No they were born in the Isle of Man so British, lived in Manchester but emigrated to Australia in 50's. They only gained success when they came back to Britain in 1967.
All three brothers are versatile singers, they all have amazing natural /chest voices. It just so happens Barry (middle brother) sang many leads during the late 1970's because he had a far-ranging falsetto. His brothers contributed harmonies in falsetto and adlibs during the same periond (late 1970's). In the late 1960's-1975 approximately, Robin (no beard) had a goodly share of the lead with his unique voice. Barry occasionally sang lead, and "Mo"Maurice (with beard and receding hairline) seldom sang a lead. --about a track every other album. The songs were written by two, or all three brothers most of the time. There were instances when one brother would contribute a song he'd written.
The BeeGees actully sold a great deal of songs to other artists who made hits with them. As for Mo, (Maurice), he recorded an intire album of love songs dedicated to his new wife and wedding. His brothers sang in the background.
@@cliftonparago4547 They gave songs to a number artists freely: Kenny Rogers, Barbra Streisand, Diana Ross, Dionne Warwick, Otis Redding, Percy Sledge, Frankie Valli, Sir Richard Cliff, Samantha Sang, Yvonne Elliman, etc.
When this was written all royalties went to UNICEF - about £13 million so far for starving children. Super reaction. Thanks. They could all sing falsetto and did in many songs, but Barry could sing it for longer.
Barry the oldest in the middle didn't start using his falsetto until the song Nights On Broadway 1975. The bearded one is Maurice (pronounced Morris) and clean shaven is Robin. Maurice and Robin are twins. Barry and Robin do most leads, but Maurice can sing too. They donated the profits from this song to UNICEF a child's charity. Been reported to be between 11 and 13 million dollars. They had a younger brother who also sang Andy, he had a solo career, because when he started the older brothers were already established. Andy passed away at age 30. Unfortunately Barry is the only brother still alive.
There’s a 4th brother Andy Gibb, also great voice. There’s a song called Alone that you hear a lot of Robin in. Robin also had a fairly successful solo career, I understand.
You have five decades of songs as amazing as this one. These brothers have written over 1,100 songs and hundreds of artists have recorded their songs. For Whom The Bell Tolls. Nights On Broadway. I Can't See Nobody.
you are forever changed by this song!! weve known about the bee gees for 40 plus years!!! the 70's rocked, & i was lucky enough to be in high school and hearing this type of music every day!!
This group is fantastic Barrie is the one in the middle, they have written many many songs for Barbra Streisand and other's, you should listen to her voice is awesome.
I love your reaction to Barry's voice! Almost everyone has the same reaction to him! You are not alone young man! Actually you are in good company, all of the people I've watched react to this have had basically the same reaction!
Grew up with the BeeGees. They were the best band and their harmonies were beyond any one else. Listen to Gotta Get A Message To You. How Deep Is Your Love. They have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Songwriters Hall of Fame. They wrote all their music and music for other artists. Barry the one in the middle is the only surviving BeeGees he’s been married to his wife Linda for over 50 years. Just love your reaction ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
In my mind i'm romantic yes. I have a hard time trusting people and If i love you I want to make sure I can trust you so I can love you like I want to love you. But showing me that you are the person to trust takes a lot wish ruines everything. And than it's too late when I realize that she was the person I could love for real how I wanted to. I am a mess 🤦🏿
@@theneverenderreacts Never give up though. Anyone capable of love is going to experience heartbreak at least once. But don't close your heart to the future. The best is yet to come and almost always happens when you're not looking and not expecting it. Good luck to you! ❤
@viviennerodgers5351 wrong! They're Brtish, born on the Isle of Man, family moved back to Manchester. Emigrated to Australia for 8 years before returning to the United Kingdom in 1967
Thanks for the shoutout. They sang professionally since they were small kids. You may also like “Nights on Broadway” live on The Midnight Special. Then you can hear each brother sing as they come in separately. And some other songs I’d suggest.. - How Deep Is Your Love - Love You Inside Out - Jive Talking Almost 5 decades of hits to choose from, but that’s a good start. Thanks!!!
