*The Bee Gees never used auto tune* . *What you are hearing is PURE TALENT* .
Great reaction. For no good reason, I love watching young people freak out at the talent of these three perfect voices. The harmonies are heaven. Barry Gibb defined falsetto. No one does it better.
Thank you and thanks for watching! I’ll be doing more from them, consider subscribing!
I love seeing it too!!! The Brothers Gibb (all 4) at THE GOATS!!!!
@@tinakeith5822 Brothers Gibb
@@LizzieRD damn auto correct
@@tinakeith5822 🥳🤣😂😂
Without living in that era you cannot understand how freaking huge these guys were. They literally conquered the world.
So true!☺️
And so many people thought they were just disco artists after the success of Saturday Night Fever but they were around long before that.
Well said and completely true
For years!
And you came across one of the live tapes they're doing this with live Orchestra and all of that that you hearing is live
Nobody can touch the BeeGees. They’re all legends in my book. Wrote well over 1000 songs. Been singing together since 1958. Check out their 60s songs❤
Nothing false said above
Agree, these guys are untouchable! The Beatles might have sold more records, but they are weak vocalists compared to the Brothers Gibb.
@@tom-id1nz I agree. Totally
@@tom-id1nz I'm with you. I also think that when the Beatles are spoken of, the Bee Gees deserve a spot in that conversation. If I'm not mistaken, at one time, Barry Gibb had 6 or 7 songs in the top 10 at the same time. Bee Gees and songs he had written for other artists. Barry is a writing machine. There are so many songs out there that were huge hits that no one really knows that he was the writer. Amazing talent.
@@MullyShaves Right on!
takes you back to when music was real, musicians could play, and singers could actually sing don't it.
Basically, nothing like today's music.👍
@@paulbirtles2807 You got that right!!😃😁🫡💯💥🫵
Lots of present day musicians and singers do all that too, as you'd know if you weren't an ignorant boomer
Amen! I miss it.
Yep
3 brothers who not only were incredibly talented and worked tirelessly to perfect their craft, but more importantly, they truly loved each other.
All four brothers!
Loved each other, their families & their fans!
I just watched an interview that Barry gave. And he said that at the time of his brothers death the only thing that he regrets is that they were not speaking. He said we were not getting on. And he got emotional and ask the interviewer. Can we take a break? He said that’s the first time ever cry. But he misses his brothers so very much. It’s on RUclips search for it.
And how truly humble they were. Mr. Barry Gibb still is a polite man.
They started singing together in harmonies at the age of 9 (Barry) and 6 (his twin brothers Robin and Maurice).
This song was donated to UNICEF. It hit No. 1 in both the US and Canada. It's earned the charity around $11 million in royalties since then. Barry Gibb, Robin Gibb and Maurice Gibb wrote this track with "Tragedy" in an afternoon off from the making the Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band movie; that same evening, the Gibbs wrote "Shadow Dancing" for Andy Gibb (but that song was later credited to all four Gibbs).
I heard Shadow Dancing on South Park it it just reminded me how great the song is. I had to buy it that day.
My only regret is that they donated the song to that mafia of civil servants with fantastic salaries that is UNICEF (and in general any UN organisation).
Otherwise, that was the second album I bought when I was 13 (the first was by Elton John) with what I saved from my weekend allowance.
Fantastic productions with zero digital processing.
Three brothers, one mic, pure talent.
No such thing as auto-tune when this was recorded. This is pure unadulterated talent at its best.
This is a music video. There were 27 layers in this song
They had a career spanning 45+ years and a discography of over 1000 songs....... they only stopped because they literally died off one by one only Barry ( the guy in the centre) is alive now and will be 77 years old as of September 1st......loved your reaction BTW.....
Amazing! Thanks for the info. Definitely going to react more to them!
It's so sad to hear him note, these days, that, as the oldest, he never expected to be the last one alive. I lost my younger brother. I hurt for him.
@@TheHonestTake I have their 50th anniversary album: "Bee Gees: Mythology". Songs by the Bee Gees and their younger brother, Andy
@@andybittner3834 the older sister Leslie is still alive.
@@Mary-xb2fz Really? Tell it to Barry. He's the one that said it. Clearly, he was referring to being the last member of the BeeGees, not the last member of his family.
They were all incredible singers individually too, not just Barry. Even their little brother Andy was amazing. Crazy that much talent was in one family.
