Honestly impressed with your growth over the past 2 years, when everybody else was down you were standing up. Paul your vision on success and happiness really sets the tone for this Chanel as well as Michelle behind the scenes putting your family and friends first. I'm looking forward to seeing the growth of the business as well as the family.

Some word of wisdom. I learned to build my shelves no deeper than 12 inches. That way you can always find what your looking for. If you have deep shelves every thing gets buried behind stuff and you can’t find it.

This is a smart man. I built a bunch of 24 in deep shelves in my garage and am forever moving "commonly used stuff" at the front trying to find where I put that once-a-year tool tucked away somewhere behind.

The shop is nice, but one of the things I like about your style is the rawness and ingenuity you learned from your dad. You use what you have to create great things that are stuck together with duct tape, baling wire, and sentimental memories. It is inspirational. I am happy about your success and growth for you and your family. I am just selfishly hoping that even if you take the cowboy out of the country you cannot take the country out of the cowboy. I am trying to learn how to weld and daring to take on projects I have always been afraid to try because I can see that even the attempt is worth the outcome, and that outcome doesn't need to be perfect to be good enough. Thanks, and at least scratch the new paint a little.

I love how everyone kicked in to help with the shop. It shows the virtues of family and a small community. I also like that when you can that you farm out work to relatives and friends, it is easy to just hire a carpenter but it means so much more to be able to help provide for those you care about.

Something to be said about a clean and organized work space. Sure projects require tools and equipment etc. but there is always that Saturday afternoon when you have to just clean up because everything is everywhere. I have a three car garage and finally last year, after 20 years in the house we built, we did the epoxy floors, bright white walls, awesome LED lighting, sound bar for tunes, fans for ventilation, a couple of heaters, shelving and tool organization and wifi boosters for various devices. Hung up "Old Glory", a banner supporting my beloved Marine Corps and one for the Constitution. The garage is now my hiding place. Your shop is very cool with lot's of character! Awesome transformation!

It was a little amazing seeing all the engines, heads, carbs, etc…. that came down from that storage area up above your lathe and machining tools…. Richard and Randall did a great job for you…. I like the growth in the channel that has allowed you to add the insulation to the shop…. Congratulations to both Paul and Michele, the shop looks amazing, and that icon tool box will generate a few envious comments…
Can you show if the engine parts, heads, carburetors, etc get moved back upstairs to the new organized storage area ? I suspect it might not all fit when organized, or at least that has been my experience…

Definitely a working man's shop, well done. I was concerned when you walled off and built all the shelves upstairs that you wouldn't have a way to fork-lift anything up, the new extension helps, hope you can access the shelf area from there so you can lift a load at a time an not have to hand carry up/down the stairs when a pallet at a time would save the knees and back. Keep up the great work.

Love the shop improvements. That insilation is going to come in real handy in a few days, up there.
I built an (12 inch) "I" beam and trolly roller winch set up that goes all the way across the shop floor and over into my overhead storage above my machine shop. This way I can winch up my engines and transmissions and roll them into the overhead storage without a fork lift. Keeps them off the floor so I'm not always tripping over them.
(My forklift is one of those 5 foot tall pallet type fork lifts that you pump up with your foot and push around.) It's perfect for unloading deliveries off Semis when they back up to the shop door. Wish I had space to an small old powered Clark or something. Too many projects! LOL

Great job Randall and Richard! That was a shit-ton of work getting all of the walls cleaned and framed. Nice work. I think someone deserves a bonus. Glad to see you're feeling better, Michelle, that was one hell of an impact you took. Be well, one and all.

What a great job you guys did with that shop. You need to add somewhere for all those engines and trannies though.

Paul the shop looks amazing! Love what y’all are doing, seeing how you do things has given me the confidence to take on some awesome stuff. Differentials have always been a “mysterious black box” to my dad and I. Well thanks to watching your videos and seeing that it’s really not as fussy as some people make it out to be, I went for it and put 4.10’s in the ole Cherokee. I’ve got a few thousand miles on it now and they’re still nice and quiet and haven’t exploded yet! Just make sure your pattern is pretty ok and the backlash is in spec. Not actually that hard!

Nice job with the shop! You're going to love the spray foam insulation. It does a great job keeping it cool in the summer and warm in the winter plus it seals up the drafty buildingmore than you'd think!

Hey Paul a couple of things from my experience of running a shop for many years #1 if you leave the oil drain plug out when you go to remove the oil filter a lot of time more oil will flow back down into the oil pan #2 you really should not add brake fluid , the level is a good indication of how much brake pad is left and when you go to change pads and compress the pistons on the calipers the fluid will rise back up in the reservoir . not nit picking just some things I have noticed in my time as a mechanic. But keep up the awesome work Love the show and love the new shop look!!!

I learned the same thing about brake fluid. If it hasn’t all leaked out. It’s just pad wear. 👍🏻

Hi Paul. I spray foamed my 32' x 48" pole barn shop with 3" of spray foam some years ago and it was the best thing I ever did. The insulation was great and it tightened up the whole structure. Good luck with your efforts. Great RUclips channel.
