Greatest Rock Band Ever
A masterpiece! Pete Townshend is such a great songwriter!
My favorite live band!
The Who may be one of the most underrated rock bands of all time. When people talk about the greatest groups it immediately goes to The Beatles, The Stones, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd (my personal favorite), Rush etc, (all deserving) but not enough people go right to The Who and that’s a shame because their catalogue is right up there with anyone’s
The Who performed at Woodstock, Live Aid, Concert for NYC, the Superbowl, and they were the last act at the closing ceremony of the London Olympics in 2012. Also, they recently announced a European tour in the spring and summer of 2023.
If I could only listen to one album for the rest of my life, it would be Quadrophenia.
F***ing masterpiece.
It's a shame there isn't any video of Roger Daltrey in the recording studio singing the vocals to this song because it must have been quite the sight to see him as he absolutely sang one for the ages on this masterpiece. Another extremely powerful vocal performance by Roger is on the song "Bargain".
what total respect you have shown to this incredible band the who,who are you my friend who who
Check out The Cinema Show or Firth of Fifth off Genesis’ album Selling England by the Pound, another 1973 classic.
This is such a killer group and the vocals on this song are off the charts. I love this band, thank you for your reaction.
The Who are a one of the great British rock bands from the 60's-70's. They are considered one of the most influential rock bands of the 20th century & have sold over 100 million records worldwide. They have so many great songs such as "I Can't Explain", "The Kids Are Alright", "My Generation", "Substitute", "Happy Jack", "I Can See For Miles", "Won't Get Fooled Again", "Baba O'Riley", "Behind Blue Eyes", "Boris The Spider", "Pictures Of Lily", "Magic Bus", "Who Are You", "Pinball Wizard" etc.
THE WHO have many great songs and eras of music to choose from, but my favorites come from one of the greatest live albums ever - Live at Leeds. No band at the time played with such raw power and energy. Young Man Blues, Amazing Journey/Sparks, Magic Bus are all bangers, but my favorite is My Generation - a 15 minutes medley of one amazing riff after another, they just keep on comin' like a runaway freight train.
I can't believe it took you this long to listen to this Pete Townshend Masterpiece. One of many he wrote for The WHO. Pete, Roger, John and Keith. LONG LIVE THE WHO!! 🤟
❤
This song is the final song on The Who's rock opera "Quadrophenia." Roger's Daltrey's vocals on "Love Reign O'er Me" are about as good as it gets with rock music. The whole album is worth a treat, but the first song (after the overture), "The Real Me", is especially worthy, as bassist John Entwistle gives a performance that is, again, about as good as you'll ever hear.
See Me Feel Me by The Who ( Woodstock) is epic. I hope you’ll give that one a reaction. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
You should listen to the whole double album this song was taken from, Quadrophenia
React to "Substitute" (early Who)
Please react to another great song of the who called "young man blues" from isle of wigth 1970 HD
Here's another 10. (and mebbe Pete's best lead playing) Kenny Jones on drums. RIP Mooney, but still great. And Pete's genius lyrics.