Thanks for your comments 100% agree. Andy was my 1st concert when I was like 12 yrs. Old.
Welcome to the rabbit hole of the Bee Gee's, all three brothers had very strong amazing voices. Listen to "I Started A Joke" and you will hear Robins solo. Their music spanned decades, they wrote for others and themselves dropping hits everywhere. Never used auto tune. The twins have passed on but the oldest, Barry, is still out there touring on his own. I followed their careers from the 1960s and still listen to them. Their music just never gets old.
I would never call a Bee Gee .. a back up singers
Agree!! that is an huge insult!!
I agree , but to be fair for him , he clearly stated he doesn’t know them.
They are not back-up singers.Wow.They are all equal,in their input,and importance.All songwriters,and Mo,arranger,multi instrumentalist,wide vocal range,funny and gorgeous.Robin,on the left,Mo’s twin,multi instrumentalist,songwriter and totally unique vocals.Also,a wonderful man.The older brother,Barry,songwriter,guitarist,and amazing vocalist.Also a producer for many artists,and a lovely man.All of them philanthropists,too.
Oh,and their younger brother,Andy,was a pop sensation,in the decade,or so,before he died,in 1988,aged 30.He also was a songwriter,guitarist,with a beautiful voice.
Their older sister,Lesley could also sing,but didn’t take it up,further than a few gigs,to replace Robin,when the group split,for a while.
There will never be another group like them.Ever.
Not sure if Robin would be considered a multi-instrumentalist. Also Barry's written many more songs than his brothers....& is second behind Paul McCartney for songwriting credits in Guinness Records.🎶
That is true but to call them back up singers is a little eh, dismissive? although I understand the guy doing the reaction did it with no knowledge of them and I like that kind of a reaction. I’m certain he went on to further educate himself, I hope.
@@6.2ltrv85I don't think he meant it dismissively. In this song, Barry sings lead vocal, that's all. I agree that the three of them were equally important to their sound.
@@kthor - Barry was not a "multi-instrumentalist" either.
@@susieq9801 The author or myself never said Barry was anything else other than a guitarist.
And notice, three singers, one mike. Nothing less than perfection. And in case someone hasn't said it; Bee Gees stands for Brothers Gibb. So yes, they are brothers.
Maurice and Robin were twins…. Sadly both have passed
Too Much Heaven is from the Bee Gee's live performance at The Music for UNICEF Concert: A Gift of Song. It was a benefit concert of popular music held in the United Nations General Assembly in New York City on January 9, 1979. It was intended to raise money for UNICEF world hunger programs and to mark the beginning of the International Year of the Child. The concert was videotaped and broadcast the following day on NBC in the U.S. and around the world. The Bee Gees gave UNICEF rights to all royalties from the song. It's raised about $13 Million for UNICEF thus far.
That also wasnt live
All 3 bee gees sing lead in different songs all excellent
Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb. Those familial harmonies are perfection because the tones and vibratos are so closely matched. Just sublime.
They donated all the proceeds to UNICEF, which helps children world wide. To this date they have reached over $10 million dollars and still growing.
They each have a beautiful voice and they each sing lead on different songs. 5 decades of hits. Not just disco.
PURE JOY! They were underappreciated when they were performing. But in retrospect, they are perhaps the MOST talented vocal group in music history compiling their song-writing, vocal harmonies, and career longevity as they changed their vocals through that career.
bee gees love you inside out
This is an Era when music was real and very good! This is my coming of age Era...and I'm forever grateful.
LOVED YOUR REACTION 😊. They are TOOO BEAUTIFUL for words, aren’t they!!😊. I grew up with them. Dig deeper, you won’t regret it 😊
The fact that Barry has his hands in his pockets shows how easy this is for him
Or Robin with his hands on his hips or Maurice just chillin'.
That's the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra backing them. Check out 'Alone', the video of clips where they're in studio, meeting people, and goofing around when they're young...a stratospherically-high falsetto tune. Maurice, right, hits notes that sound more like a flute than a voice when they sing the line '...just the beat of a lonely heart'...amazing!
Bee Gees were simply epic. Their catalog is a rabbit hole you will totally enjoy...from the 60s to early 2000s. And just a couple years ago, Barry released Greenfields. It's a collection of their songs in duets with country music stars. Really enjoyable. Finally, to get a flavor of how truly talented they were, check out some of their live performances. 1989 in Melbourne comes to mind.
