Welcome to the sixth part of my new series of guitar improvisation and phrasing tips.
Last week, we looked at a limitation exercise called ‘The Name Game’. In this lesson, we look at some creative ways to improve our phrasing with The Name Game's arguably more abstract sister-exercise. I like to call it ‘The Numbers Game’.
I let the D Dorian backing track run throughout the video and at the end, so you can try out some of the ideas for yourself.
Please note that there is no TAB for this lesson as all of the licks are improvised (including the mistakes!)
