did you decide not to? The ones with the stickles and nuvo drops...?
I just got back from 2 weeks in London and Paris (my first time). I even got to spend 2 days at Paris Disneyland. So I have lots of catching up on your videos. I missed hearing your voice to start my day.
I love that you're finding places to use your existing ephemera in this journal. Yay! However, I would have a long think before trying to move your desk into the large part of your craft room. In the ell, you have everything within arm's reach. That likely wouldn't be the case in the large part of your room. I'm sure you'll let us know what you do. Good luck moving things around! TFS!
I don't believe it, I just picked up some hair ties yesterday with the very same idea of using them as closures, only with a button... that's spooky!🤣🤣🤣
Yes Gayle! It’s our fault we get offended when Santa loses a head or leg! You goof ball! You crack me up!! Thanks for allowing Santa to keep his head and live in a different journal. Maybe you won’t be on the naughty list this year!
I thought I was going crazy for a minute. I remembered you gluing some of this in and decorating things that in this video aren’t done yet but we did it already and I’m not crazy! Haha. Well maybe a little but not about this!
Good morning Gayle. I cannot find those exact words either but Ginger Journals does have some that are red and green Christmas words. Also Shop moon stream studio has some red and green. There are lots of others but not on coloured paper. Hope this helps. I am loving the Christmas journals. Hugs.
Hi Gayle. I can’t believe we’re working on Christmas already, I love using old Christmas cards too I have an off topic question; I’m looking for that fairy stamp I’ve seen you use in the past. It’s a little girl and I think the co name has the word red in it. Let me know. Thanks, Angel🧑🎄
Maybe Gayle or someone can say what they use , but I am kinda confused on paper weights and which papers you use for Journal pages and embellishments . For instance would you use card stock (like a corner pocket) on tea dyed copy paper ? How do you know what to print on? Like are all pockets and tags on cardstock? I'm sorry for asking so many questions :) I just love your videos and everyone in the JJ world adores you . Thank you for everything
There really are no hard and fast rules. I guess experimenting is part of the process. Just give yourself permission to be adventurous because at the end of the day, it's just paper. And when you get as good as Ms. Gayle you can usually fix alot of things if they go wrong anyway 😆. I usually wait to sew in my signatures until I am done decorating in case there is something i want to change. Anyway everybody has their preferences. I personally use 32 lb presentation paper for my digital journal pages but other pages can range from vellum to cardstock scrapbook paper. I print my journal cards and tags on 65 lb cardstock when I can or if it is something already on a lesser paper i back it with some book page and then regular 20 lb copy paper that has been coffee/tea dyed. I will say that if you like to use stamps you may want to go with a heavier paper because the ink may bleed through regular copy paper. I think Ms. Gayle uses red river photo paper for her digitals and if you go to her links in the description of her video it is either under her amazon affiliate link or her favorite things. I can't remember. So, as you see even we use different things. Just jump in and play and try a few things and you will find your preference. Also I hope the lbs help because I do not know GSM equivalents. The most important thing is to not stress about it and HAVE FUN!!!
@@chamelaroo4683 Wow , thank you so much for all of this information , so helpful . I’m sure I am overthinking it lol . But I love the tip about stamping . I just need to jump in lol . Honestly thank you so much for the time you also took replying. I will go look at Gayles favorites , I also use appreciate in lbs vs gsm. Thanks friend
@@grwakehouse8929 I can overthink things sometimes too so I know how it is. My best advice honestly is just giving yourself permission to make mistakes. That is how anybody learns. Its ok if it doesn't turn out. Sometimes fixing something you don't like can lead to something better than you imagined in the first place. If not, there is always the trash can. I won' t tell 😉
Such great conversation! Yes, I use 26 lb matte photo paper from Red River Paper Co for digitals…but not always. 😁. Sometimes I print digitals on coffee dyed copy paper or vellum or label paper etc. As for papers as pages in the journal, in my book, anything goes!! 👍😁❤️

Hello Gayle great idea using your cards.... I would love to see that Medicare book of collage or do you have a tutorial on collage book from scraps love to see how you made it.
