When I was a kid ladies wore gloves anytime they were out. They also wore hats. In 1960 pillbox hats were all the fashion because that’s what Jackie Kennedy wore.
Adorable vintage cookbook! this is exactly the style inspiration I've been looking for. I've been racking my brain on how to make one for my sister n law thank you for your inspiration! These are brilliant! Oh and I love love the charms!
I love these. You did a great job. I love all the vintage ads you used, and other vintage ephemera. I wish I had seen this when it was posted. I would have loved to have purchased one.
This is on my radar to make for myself for my family's favorite recipes. :) I love all of the details you put into yours! Brilliant to turn old tablecloth scraps into journaling cards!!
Your video just showed up on my RUclips page today and I'm so glad it did! Love, love, love your advertising packaging incorporation in your journals and you have given me so many great ideas! I too am a vintage advertising lover and so enjoyed your video. Thanks (a few years later)!
omg love this video. Just found you and I can't believe we are so close. I live in Canby. My daughter is an art/ English teacher and our summer journal project is a cookbook from a vintage cookbook like yours. Thanks for the inspiration . Angela from Oregon

OhMyGosh! I just love these, I bought an old BHG cookbook last year, to make a cookbook for myself. You have re-inspired me! So excited to have found your channel!
Love, LoVe, LOVE these! Thank you so much for sharing. You asked if we would be interested in any cookbooks on your Esty shop, and, yes, I would like to see what you have... when you settle in with your folks. I tried to find your shop and noticed it was down for now. As God reminds me, I will pray for you - tough stuff and busy time... Blessings! :)
Awesome journals Emily! I collect cookbooks and I just can't part with any to transform LOL I have books alll the way back to the 1800's. I also have a stash of vintage apron patterns as well as about 2 dozen already cut out in vintage fabrics. The pre-cut aprons were a find at the curb! It amazes me what was tossed when the parents passed away. Their Mom's entire craft/sewing room. My Mom & I loaded up all we could and kept the things we really liked and then donated the rest to a senior center for their crafting room. This was years ago but I still cannot part with those aprons! I did sew a couple together for my Grandma (she loves aprons) made her happy because they were like the aprons she had when she was a newlywed! lol
Howdy I saw your cook book on Pinterest I usually don’t watch flip through but I have one of those cookbooks Loved your ideas you made me laugh I enjoyed you Thanks for sharing

I am making a few of these. So fun! Thanks for the inspiration! My mom used to wear white gloves for shopping downtown! Fancy!😅 PS...I bought a pack of your dyed papers...not my thing...dyeing papers. I need to do it, though.🙃
That is a very good question- lots of years of accumulation. Love be all that old stuff - just can’t help myself. I mainly got it at estate sales and thrift stores and I swear some of it magically appears in my craft room 😆
I punched the holes one hole at a time. It sounds bad but I just made a template. I worked on one page at a time punched as I went instead of doing them all at once.

Did u say? Where’d u find a five hole puncher? Or paper for it?
I punched the holes one hole at a time. It sounds bad but I just made a template. I worked on one page at a time punched as I went instead of doing them all at once.
