I feel so privileged to have grown up with their music in the 1970's, along with that of ELO and Carpenters, among so many other talented artists. Great songs, lovingly produced and performed superbly are what links them and makes their music timeless.
This is what happens when the younger generations get a taste of what true talent is. I was born in '79 and grew up in Brooklyn in the 80's where Bee Gees were played on the radio all the time until at least the 90's. We take for granted how great music was compared to today. They are pure magic.
As beautiful as this song is, How Deep Is Your Love, I think, is one of the most beautiful songs ever recorded. It's absolutely amazing. As wonderful as Barry's voice is, Robin and Maurice are just as talented. While the Beatles and the Stones were cranking out top 40 hits, the Bee Gees were too. All three bands were staples of radio in the 60's. But there is nothing like sibling harmony. Pure heaven.
"Too Much Heaven" is a song by the Bee Gees, which was the band's contribution to the "Music for UNICEF" fund. They performed it at the Music for UNICEF Concert on 9 January 1979.
The Bee Gees and especially Barry (so fine) had the heart of every little Afro and hip-hugger jean-wearing Black girl in my neighborhood! This video still kills me, that hair, that beard, those slightly flared nostrils, that falsetto, and those slim hips in tight jeans oh my God! Finest man on the planet!!!
Also amazing that the profits of this song all went to UNICEF. The brothers were not only genius musicians, they also have a big heart, growing up so poor that's why they were forced to work by singing even as young as 9 years old.
I have been a Bee Gees fan since I was probably 17. Im 61 now. They were truly the best ever. Always in my heart. RIP Robin and Mo. You are both so missed.
The BeeGees wrote so many amazing lyrics, and with their own arrangements, took the music charts over for quite a while! I love it when you younger reactors discover the icons of my youth. Their unique style and sound will always be on my playlist. Love your comments!
Watched an interview w/ Barry & he was/is absolutely heartbroken he being the oldest & was the only brother left. That made me cry.😢I was around for not only them but younger brother Andy , too. What a talented family what joy they all bought❤

I love how they are so in sync when they sing this one, each word is perfect an exact with all of them and of course, Barry's falsetto is perfect and they were all zoned in on this one. You could tell by Barry's eyes on that close up. PERFECTION.
You do realise that this is not live? They are lip sucking to a recording. It wasn’t possible for them to do this version live because it’s 27 overlaid vocal tracks - 18 of Barry solo and 9 of all three brothers together. Barry at his songwriting and singing peak.
@@maelilmc4079 Yes because of the orchestra but frankly I don't care, I have no idea about this version of the song, where it was or anything else about it. Irregardless, they were very into what they were doing whether live or not.
Back in the late 80s a friend of mine asked me to go for a 4 hour drive so we bring a mutual friend home.