They were born in the UK. But grew up in Australia, left for the uk and on to America for their music after Barry was 21, the fraternal twins were 3 years younger. They wrote over 1,000 songs, many hits for them and other big names
I've always loved the Bee Gees. I love your reactions to their songs!!! Some song suggestions from them: How can you mend a broken heart Jive Talkin' Love So Right More than a Woman
I absolutely love your reaction to this song! It doesn’t get better than The Bee Gees! The harmony is amazing. This is what we mean when we say real music!!! Thank you for doing this!!! Love so right by them is amazing!!!!
Welcome in the Univers of the Bee Gees. They had so many Songs. And every Song is a surprice. I grow up with the best Group ever. Amazing Voices Amazing Song Amazing Bee Gees for ever and allways 🕺🥰👍
How Deep is your Love, Fanny be tender with my love, Love you inside and out, More than a woman are brilliant love songs by them. Robin, the bro without a beard, has a beautiful voice and sang lead on a lot of 60s songs. Maurice takes the lead occasionally but is best at the amazing bass lines. They wrote over 1000 songs.
A new subscriber and I am loving your reactions today! They are brothers. Barry Gibb is the oldest with the high falsetto. The others are twins Maurice and Robin. Robin has the longer hair. Unfortunately both Robin and Maurice have passed away
Barry (the one in the middle) is the oldest brother.. Robyn and Maurice are twins, all three are brothers.. Barry was the greatest falsetto singer in my time.. There was also a younger brother, Andy Gibbs who was a solo artist.. All 3 of the younger brothers have passed away.. Barry is the only living brother.. This music will never die and any generation can definitely enjoy, their clean lyrics, beautiful vocals, harmonies and melodies.. No cursing, no sexual overtones, just pure beautiful music that everybody including children can sing… I’m glad you’re enjoying this as much as we did.. ❤
Welcome to the rabbits hole, do you dare go that bit further into it there's approximately 1300 other songs they wrote and sang, thank you for the reaction, could see the joy in your face along with shock. ❤
I’m pretty sure that my soul has every one of your expressions when I listen to this song. 😆😆 Probably about 100 times by now and it still gets me right in the heart.
Love your joyous reaction to this music. I have been listening to this song on and off since it came out in late 1978. It is just magical, angelic, transcendental - it just strikes a chord in my soul. As a result, the BeeGees catalogue has been a large part of the 'soundtrack' of my life. If music can become a part of your being, then the BeeGees' music has become part of mine.
NeverEnder, I cannot tell you how much joy it gives me to see your wonderful reaction to this music which is the soundtrack of my youth. I loved this music then, and I love it even more now! So glad you love it too! It shows that GOOD music is truly timeless. God Bless You!

Greatest voices and better melodies along 5 decades. Incredible Barry´s voice, not only in his falsetto but in his chest voice too. Robin, so different from other popular singer and of course Maurice, who creator of the arrangements in voices and instruments. Only one hearing and you´ll became a fan.
A great song for hearing Robins vibrato is "For whom the Bell Tolls". The video of them under the Brooklyn Bridge in NYC is awesome, The Statue of Liberty and the Twin Towers were still standing in the background. Brings a tear to Americans eye, to this Day! 💯🇺🇸
It amazing how blown away these young people are about this music. Its normal to our generation.
THIS is what music is meant to do, take you to heaven for a few moments and fill your soul with pure joy. What a precious gift.
Music is made up of frequencies and when those frequencies touch your soul you get chills. Works on your spirit.
3 English brothers Barry in middle Robin on left and his twin Maurice on right sadly only Barry still with us x
As a grown man, I had tears in my eyes with how much love you commented on this song by the Bee Gees grüsse from Germany
❤ your reaction! The brothers Gibb are in a league of their own! Beautiful !!
Barry is the middle one, Robin is on the right, and Maurice on the left with dark hair❤️
Don,t forget, The BeeGees wrote their songs. Music and words. And mention, they are brothers...
Barry’s voice is The first ever to but an actual sound not just words to a feeling. He said this without saying a word.
One of the best songs ever made
