This video is old, but his work in Legend & Taboo are also so solid. I mean, truly, when you watched him as the Kray brothers you really believe they are two separate actors/people. That takes so much talent!
When it popped up, I was thinking WHAAAT??? That's got to be higher on that list! Not that it's easy to choose a performance, he really nails them all. He had so few lines in "Dunkirk", and his facial expressions and eyes relayed exactly what was going through the character's mind. IMHO. But Alfie... Both comic relief and horrifying nightmare at the same time!
Now we have Tom Hardy in Taboo... which is one of my favorites of his. You get so lost in what he's portraying, that you forget he's an actor. He's insanely talented, and incredibly hot!
Numba wan! Could've been! This video was uploaded in 2015, Taboo came about in 2017 tho. Otherwise, Watchmojo wouldn't've hesitated (if they're rational enough)
I think his portrayal of Forest Bondurant was MAGICAL!!! His quiet, composed, and 1000% badass character was just stunning. I'm sure if Forest was still here, he would have loved this movie about his family and legacy. ❤
NOT So Average Joe The movie was not complete garbage. I guess you need to be able to understand or relate to such a lifestyle to see it through. Legend is by far my favorite movie.
Jaeden Phillips They made this list because Mad Max is coming out. They are basically promoting the film by making people interested in the lead actor. Although I personally didn't need this list to decide to watch it, I decided right after the first trailer I saw and finding out Tom Hardy was Mad Max.
Charlie Drummond yeah... im really shocked bane was so high. i knew it would be on the list. but i thought if any of his american movies were being to be on the 1 spot it would be inception because the movie is so popular. bronson was easily his best.
Charlie Drummond I think Locke should've been number 1. I personally loved the movie, but it's understandable that some people don't, everyone either loves or hates it. But it's the one of my favorite performances of all time, alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in What's Eating Gilbert Grape :D
His perfomance as Alfie Solomons in Peaky Blinders is beyond excellent. Alfie was a character that you would hate with the things that he'd done to the Shelby Family, but thanks to Hardy's perfomance he became one of my favourite characters in the series. Couldn't even hate him in the last episode of Season 4. The guy is a brilliant actor!
have you seen him in Child 44, which he did with Noomi Repace from The Drop and Gary Oldman from Batman and Lawless?.. dark subject, but I like that one a lot too
C.B Black that film sucked from my perspective. Hardy was the only thing which held it together. Leo plays himself over and over again. he's like John Wayne or Clint Eastwood...same style. very few are character actors today.
+stormbringerr mourn His accent there was awful though. I only stuck around to the end because he's a great actor but the accent kept making me laugh/cringe. Not a Brooklyn accent at all! I kept wondering how Gandolfini let him continue speaking like that instead of helping him out.

jedaaa im 18 and have actually done courses on film and tv and worked with a director/film maker who also agrees so you know you can state your opinion but at the end of the day most people loved it because it was simply a master piece.
In the last 10 years? Where is the story? The whole film revolves around the Mel Gibson Max and special effects, it is one step up from the Star Wars prequels. Try movies like The Nice Guys, Sicario, John Wick, The Martian, Fury , The Dark Knight series, Inception, The Bourne Identity, the Kill Bill series, Django Unchained, Taken and there are many more that trump Max Max: Fury Road.
Has become my favorite new actor by far. Will watch anything with him in it. A phenomenal talent we haven't seen come out of Hollywood in far too long! My favorite role/movie of his was Legend. Should be #1 on list; especially as he played both roles of the Kray twins simultaneously!

Black2Canada He definitely wasn't bad. Christopher Nolan's Batman was more grounded in "reality". If you don't like him as Bane cause it isn't like the Bane of the comics I feel that isn't really a valid reason to dislike him, but if you think he acted bad I guess that's your opinion :o
Hughjellybeans I'm not saying that he's a bad actor. I'm saying he doesn't fit/belong in superhero movies. Since that god awful bane role people having been gassing his head to the point where now he thinks he can play any hero or villain. For example their as been talk of having him play Deathstroke, Punisher, and even Apocalypse.
Black2Canada I think he'd play a pretty good Wolverine. He's short (relatively), he's intimidating, he's buffed and could play a great pissed off character.
El Critico Molesto I was actually thinking the exact same thing. But I doubt it will happen anytime soon since Hugh Jackman wants to play Wolverine as long as he is alive
Pretty sure it wasn't out when this vid was made, but alfies speech to Tommy in peaky blinders about how Tommy's anger was unjustified EASILY puts it to number 1. Best scene I've seen in television
I'm not much of a movie guy but I happened to watch legend which I found to be a great movie, and became aware of Tom Hardy and his acting. Ended up buying 4 books on the krays, then watch Bronson with the same results. This man is special.....
thank you for this. and totally LOVE everything you said about his Alfie in Peaky Blinders. as much as i was loving that show and the actors' work, adding Tom raised the bar of each episode he was in. watching him and Cillian working together is always the absolute best!! I just couldn't get enough of Alfie (even if i did need subtitles ;) )
There so many other great performaces of him though that need a mention: wuthering heights, stuart: a life backwards, venom, mad max, the revenant... He is needless to say, a legend
I like tom hardy cause his characters always win over the actor... I mean it... I finally understood who tom hardy is just after taboo .. Then i reconnected how many good movies i saw with him. He s intense.
Bronson is easily his best performance. Though the Dark Knight was his most notable because it's a Batman movie, Bronson will always dwell in the back of mind. He's so eff'n talented.

