I watched you today and then went and cleaned almost my entire stash of small bits and pieces. Now I have 40 clusters ready to go. Thanks Gayle!
You really got a lot done. I’ve been watching you and many others make journals for over two years. I got a few stamps and stencils, paper, and glue. I started doing Crafty Cat’s 50 Guest Check Challenge. I’m very slow at getting one done,but I like making the tags. Today I looked at books at Goodwill and found a children’s book from 1916. It has a child’s signature from 1929, and she drew a little bit in the book. I was so excited about getting that book. It convinced me that I can do “Junk Journaling.” I have saved so many window envelopes, paper bags, cardboard pieces, etc. All of you paper crafters form such an incredible group so I’m going o try to spend more time with paper and a bit less with videos. Can’t wait to make my first journal! Thank you for all that I’ve earned from you.
What a cool fun scrappy Saturday, I love clusters, and thanks for the shout out, and using my red and green flowers, now I want to make clusters. 💕🌸💕. My what a lot of goodies you were able to make in an hour and they are so cute😊. I have such a small space that I can’t keep too many scraps so I make clusters and use the strips about every couple of days. After every journal I make I have a scrap buster and collage a lot of pages and cut them into what I need. If they get out of hand before I am done with a project Jeff collages for me. Which is a win because I can keep on going with what I am doing!
Just.... day made! After weeks of no time to craft I decided to take today to play with paper. Of course, that means time with my favorite people and wow. Hearing my name spoken by you just warmed my heart to the melting point. I love you GA and thank you for sharing your morning and brightening my day. Hmmmm. Maybe it's a sign that I should make some clusters!

Gayle, you did get a lot done and lots of scraps used up and you have so much pretty Christmas things to decorate with. I think you should totally get a picture of yourself with your matching merch standing in front of your tree. Would be a great pic for one of your personal journals, what a great memory that would make. Also, couldn't help wondering if you were going to mutilate Ho Ho Ho this year, lol.

I squealed like a little girl. “Gayle, I found it!! It’s the perfect size!” 😂 I do hope I’m not the only one who ‘talks’ to you while watching videos. 😂 Clusters are a good idea. Hi Gayle, I just love watching to do these clusters especially if I see a scrap of Parr that I have too. Like your green polka dot Christmas one. I made my own design of a purple Halloween book for my granddaughter last night. But I need to start my xmas stuff. I made a waterfall xmas book from the book with that green polka dot book. Ho Ho! Lol. Don’t forget the 3rd Ho! Gets me giggling every time. I can still remember laughing until we were crying! These are lots of fun! Now you need to make a few of your stamped labels in Christmas colors with some of the scraps!

That is a lot of clusters and ephemera. I premade clusters years ago when I still made cards and somehow they never did fit on anything I made so I hesitate a bit to do that again. Also I have hardly any space to put them till usage. But it doés take a lot of extra time when you do a project from scratch.

So cute, I need to make some more of these. I was organizing all my Christmas stuff yesterday and I have a gallon size baggie of scraps. I took my Cathe Holden die cuts and put them in a sandwich baggie because they’re easier to get out and the card on the back of the packaging is a perfect collage journal card already. Not sure if I’ll be able to use the cards but maybe just hoard for a while longer.
This is my first time doing christmas journals so I am sure I will soon have a heap of christmas scraps to make some clusters with. 😆

I have a question... what determines whether u stable the clusters or glue them?
When I make them while I’m watching tv, I staple for convenience. I can always glue if they are sticking up funny when I put them on the ephemera piece. Hope that makes sense! ❤️

First this is not negative and more of my ignorance. But what heck are these good for? I know you keep saying g embellishing bit embellish what a whole page? I just don't get and am begging for enlightenment. I love ❤️ your work and generosity of sharing it with us.
You maybe didn’t watch to the end of the video? I used them to decorate tags, pockets, journal cards as the focal point on the piece. Bigger clusters can be used as tuck spots on a page. They can also be just decoration on a page. Hope that helps! ❤️