There will never be another beegees
YES! Those are their real voices!!
I was married one year (1977) before this was released in 1978. This would have been in my wedding too, but with them singing, at the reception. Love, love, love the Bee Gees. I am a black female, 68 yrs old, grew up with them. (A bit lengthy, but a must read.) The Bees Gees: (from left to right) Robin, Barry and Maurice (pronounced Morris) Robin (Dec 22, 1949 - May 20, 2012) passed away as a result of kidney failure. Maurice (Dec 22, 1949 - Jan. 12, 2003.) Passed as a result of a twisted intestine. He was in the
hospital for 2 days. Barry said he had a heart attack, but the doctors still operated. Maurice and Robin were fraternal twins.
Andy Gibb, the youngest brother, had his own successful career. He was 12 yrs younger than Barry. He and Barry looked so much alike, that they could had been twins. Andy passed away in 1988, at the age of 30. Lived a lifestyle involving drugs, and he had heart problems. The brothers wrote all of his songs. Barry (middle) stated, "I am the last man standing." He was born September 1, 1946. He has 5 adult children and 7 grandkids. On September 1, 2022, he and his wife Linda celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary. (They were married on his 24th birthday.) On a side note, the first born is their sister, Lesley, who was 78, January 12, 2023. Lesley didn't have an interest to be in the limelight, but she can sing. They wrote all of their songs, and songs for other singers, which they sang after the songs were released for the other singers. The brothers have a VERY IMPRESSIVE catalogue of songs! I recommend the following songs:

At one time 5 of their songs were in the top 10. Another time, four of the songs that were written by them for others were in the top 5. A song that Barry wrote for Andy was #2, but then it went to #1, and the Bee Gees song became #2!
The harmony between the brothers Barry, Robin and Maurice was unique. Perfect!!!!
More Bee Gees! Alone, One, How Deep Is Your Love, Words, Bodyguard, Man In The Middle, there are so many great songs by them❤
Each one of the brothers sing brilliantly. They have all sung lead on different songs. Great stuff.
They all can carry a song on their own. I love them.
This brought back memories. They were the best...so was Andy who had a solo career. All of them are fantastic singers individually too...great songwriters. The love they had for one another really showed too. There will never be another group like them.
I grew up listening to the Bee Gee Brothers, & you have no idea how happy it makes me, to see the younger generation discover the music we fell in love with !!! All three brothers had their own unique falsetto's, baritone chest voices, and everything in-between, and were also able to slide up and down with ease!!! IMO, they are the most talented group, & exceptional singers of all time! They span over many decades, & crossed quite a few genres, so if you choose to go down this rabbit hole, you will have a terrific journey!! I believe, that if there is music in Heaven, it would sound like the Bee Gee's ❤❤❤
Beautiful song. Perfect harmonies. Their voices are perfection.
Brothers singing together since young children. They are all powerhouses
Vibrato...that thing with his (Barry's) voice. The other two are his twin brothers, younger but just as talented as him. They have some truly singular material. They write everything they sing, and they write a lot for other artists. btw, Barry is not always doing lead vocals, the other guys do some too, and they are fantastic. None of them read music or ever had a lesson on any instrument. They released 32 albums, 22 of them studio. These three kids from the Isle of Man did pretty well for themselves, selling over 220 million records. One of my faves from the 60's is "To Love Somebody", which they wrote for Otis Redding, and ended up recording themselves. And I love "For Whom The Bell Tolls", 1993. Happy listening...I don't think these guys ever wrote a bad song.
This was all falsetto and high & low harmonies. Please read prior comment posted by Wayne, as he explains the 27 vocal tracks.🎼
@@kthor You don't know me or anything about me...don''t paint me as an idiot unless you include yourself.
Absolutely love For Whom the Bell Tolls. I don’t see many people mention it when requesting or suggesting a BeeGees song! I would love to see one of these many channels react to that song!😊
Maurice very rarely sang lead
@@TheBrownlj Maurice has albums full of him singing lead. And he sang quite a few leads with his brothers, as well. You must not be up on what Mo's done.
The talent they had was real in all of them. I got to to see them on Sept 16, 1979, I will never forget, I was a huge fan since early 70's
I always say they’re harmonious we’re so good it sounds like one person ! Absolutely amazing ! One of the greatest songs ever !!