I wouldn't say his best role is Bane to be honest. Sure he was good, but I feel he did much better in lower movies on the list.
Lol you said he was a good bane
Black2Canada
He definitely wasn't bad.
Hardy was awesome in a subltle way in the Drop.....one of the better actors of this day and age....
Obviously after this list, but his Winston Churchill was amazing, got goosebumps watching the final speech
He's the best actor of his generation (also the sexiest) and my favorite role of his is Freddie from ,,The Take"
Mine is Bane 😍
Pretty sure it wasn't out when this vid was made, but alfies speech to Tommy in peaky blinders about how Tommy's anger was unjustified EASILY puts it to number 1. Best scene I've seen in television
One of the best actors ever.
very true!
100% best in class
His portrayal of Freddie Jackson should have been number 1. It’s truly a work of art and I’ve never seen a better villain!
Самый любимый фильм с Харди ПРИКУП. ❤❤❤
Yes, yes 👍👍👍👍🔥
I'm not much of a movie guy but I happened to watch legend which I found to be a great movie, and became aware of Tom Hardy and his acting. Ended up buying 4 books on the krays, then watch Bronson with the same results. This man is special.....
thank you for this. and totally LOVE everything you said about his Alfie in Peaky Blinders. as much as i was loving that show and the actors' work, adding Tom raised the bar of each episode he was in. watching him and Cillian working together is always the absolute best!! I just couldn't get enough of Alfie (even if i did need subtitles ;) )
Thanks Sherilyn🌹💕💕

Hello 👋
I want to say thanks for all your warm comments and support you’ve showered at me..
If you don’t mind how long have you been a fan of my work?
There so many other great performaces of him though that need a mention: wuthering heights, stuart: a life backwards, venom, mad max, the revenant... He is needless to say, a legend
Nowdays the best Actor! New level of FILM.
Warrior. My favourite, for all the MMA stuff it was emotionally powerful.
His voice is spectacular
He's Hollywood's reckoning.
we need to add Legend to this list as well
How do you not have Taboo on this list? He was brilliant and super hot in this excellent show. Already truthfully, he is good in everything!
Legend Revenant, Mad max...
came out before them
Now what about John Flitzgerald in "The Revenant" (2015)?
Um what about his take on Ronnie and Reggie Kray in Legend? That was an amazing performance!
Hello my lovely friend. how are you doing I'm Tom hardy⚘⚘I really love your comment. Nice to meet you❤❤
How did they narrow it to 10? Everything he's done has been epic.
"I'm not getting on the fuckin' roof!" - Black Hawk Down. Tom Hardy is a legend.
I like tom hardy cause his characters always win over the actor... I mean it... I finally understood who tom hardy is just after taboo .. Then i reconnected how many good movies i saw with him. He s intense.
Same here. Now I'm obsessed with him
Tom Hardy's performance in Bronson was insanely good. I didn't even realize he was in Black Hawk Down or Band of Brothers.
I remember seeing Tom hardy got the first time in the take!! It is an amazing film he is so good!! I think he is one of the beat actors ever!!
Hello my lovely friend. how are you doing I'm Tom hardy⚘⚘I really love your comment. Nice to meet you❤❤

This guy now is about as good as it gets.
Who's looking forward to Tom Hardy playing as venom
Not me bro
It sucked
Still better than the ff4 remake
Shiite
I love him great acting handsome too
Bronson is easily his best performance. Though the Dark Knight was his most notable because it's a Batman movie, Bronson will always dwell in the back of mind. He's so eff'n talented.
This dude has a different voice for every character he plays. pretty damn impressive.
+Matt Dargis Yep; the man transforms in a way people don't even recognize him from previous projects. That the real deal!
beatiful lips
I have similar lips and I have been picked on for them...I hate having bigger lips
No i think its horrible
slyfoot soldier You shouldn’t hate your lips! Big lips are good for kissing 😏
Stuart: a Life Backwards 2007 a stunning performance is missing
Need to add Ron kray from legend to the list. 'Give, Ron Kray, your fuckin sausage'.
Locke is definitely his best performance imo
+kringkingen major skills required.
Tom Hardy in Legend is a Legend
he is amazing.love this guy
Its to hard to me decide whats his best performance.
Amazing Man! He is just perfect . Also like a human .
WE LOVE YOU TOM!!!
1. Warrior
2. Lawless
3. Legend
Forrest Bondurant was his baddest character if u ask me.
The Kray brothers in Legend (2015) should be on this list
I love him in wuthering heights

If you don’t mind how long have you been a fan of my work?
my top:
•Cumbres Borrascosas
•Taboo
•DK Rises
•Warrior
•Bronson
plus:
•Peaky Blinders
•Inseption
•Mad Max
•The Revelant
•Leyend
•Venom
He's awesome in everything but my favourite Tom Hardy performance is as Freddy Jackson in Martina Cole's The Take
Cannot believe this is only in the "honorable' stuff. Definitely my top 3.
Deffo the best in take
My #1
I first saw him as Heathcliff in Wuthering Heights and to me he's the best on screen Heathcliff I've seen.
Tom in Withering Heights. He plays the best Heathcliff ever ❤️
Very true, it's amazing!!!!😍
I have to watch that because so far for me, Ralph Fiennes did it for me.
His character in Taboo as James Delaney is super sexy and badass
Right?! 😍😍