When Barry Gibb did a solo album & laid down his own backing vocals, the harmony of his voice & the harmony of his brothers voices are so close, people thought the Bee Gees were singing & it wasn't a solo effort by Barry Gibb. Because if you layer any one of them it has the flawless, Bee Gee sound.
I am 55 and grew up with the bee gees. My dad bought Saturday night fever album when i was 11 and rest is history. These guys are iconic. I miss andy.
In 1993, MTV-Most-Wanted, they sang and played live and unplugged first a song called 'Blue Island', which they donated to the children of Bosnia which were goin' thru' a criminal war and second a medley of earlier hits. React to both, just to hear and see their brilliance which is on a top level of their own.
The alternate note "too" at 5:36 is a quick little gem that flies under the radar. They do it again at 6:34
Welcome to the wonderful world of the BeeGees! Enjoy the journey. It's a long one. They change with the times. Hits in the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's and early 2000's until we lost our first BeeGee. Truly Amazing brothers!
No group on this planet harmonizes like the BeeGees. ❤
This is my first time sitting in with you! Thank you for allowing me to do that! Bee Gees translates to Brothers Gibb so yes they are related! They've been singing together their entire lives! It's called a falsetto. I really enjoyed sitting in with you and I loved your reaction to this wonderful song!
What most people miss listening to this song is how it feels. It reaches out and grabs the soul, and those who feel music, it is really noticeable while feeling this song.
Bee Gees sang three part harmonies. The three are brothers who started singing as children Barry in the middle was 9 Robin on the right, long hair, no beard and Maurice shorter hair, beard fraternal twins were 6 years old. Barry and Robin shared leads and occasionally Maurice. They have a catalogue of over 1000+ song they wrote for themselves and other top artists. Please react to HOW DEEP IS YOUR LOVE and LOVE YOU INSIDE OUT, by The Bee Gees, thank you. ❤❤❤
Attended The Bee Gees Tour in 1977/78 all this wonderful sounds/vocals! Opening Act was The Village people...talk about wild and fun times.
Yes they are Brothers..the 2 either side of Barry in the middle are twins and are now both deceased 😢 sending love from London 🇬🇧 ❤
When I heard this song in childhood, I thought the backup singers' voice were synthesizer's generated! That's so unreal!
They are all exceptionally great!! The best group ever!! I love the Bee Gees. They have written and sang 1000s and written hits for many other artist. Thanks for sharing.
This takes me back to my teen years.
Music was just so much better than it is now.
Lol. They’re brothers been singing together since they were 7 or 8 years old. Course Barry is in the middle. Twin brothers Robin and Maurice. Nobody can Harmonize like them. All the proceeds of the song went to UNICEF and still does today over a million plus. Barry is the only one living
It’s unreal!

The Bee Gees were the greatest ever!! Their music touches your heart and soul! Perfect harmonies! Watch Fanny be tender with my love 💓
I LOVE THE BEE GEES❤ BEST MUSIC BEE GEE BROTHERS ❤❤
Robin, the skinny one with real long hair, had Ana amazing voice all his own, a few recommendations from their early songs where he’s lead are I Started a Joke, Can’t See Nobody, and Massachusetts. And ones where him and Barry (one in the middle), are trading off lead are How Do You Mend a Broken Heart, and I’ve Gotta Get a Message To You. I ESPECIALLY recommend Can’t See Nobody cos Robin’s voice sounds amazing and it has this realllly sexy baroque instrumentation going on 🤤
Shout out to the brothers Bee Gees, and all the musicians who kept in synchronous harmony with them.
They were so insanely talented. When you take the dive into their story and realize just how many songs they wrote for their albums but also for so many other artists and you didn’t know! And they wrote soooo fast! There are 2 really good documentaries on RUclips that give such a well covered walk through their music as well as their personal lives AND their beautiful baby brother, Andy, is discussed as well. Well worth watching.
Can you tell which documentaries?

Sooooo glad you enjoyed! Go down the BeeGee rabbit hole, you won't b dissapointed in any decade they sing
Robin had an unusual beautiful voice so talented so unique,so good there will never ever be such talent again.
This was in the studio when they were laying the last layering track I think.
I have heard them sing it live and it's just as great without all the layers. There are plenty of recirdings of live performances out there.
That’s how this truly appears to me…layering…in the sense of singing to prerecorded matching vocals when it comes to the harmonies…that’s why it sounds so mind bogglingly amazing…not to take away from the talent that is their truth and trademark but there truly appears to be post production involved with this..but man does it sound awesome!
✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻70’s were MAGNIFICENT! I’m a music lover and I love it all from Roy Clark to Black Sabbath! Pure talent came out of the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s!

Awww. Memories of the 70's!!! Go down that rabbit hole, you won't be disappointed. This recorded at their studio.
Unbeaten in music history, and yes, Maurice was really unique and great to as his 3 Brothers
You should find some of their interviews where they pick up guitars and start singing while seated on a couch. That's where they get me...they sound just great. So many genres from the 60's to 2003. Much loved and greatly missed.
How Deep is Your Love, Love You Inside Out, More Than a Woman by the BeeGees. You'll love these.
Dreamy. That's what I think every time I hear it. I first heard this song when I was young enough to still believe in movie love. So romantic.
I can already tell...you are going to have a heck of a ride going down the rabbit hole to greatness ❤❤❤. I would suggest a song, but they are all amazingly unique, so just ini mini miny moe it!

🍃These boys have been singing , writing, and playing music together all their lives since they were little tackers. They came out of the same womb. Big brother Barry led his little brothers. It's called a loving, united family. Mum and Dad support all four of them 100%.
It's not hard to believe the success of their natural talent when you know their family unite is based on genuine love...

Nothing today can compare to this talent. We live in a era of mediocrity being widely accepted as great
Great reaction. Yes - LIVE. Bought up on the Bee Gees, am the same age now as Barry and they wrote the vast majority of everything they sing. The wrote for others too. Three brothers singing from 1958. Barry - headtone (falsetto) and the other two brothers also could sing upper register but not for as long. Brilliant aren't they. 😄😄😄
Pure 100% talent. No auto tune back then. Clear, simple and beautiful 😊❤
I've never heard a falsetto ever as good as the Bee Gees especially Barry
There are several songs where Robin takes the lead with another fantastic voice
Actually MANY songs and others with shared leads with Barry.
Watching these breaks my heart because there is only one Gibb brother left-the great lion mane Barry. And he’s the oldest. They definitely had their ups and downs but they were mystical. I was a child when disco was born, but I’ve caught. AND you need to check out all of the songs they wrote for other artists to sing MIND BLOWN
I love how nonchalant and relaxed Robin is…makes me smile. This is what effortless, flawless talent looks like. 💕
Robin was my favourite ❤
It’s amazing when you put family together! The two on the outside are actually twins!! This is 3 brothers and they have always been my favorite!! The vibrato is what you’re talking about!
I got to see them in concert in 1975. I was 16. Yes, they are brothers. You can find a couple of videos in black and white when they are kids singing on some local show. I love and prefer their 60s stuff. Enjoy.
back then everything is real. Today, is not the same. I miss those days. There is a video of the Bee Gees as kids 1963 B/W
What you're hearing is 27 vocal tracks! Barry recorded 18 by himself (triple-tracked the melody and 2 harmonies in chest voice, then triple-tracked the melody and harmonies in falsetto). Then all 3 of them triple-tracked the melody and harmonies in chest voice together. So, no, this video is not actually live, but many people swear it is! They do a fantastic job of lip-synching, but if you watch carefully, you can see one spot where there are harmony vocals, but only Barry is 'singing'.
Its live. You should research how many times they were asked about this cut, and they always said it was recorded "live". Plus, they sung three at the microphone all the time. Check out some of their concerts. Their live performances sound as good as the studio ones. They sang together for so many years from such a young age, that they knew each other inside and out and that's one reason they always sounded perfect, both pitch and timing. Amazing talent.

Barry did most of the leads during the disco era. Robin took the lead on the earlier stuff from the 60s. Some of his leads are "Massachusetts", "I Started a Joke", "I Gotta Get a Message to You". I have never been a fan of disco, but you cannot discount these guys talents.
loved how you called it when you wondered if they were "brothers" based on voice, intonation, etc
Thanks, Honest! No better harmonies than in family... Barry usually took the lead, as he does here... but my favorite was always Robin... hope you hear some of the songs where he takes leads... (truth is, anyone of those boys could hit any of those falsetto notes on any day of the week...lol) p.s. I think this was not truly "live" some of it was studio.. but if you see them LIVE, there's not much difference.. even when they were older...
Yes , they are brothers...
I grew up in Miami...
Ran into them one night at a restaurant called Horatios...even got a kiss from little brother Andy!!!
